"Matilda, it's finally the day". Melissa whispered into the ear of her sister, who smiled cutely.
"Stubborn girl, will you not allow the stylist to do their job?" Matilda asked her sister before she took her gaze off her.
In excitement, her gaze landed on the mirror facing her, which made her mouth went agape at how beautiful she was.
The fact that she was looking gorgeous isn't what made her feel happy, it's because it's the day she longed for.
The day she will walk side by side with her vicious uncle to the hall, and take the wedding vow in the presence of haters, loved ones, and well-wishers.
"Ma, you are indeed worthy of being called the face of Kay's". The stylist, who just finished styling her hair, muttered as she glared at Matilda, who was looking breathtaking in her bridal hairstyle.
"All thanks to your perfect service". She muttered before she took the final view of herself in the mirror.
Her image which reflected in the mirror was not any exemption, how beautiful she looks. Her golden color long bridal gown, dark brown hair in a bun, pretty face, was all any man would seek to grace in a lady.
"It's time to show Freeland the most stunning bride in the year 2023. I can't wait to be the most popular newly married lady in the country". She echoed slowly as she cat walked in excitement.
Now she is a complete woman. Her last wish in 2023 is about to happen in just the first month of the year. Her wish to live happily with her husband, and her sister, was all she dreamt of all through the nights before today.
"Matilda! Are you still behaving childishly when today is your wedding?" A masculine voice, from outside the dressing room, echoed loudly.
"Uncle Fred, I am just learning how to walk majestically to the wedding hall, do I not deserve to do that?" She asked her uncle, who chuckled loudly.
Everyone already knew the almighty sassy Matilda will always eat up their time, but did they have a choice? Who will want to miss the wedding of two lovebirds? Who wants to be left out of the wedding album of the world well-known Heiress?
"Matilda, enough of wasting their time". She echoed to herself before she walked up to the exit door.
She felt a bit anxious since it's the first time standing in front of the crowd all because of a man.
"Don't be scared! You are supposed to be happy to receive your first-ever kiss". She pinched herself as she tried to remain calm by thinking naughtily.
Matilda is the second sister of the Karen family. She had a sister, who died the next day they lost their parents.
It was hard for her to grow up all by herself around vicious people, but she was able to pull through with the support of her younger sister.
Unlike every billionaire, she is rude, arrogant, and crazy. Some call her the sweet weirdo, crazy nerd, psycho, bitch.
She had lived her life as the CEO of Kay's co-operation for four years even when she knew many people wanted her down, she tried all her best to keep fighting, and make them hate her more.
"Matilda, everyone is getting mad at you when they are supposed to be angry!" Her sister's voice echoed loudly.
"They can go to hell all I care for!" She yelled before she pushed the door open with her gown sweeping the gown.
"Matilda, let go".

In a hall designed beautifully with flowers, different colors of light which reflected on everyone seated, chairs and table in its front, everyone sat quietly as they waited patiently for Matilda.
After the long waits from both the crowd, the priest, and the groom, Matilda finally arrives in the hall with her uncle holding her arm as they walk gently, yet slowly into the hall.
Everyone got captivated by how beautiful she looked in person, and how gorgeous the bride's gown looked on her.
For the first time she acted nicely to anyone, she smiled at the crowd, and waved at them before she finally took her arm from the hand of her uncle, who was faking a smile.
"I wish you a happy married life, only if you know what awaits you". She heard that right. Her cousin, who was also her rival in both education, business affairs, and the competition world, muttered slowly as she walked up to the podium.
Standing on the podium, was the priest, and her husband, whose hand was tucked in the neatly ironed suit with his face beaming with a smile as he stared at his wife.
"The bride is finally here, can the wedding activity begin?" A man in his forties, who stood in front of the both of them with a Bible tightly held by him as he asked.
"Yes! Can't wait for Matolin!" The crowd echoed joyfully as they shouted out the combination names of both Matilda, and her husband.
"Can we begin?" He asked the Couples, who stared at each other before nodding their heads joyfully.
"Yes sir". They chorused.
"William Olin, did you agree to take Karen Matilda as your lawful wedded wife?" The priest asked Olin, who obviously couldn't wait to answer that question.
"Yes I do!" In excitement, he replied with a big smile on his handsome face.
"Matilda Olin, did you agree to take William Olin as your lawful wedded husband?" The man asked Matilda, who nervously nodded her head before she responded.
"I do. I take him as my husband! I want to spend the rest of my life with him". Tears of excitement cascaded her face at the thought of screaming out how she felt, linger in her.
"Is there anyone against this marriage? If there is any, raise your hand up!" The man echoed with his gaze on the crowd, who went silent.
"You, why are you against this marriage?" He asked a lady who raised her hand up with a faint smile on her face.
"Why are you against their union?"
"Can she overcome what comes after marriage? If she does, then I support their marriage". The lady echoed with a bright smile while some frowned at her with the thought of tagging her 'attention seeker'.
"Since there is no one against this union, I will permit the couples to carry on with their wedding v—" He was about to finish up what he was saying when a voice chipped in.
"I'm against it!" A woman, roughly dressed in a dirty gown, obviously pregnant.
"Why did you oppose their union?" He asked the lady before he turned his gaze to Olin, who was trying to act calm, then to the woman.
"It's because Williams Olin is a cheat! He abandoned me with a three-year-old boy, and pregnancy, only to marry a rich girl? Did he think he could ruin my life, and carry on with his?" Tears streaming down her eyes, she asked sadly as she walked up to Olin, who was hiding his face in shame.
"Olin, tell me this isn't true? Tell me this is all a lie?" Matilda, who didn't wait for the priest to continue, nor did she care about the crowd that was uproar in awe, asked loudly.
"I also thought it was a dream when he left me, and now it knocks me hard how true it was! He stole my money, and made me suffer with my poor son!" The lady echoed sadly with a frown on her face as she tried to hit Olin, who was prevented from her touch by the security.
"Ol—" Matilda couldn't complete her head before she fell unconsciously to the ground with her head hitting the ground, and blood gushing out extremely.
"Matilda! No, Matilda, wake up!" Melissa shook her sister's body, screamed as tears rushed out from her hazel eyes.
