"Young man, who are you?" Melissa took her hand from her sister before she took a step closer to the man, who just scoffed.
"I'm the owner of h–"
"He is my husband. Yes, I am married to him. I…" Matilda interrupted Derrick as she stuttered.
What is the best definition for their relationship? How can she explain everything to her sister? Even if she decides to tell her, will Melissa believe her?
"Matilda, what the h*ll is going on? Did the sickness affect your brain? Uh?" Melissa walked away from the man, who was busy smirking at the reaction of the two girls.
Slowly, Melissa took a few steps closer to her sister as her hand made way to her reddened cheeks.
She exhaled before she took away her hand, and placed it on Matilda's neck. "Damn! Your body is warm. It is obvious that you are fine, but did your head hurt? Is your brain still intact?" After she took her hand away from Matilda's body, she asked curiously.
According to what Alena said, Melissa won't survive if she did not come back with the drug on time.
She did not know what was wrong, but can the doctor be wrong about the diagnosis? What about Alena?
If her sister will be alive, why will she instruct her to get the drug hastily?
"Young lady, the rain will begin in five minutes time, and if it starts, we will be stuck here". Derrick's voice disrupted Melissa's thought.
"I think you both are n*t!" With that, Melissa walked towards the direction of her car, but didn't meet it there.
She roughed her hair as she tried her best not to shout.
How can she lose her sister's favorite car? Did she have a death wish, or want one?
At the back of Melissa, Matilda sister, and Derrick were busy chuckling lowly as they stared at naive Melissa.
"Ms Matilda, let teleport to your house. In three minutes time, it will start raining". Derrick whispered closely.
Matilda hit his chest slowly before she whispered back, "are you crazy? Did you want to freak my sister out? Don't you know she had a phobia of surprises?"
"How will I know? Am I your family?" Derrick parted his lips seductively as those questions came out of it.
"Derrick, don't ask me questions! Bring the car without Melissa knowing. I don't want to get stuck here! Melissa hates rain too". She didn't care if she sounded crazy, or ordering, as all she cared about was protecting her sister.
The only reason she asked for a year to live is for the sake of Melissa!
Melissa is her only hope. She is the only one she pinned all her expectations on.
Matilda will never give away her father's hard-earned company to her ruthless uncle, neither will she allow Alena to take a dime!
"Young Ms, what are you looking over?" The pretentious voice of Derrick disrupted Matilda from her thought, as it also made Melissa jerked off.
'Matilda will kill me. Oh God, please help me. I need to find this car'. As she turned to face Derrick, she prayed inwardly.
After she finally turned to face her Derrick, she gasped at the sight of her sister. 'How can her sister be standing there? How long has she been there? Does she know her car was missing?'
"Young Ms, I think this might be the car you were looking for". Derrick pointed to the opposite direction Melissa was.
"How did it get there? I remembered, vividly, I packed my car here. Yeah, it was here". Melissa blinked her eyes as she stared at the car in awe, her mouth wide opened.
Matilda chuckled as she watched her sister staring at the car with her mouth wide opened.
Matilda knew Melissa might be afraid of what she might do to her. She hated the fact that she had never cared for her, she had never treated her like a sister, she had never shared sisterly love with her, instead, she yelled, scolded, and mocked her for everything that happened!
"Young Ms, I'm tired. I am going to hoop into that that thing you call a car, and if you both do not enter, I will drive off!" With that, Derrick, who knew the exact rain that was about to pour down, walked to the car.
Both Melissa and Matilda blinked their eyes before they joined him.
As they got into the car, Derrick stared at the both of them that sat in the passenger seat before he uttered. "Among you both, who can drive fast?"
His questions made the ladies release gasps from the corner of their pretty lips as all they did was stared at him in amusement.
"Can't you both talk!" He yelled at the ladies, who immediately responded at the same time.
"I can drive!"
"Melissa come, and drive!" His ordering voice echoed in their ears, with his gaze fixed on the lady he just called.
Melissa stared at her sister before she walked to the driver seat.
To Melissa, she already grew hatred for him. She wished he wasn't her sister's husband, she would have embarrassed him, and taught him a bitter lesson.
"You have one minute to drive out of here!" After Melissa got a hold of the sheering, she heard his masculine echoed again.
"Me. Devil! You have no right to yell at my sister or order her! She isn't your servant! She has no business to do with you! I drag this upon myself, so let me deal with it!" Even in whispers, her voice sounded daring, and rude.
From her voice, you will tell how much rude she was. How she cares for no about thoughts!
After Derrick heard her whispered those words, he hesitated before he gave her a response. "Of course. Young lady, every help I render to you, and your sister, shall be paid!" "Now, look at your back!"
As if she was bewitched, she turned backward.
"What!" She couldn't help, but scream loudly at how dark the atmosphere was.
She stared at the weather for a while, before she stared at Melissa, then at the surroundings.
They are definitely going to get stuck! They are nowhere closer to the middle of the stranger, and weird place!
