Different thoughts crossed her mind as the designers were preparing her for the show.
She wasn't the type that attended public events or wore dresses that were often worn by models, she preferred to dress in pants and leather jackets. The parties she usually attends were always related to her job, so she didn't need to wear dresses.
But, here she was, preparing for a modeling show. She had never imagined being a model for anyone before, it wasn't because of her appearance, she had every aspiring model needed.
Good height, long legs, slender body, attractive skin tone and long red hair. She was sure if she appeared once in a modeling show, the whole modeling industry would shake, they would be looking for her everywhere.
"All done, ma'am." The designer said with a board smile on her face.
Calla looked at her reflection in the mirror, she was stunned by what she saw.
She had thought she looked really beautiful on her wedding, but she was wrong. The lady in the mirror was far more gorgeous and elegant than the lady at the wedding.
She was wearing a long sexy black dress that hugged her thighs and exposed her shoulders and back, she wasn't sure if the dress was appropriate for her as a married woman, but she didn't say a word about it to the designer.
Her hair was tied up into a ponytail, with some hair falling to her forehead. Her makeup wasn't too heavy or too light for her face, it was just the appropriate amount.
Her shoes were decorated with diamonds in order to compliment the diamond necklace that she was going to use for the show. She didn't love things that were overly flashy, but she definitely loved the shoes.
"Is there anything you would want me to adjust in the dress, makeup or anything else?."
Calla loved how nice the designer was to her, but she didn't know if she was only being nice to her because she was Davis wife or not.
She shook her head.
"You have done an amazing job."
The designer was so happy hearing the boss's wife praising her.
"I did not do much, Mrs Williams, you were born to be a model, everything about you is meant for the stage." She said happily.
Calla smiled upon hearing the older woman's words, this wasn't the first time someone had told her that.
Most of the time when she goes to the mall to buy groceries, those who saw her would think she was a model, when asked, she would deny. They would shake their heads sadly and say. "Such a waste, you are meant for the stage."
She would simply smile at them and continue with her shopping.
"I believe they are more beautiful ladies than me out there in the modeling industry, I wouldn't stand I chance if I got in." She lied. She knew too well that none of the models could be compared to her, but she couldn't say that in front of all these people, or else they would think she was self-absorbed.
All those who heard her were surprised, she thought she wasn't beautiful enough?
She was the most beautiful woman any of them had ever seen. She was even more gorgeous than that Zoey Wilmer who was a so cocky and always walked with her head held up in pride.
They were sure she would be at the show, since she worked for Davis.
"Ma'am, it's almost time for the show."
She looked towards the door and saw a young handsome guy with curly blonde hair of about her age walking to where she was sitting.
"You must be Marcus." She said already getting up from the couch.
"Yes, I have been assigned specially by the boss as your personal driver and assistant." His voice was rather too soft for someone who was going to be following almost everywhere. He didn't even look tough at all, she was sure if he saw her in a work clothes, then if my urinate in his pants.
The girls were surprised to hear that such a cute man was going to be Calla's driver and assistant, how lucky. She had an overly handsome husband and a cute assistant.
They secretly have wished they were in her shoes.
After all was finally done, the designers left, leaving only Marcus and Calla in the sitting room. Lola had left to go prepare lunch, immediately the designers started working on Calla.
"You look rather too weak to be my assistant." She said in a cold voice that shocked him, he didn't know this woman could be so cold like his boss. How scary, two cold couples.
And did she just call him weak?.
Yes, he wasn't physically muscular, but he could still protect her when in danger, that was why the boss trusted her to him.
"Mrs Williams, I am sorry if I am not what you were hoping for, but I promise I can protect you, if need be."
She laughed inwardly, she was the one who was going to protect him, if need be, not the other way round.
"I will take your word for it." She responded and headed to the car that was parked in the driveway.
The car stopped in front of a massive building that was located in the middle of the city.
She looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"I believe this is not the venue for the show."
He felt embarrassed for not saying anything about where they were.
"Forgive me for my mistake, Ma'am. This is the headquarters of Diamonds Entertainment Group, where the boss works."
She rolled her eyes at him, she already knew where they were, why they were here, was what she didn't understand.
"You are really bad at giving explanations, you know that, right?." Even though she wasn't using her cold tone, he felt like she was scolding him.
"Forgive me, Ma'am." He sounded really sorry.
"The boss asked me to bring you here, you would be attending the show together."
She gasped in shock, she didn't know that they would be going to the show together, hand in hand. She all of a sudden felt dizzy from the thought of having to hold hands with him.
