Chereads / The only Unblessed / Chapter 34 - Apologies

Chapter 34 - Apologies

All the people in this room had just one thought in their minds. They were too stunned to ask, until a middle-aged woman said what everybody wanted to say: "What do you mean with that?"

She and all the people around her had no idea what was going on, and that let them tick out.

"Exactly what I said. The enemy is capable of porting themselves inside the castle walls, and they can do that every time. When we sleep, when we eat, when we shower, and we don't know what it is. It is unknown whether it is an item, a blessing, or a unique magic spell. We are completely clueless."

"Are you crazy? We left our villages and cities because they were destroyed. We have no home; this guild was our only hope, and now you want to say that we sleep right at the frontline waiting for our death?" A man said. He was angry and had no idea what to do. The people around him joined; they shouted at Amon and cursed him, the same way they did it back then.

"You fucking, unblessed asshole. I thought you were powerful; you declared that to the whole world, and now that The world was right from the start and your father was right from the very beginning, You should have died, or better yet, never been born."

BAAMMM!

Amon slammed the shell on the ground; it shattered into pieces. The sound of the breaking shell echoed through the whole hall.

"When have I ever said that I would capitulate and lose? I will fight and kill every single person that is going to attack this place. Say to me one thing: when did I ever say that I would help and save you? I just pitied you. Leave everyone and never come back." Amon hated everyone except these people from the very beginning. He only gave them what he received from the Qi back then. Pity; it was the feeling that saved him back then. Amon wasn't a saint, but he was also not a bad person. He did not enjoy seeing people in front of him crumble and die. He wanted to give them a second chance. But that was apparently impossible.

The maids reacted to his command and began to let the people out of the room.

"Wait!" General Most shouted before the maids were able to get the people out of the hall. General Most walked out of the crowd and went to Amon's podium. When he was 5 meters away from him, he got down on his knees and pressed his bald forehead against the ground.

"Please, I am begging you to let these people here." His voice trembled; he was as afraid as the people who insulted Amon just now.

"I know what we have done to you in the past, and I know what even I have done to you in the past. I made the wrong decision, and I'm sorry. These people have probably offended and hurt you too. I know that in your eyes, they no longer deserve to be here." He trembled; he feared for all the people. What he did was not an act. He was truly sorry. What he did was wrong, and what the people did was wrong.

"You have the right to send them away, but please forgive them. If they behave wrongly even once, you can shoot them straight to the battlefield. But please, this once, have mercy."

Amon received something he had only received a few times. It was an apology; he was always hated, and now there was this man kneeling in front of him, bagging him to show mercy.

"Alright, but under one condition. If someone behaves badly, I will hunt them out, and I won't even budge if they die or not. Second, they have to make themselves useful. The people from my guild are already busy enough defending the guild. They will cook, clean, forge, and heal wounds. If even one of them is not willing to work, then I throw that person out. Do you agree with that?"

"Yes." That was everything he said—nothing more and nothing less. He stood up, went out, and had to take care of the people and explain everything to them clearly. He made sure that these conditions were the only ones Amon would accept.

If someone was not satisfied with this condition, he had to leave. The people were upset at first and wanted to tell him to stand up for them. But he had already done that; if he hadn't, everyone would be banned from this guild and most likely die.

Many didn't accept that and left, but the rest who remained returned to the hall and apologized.

"Good, the maids will tell you what to do. Follow their instructions, make yourself useful, and we will defend you and make sure that you stay alive."

The people accepted that without any hesitation. Amon grinned and forgave them. He was ready to give them their last chance.

Two hours later in Amon and Roxanne's bedroom

"Who would have expected that he would bow down to you?" Roxanne had a nightgown on; she was relaxed, even though she knew that the enemy could attack at any time, especially at night. They prepared everything; all around the room were weapons and traps made of magic and Qi.

"You are right, that was a pretty funny show." Amon walked towards her and hugged her. He was stressed out this whole time, but every time he was here with Roxanne, he could relax and talk without thinking all the time.

"We can't sleep tonight, so let's talk, okay?" Roxanne gave the hug back and kissed Amon gently on the mouth. She was horny and wanted to do many things with Amon. Since they are married, the two of them fuck every night. They switched positions and thought about nothing other than pleasuring their partner. They have no time to do it all these days.

'Wait a minute, is this still healthy, or is this withdrawal already?" That thought crossed Roxanne's mind when she realized how badly she wanted Amon.

'Just like he promised it to me. He really made me addicted to him.' Amon said these words on their wedding night. In this world, premarried sex was highly forbidden. In many kingdoms, empires, and countries in this world, someone could get punished by law for that. This was also the reason why Roxanne threatened to kill the priest back then when they wanted to marry. It was at a time when she already longed for Amon to take her virginity.

"Hey Roxanne, could you tell Leon tomorrow that he has to do my part of the work?" Amon asked while still hugging his wife tightly.

Sure, but why?" It was unnatural for Amon to do something like this. She already had to fight with him when she said that she wanted to split the work he had with her. Originally, he made everything on his own. Only after wringing him dry for three straight days did he give in. Roxanne was never really the type of person to take the initiative. But back then, she tied him to her bed and did it until he gave in. Both of them learned one thing back then about each other. If Roxanne wanted something, she would get it. What he didn't know was that Roxanne would never do anything like that again. Amon did justice to himself later and did similar things to her. But it only took him 30 hours to make her capitulate.

"I will train starting tomorrow. It will take a few days, and I won't be able to stop it mid-process."

"Alright." There was nothing more she needed to know.
