Xander jumped and slashed the last of the flame demons which gave him a hard time.
With a shriek, the demon fell to the floor lifeless with multiple slash marks all over its body with blood gushing out.

The new skills were a benefit to Xander. He was about to call it quits and check out the village the game assigned him to but now that he's got these skills... He feels like he's ready for the final boss of this flame world.
He stood tall, looking up at the volcano that had smoke coming out of it. The volcano had an eerie feeling and the occasional roar of a creature coming from it was kind of scary.
The heat that came from the surface of the volcano felt so realistic that Xander thought he was really in another world.
Coming out of his thoughts he opened his status screen to check his current game progress.

[System note: A Sword magus can only activate one talent at a time]
This one was indeed a surprise to Xander. The new talent chain lightning was very useful.
He can see that both talents had their perks, fire slash was only activated after striking an enemy five times and it's in-upgradable whereas the chain lightning is upgradable and can deal damage to multiple enemies at once.
"I think chain lightning is better than fire slash as I could deal damage to multiple targets in a strike. I'll use this one, if I unlock a better one then... I'll abandon this one." Xander said as he took his eyes elsewhere.
He looked at the giant doors in the not so deep cave of the volcano still wondering whether he can challenge the boss or not.
"I think I'll come back. Besides, this is just a special level up mode for players, not the main focus of the game." Xander recalled.
The game focuses on one's leadership ability; If you don't have good leadership skills then you can only lose your territory to another player or worse, an NPC.
With his mind Xander summoned the system screen and quit the level up mode.
His vision went white before he appeared back at the tent that belonged to him in the game as village head.
"Ugh... I guess I should get to improving my territory," He said, stretching his body that felt quite sore in some places.
In that moment someone came into his tent making a not-so-loud shuffling sound.
Xander, with his nonchalant expression turned to see who it was and saw a woman. She had long rough black hair that cascaded down her back, her eyes were bright green in colour, she didn't wear much clothes and tied animal skin on her big boobs which still threatened to fall out and her waist areas. The animal skin did a bad job at hiding her figure though.
"My lord. I brought you food." She spoke with a bow.
Xander's brows grew uneven in confusion as he didn't understand as he was just a player.
Just as he was about to say something a few numbers flashed at the side of his eyes.
–100
"Huh? What the..."
"You have to eat unless your health will dwindle my lord," the woman said as she walked to Xander's side and sat beside him.
"So if I don't eat I'll probably die."
"Yes, and no. One can come back to life here... But for a price." The woman that was sitting beside Xander said.
Xander looked at the woman, still oblivious to who she is; but he guessed that she was... Part of the village.
"What's your role here?"
The woman looked at Xander quite shocked at his question before she said, "Well I'm your maid. But you already know that right?"
Xander still looked at her as if she was foreign to him and shook his head. He didn't know that the Lord's of territories were given maids.
If his hunch was correct, this game focuses more on the territories than actual strength. He just has to improve his territory to more advanced levels.
Xander smiled as he imagined becoming a president of a vast metropolis.
