Chapter 12 - Go and bring her myself

"Tell her I am looking for my wife, she came here with a man in a Rose Royce. I don't know who the man is, that's why am worried." Davis couldn't believe he gave in to this little girl and even revealed the fact that he was worried about his wife to her.

Amelia fell silent for a while. Then she looked at the man with a serious expression.

"I know where your wife is but you can't follow me to where she is, I will go and bring her myself."

Davis looked at her and raised his eyebrow.

"How am I sure you are going to come back with my wife?." He asked in a serious tone.

She responded without hesitation. "Here, take my doll it is very precious to me, my dad gave it to me. I will come back with your wife, but you have to promise me to keep Cutie safe."

"Who is Cutie?" He asked.

She rolled her eyes at him.

"You look smart but I guess you are not. Cutie is my doll, can't you see how cute she is?." she sounded irritated by his question.

The three men were shocked, no one had ever dared to speak to Davis in such a manner. This girl obviously didn't know who she was talking to.

"I will keep your doll safe. Garcia, take the doll from the little girl."

Garcia was about to collect the doll from Amelia but she refused to hand it over to him.

"What is the problem, little girl," he asked in a cold tone.

"Since you are the one who is looking for your wife, you should be the one to hold my doll. So if anything happens to my dear doll, something also would happen to your dear wife."

Davis was stunned it sounded like the little girl was threatening him.

He took the doll from her.

She smiled. "That is good Davis, I will be back with your wife, just give me a minute." she rushed back to where she had come from.

The three men looked at each other. They could only wait for the little girl to return.

Somewhere in the forest...

"You still haven't told me why you are dressed like this," Liam said pointing at her dress.

She rolled her eyes. "My husband asked me to, he wants me to be a model for their stupid diamond necklace."

Liam started laughing so hard that his head began to hurt him.

"You, a model, since when?." he laughed more.

She was irritated by his laughter. "It isn't funny, Liam. I hate him so much."

He stopped laughing at her and kept a serious expression. "You will make a good model, Calla, the world will finally see that you are meant for the stage. I am kind of glad he is making you model his necklace."

She couldn't believe him, was he now on her husband's side?

"You are not serious, Liam, or are you?." she asked with a raised eyebrow. "Since when did you start supporting Davis?." she sounded amused.

His gaze turned serious. "I will never support Davis, never. I am just glad you are finally going to appear on stage, I want the world to see how gorgeous you are, Calla."

She let out a short laugh. "I get you, Liam, no need to get all serious."

He chuckled, "You like the unserious me, Are you tired of being around your overly serious husband?."

"I am so tired of him, Liam. I need a break from him." she sounded so tired.

"Why don't you leave him and come to me?." He said. He loved her dearly but she preferred to be with a man who hates her and she hated him also, how ridiculous.

She sighed. "Here we go again, you know I can't leave him now, I haven't gotten my revenge on him yet."

Her words were enraging him, why couldn't she just move on already?

It's been six years already but she couldn't just let go.

"Let go of the hate, Calla. It's been six years." he sounded like he was mad at her.

She looked at him with a shocked face. "I didn't expect this from you, Liam. You are aware of the number of therapists that I had to visit just to be able to get rid of the trauma, but it was useless because each time I came back from the doctor's appointment, the nightmares would only get worst. I tried so many times to forget about it but I couldn't. Some people thought I was insane because of the way I acted anytime I remembered what Davis did to me. But then I met Dr Richardson who helped me a lot and I regained my sanity and peace of mind. He only taught me one thing and that's what keeps me alive." By the time she was done talking, her eyes were cloudy, she fought hard to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall.

Liam gritted his teeth as he heard all she had been through. He was aware of all the things she had just said, those were the worst days of his life. Watching her get thinner each day due to lack of appetite, and seeing the heavy lines under her eyes each morning made his day miserable. He had confronted Davis a lot of times to apologize to Calla for the way he treated her, but he would only ask him to leave when he was done talking. He was happy the day he saw her smile again after three years of keeping a sad face.

"Being with him will only bring back those bad memories." He said in a sad tone.

What he said was true, but the memories only came when she was close to him, like when they were cooking together, and when he forcefully kissed her the memories would come flooding in.

"It isn't as bad as you think. The nightmares only come once in a while. It has gotten a lol better over the years." she said while at the same time adjusting her hair and makeup.

He breathed out slowly. "I just want you to be happy, but if that jerk tries to make you cry, even if it is just a tear, I will make him pay dearly. I have left him over the years because I thought you wouldn't have anything to do with him, but now that you are married to him, if he makes you feel even the slightest pain, he will suffer greatly for it." His eyes were filled with hate and his voice was very cold, almost sending chills down her spine.

She smiled warmly at him. "I will be fine. Amelia is coming, I have to go. I appreciate what you have done for me today and I will remember all that you have said here I promise you that if I should leave Davis, I will come to you."

He knew she was saying the truth because of how bright her eyes were.
