Amon rode on his horse in the forest, even though he was just now in the groop of men who were with him at the starting point and were now spread all across the forest.
Amon discovered on his long journey that most of the monsters who are nocturnal are either attracted to light, just like moths, or run away like scared citties.
Each time he used the gate, he would either scare away or attract monsters. In general, it was most likely low-ranking monsters running from the light.
Normally, this is annoying because only strong monsters get attracted by light, but in a hunting competition, it is perfect.
He rode into the darkest part of the forest, where the treetops were so dense that not a glimmer of light came through.
He opened the gate, and its white glow soon attracted monsters. There were three at the count: a bloodhound, a shadow horse, and an ashbringer.
The bloodhound looks like a dog with red fur; a shadow horse looks like a horse that is mixed with black dust, and with this dust, it can walk inside the shadows; and an ashbringer is a ghost. He is only a skeleton anymore who wears the clothes of its victims. Together with a lenter in which a single flame burns.
Amon wastes no time; he draws his sword and jumps towards his enemy, and soon his blade gets covered in dark red flames. He swings his sword horizontally and cuts the boodhound from one temple to another. The dog falls to the ground, and Amon proceeds.
The ashbringer uses his lantern to cast a fireball. Amon covers the path of protection and creates a shield that protects him.
The fireball collided with the shield, leaving a small cloud of dust in its wake.
Amon used the cloud of dust to run with such speed that he was behind the ashbringer before it could even react.
"Path of power: little impact." Amon's fist got covered in red energy, and when he punched the spine of the ashbringer, it fell apart and its bones scattered all across the fighting stage.
Now he focused his attention on the last monster, the shadow horse. Amon knew that this was the strongest monster in the group.
The horse covered its body with black dust and disappeared in the shadow right under its own feet. The horse jumped out of the shadows and kicked Amon in the back, but was he strong enough to damage him? The answer is no.
Amon did not even budge.
'Path of Assassination: Shadow Walk' He turned around, took a step forward, and soon appeared on top of the horse.
He used the path of Assassination again, but now he used the technique of the spear. The nails on both of his hands grew and became sharp. Right now, his hands worked like a spear, so he used them.
Stab.
He stabbed the neck of the horse with his two hands and then ripped the shadow horse's head off. It was a big mess. He had no reason for killing it this brutally; he could have used his sword. He just did this automatically, and in the moment he was done, another monster appeared, an ogar.
The ogar was 3 meters tall, had gray skin, and had an ugly face. It had a big stomach and two muscular arms. Amon threw the head of the shadow horse away and held his sword tight in both of his hands.
He charged towards the monster, covered his sword with white energy, and slashed towards the legs of the ogar. The monsters cut off one of his legs. Now it kneeled with one knee on the floor in front of Amon.
Amon held his palm against the ogar and said in a dry tone,
"Path of Fire: Hellblast."
A giant black flame burst out of his open hand and burned the ogar's skin.
The ogar wiggled its body on the ground to extinguish the flames, but it didn't work. The monster tried to ignore the pain and stood up. It only trusted in its regenerative abilities and threw a powerful punch at Amon.
Amon dodged and slashed the arm of the moster with his sword.
He turned around, used the motion, and cut the stomach of the ogar open.
The ogar regenerated and tried to stop Amon. Which was in vain. Slideback pointed the tip of his sword against the ogar, and a black beam shot out of it.
The beam shot right through the heart of the ogar and led to its death.
"I need stronger monsters. The heads of these things are quite nice but also not worthy of being called gifts."
He tied the heads of the monsters to his horse and ran deeper into the forest until he finally found his opponent.
A demon tree.
The wood of the tree was pitch black, and its leaves were blood red. The tree had a huge face and was several meters high.
Amon caught the tree's attention, and soon huge black roots attracted Amon. Amon's body became wrapped in black bandages.
'Path of Darkness: Black-armored Devil'
He moved with the same speed he used to rip the head off back then, when he was fighting Aracna's giant mantis.
The demon tree had no problems following Amon's speed and trying to predict his movement.
Amon dodged them with a few acrobatic maneuvers and then used 'Hellflame' again. The black roots burned down, and Amon used the chance and got in front of the demon tree.
The demon tree threw huge black apples at Amon. The apples exploded in the second the touced Amon.
Boom!
A huge explosion was heard. You could even see the exposition from the spectator stands.
Amon was unharmed; the armor protected his body. He increased his speed and was now only a few meters from the trunk of the tree.
'Path of Strength: Horizontal Cut It was a simple name, but the attack was serious.
His sword was glowing with a dark green energy, and he slashed right through the trunk of the tree. The tree fell to the floor and died.
"I think that should be enough." on the part of the tree where its face was located.
"Path of Air: Upwind" The part he cut out began to flow in the air and follow him.
He returned to the starting line of the hunting range in order to give Roxanne his presents.
And after 10 minutes, he arrived there.
He was just in time. The ladies who waited for their men to come back They witnessed how Amon rode out of the forest and headed straight towards Roxanne. He wasted no time. She smiled a gentle smile and just said,
"I have a few thoughts for you, Roxanne."
Roxanne wrapped her arms around his neck, pulled him towards her, and kissed him. She did not care that she was in front of the princess. She was only happy that Amon did something like this for her. They weren't high-level monsters, but that didn't matter. She was just happy to see him again.
"I really need to find a lover." Ruby muttered.
