Chereads / The Game I Play / Chapter 2 - New Game(2)

Chapter 2 - New Game(2)

Game, how should I start the combat tutorial?

[Exit the compound through the front entrance]

I did as the system said. As I approach the front entrance I see a green barrier surrounding the entire compound on all sides like a bubble. Whatever is in this bubble must be the safe zone and the outside must be the dungeon zone. I step out of the compound and a menu appears before me.

Quest Created: Combat Tutorial

Test out your new skills before any serious dungeon diving and going to another world.

Tasks:

Test out every skill.

Slay 100 geese.

Clear the Geese dungeon by beating the Geese King.

New Safe Zone: Park

50 credits

Unlock first world transfer.

Quest cannot be rejected.

Before I could read the quest details, grayish black wings hit my face.

- 10 HP

I leap back to take a look at the 'thing' that came nowhere. It was a Canada goose for fuck sakes. As I was staring at the creature another menu pops.

Through action a new skill has been created

Observe LVL MAX

Find out the following information about any given target:

HP, MP, SP

Attributes, status, background and emotions

I was worried my gamer system didn't have [Observe]. Luckily that doesn't seem to be the case. [Observe] is one of those overpowered skills that comes with the gamer system. My thoughts are interrupted as I dodge a peck from the goose. These fuckers are just as obnoxious as they were back home. I take a chance to test out my new skill.

"Observe".

Canada Goose

A large wild goose with a black head and neck, white cheeks, white under its chin, and a brown body. It is said to be the manifestation of all the hate and anger of Canadians.

Level increases deeper into dungeon.

HP: 20/20

MP: N/A

SP: 8/10

Affection: -10 [It hates you because you exist]

"Likewise, Fuck you too". It's the perfect time to test out my new skills. I internally focus on the energy circulating through my body. While doing this I pull out the "information" related to [Electric Manipulation] from my mind and direct the energy inside me to flow according to said information. After doing this, I feel an extra sixth sense showing the multiple electric signals around me. I focus on the signal coming from the goose and mentally envision it going off. A loud squeal breaks my focus as I see the goose falling down dead.

[+10 EXP]

I can't believe it. I never thought I would ever use superpowers. I am finally a superhuman. I dodge an incoming peck and see 10 other geese in front of me, mourn their friend's demise. Hey, he attacked me first, so it's self defense. 5 geese launch an assault of pecks and I again dodge. Looks like I will need multiple hands to handle this and I know the best skill for this. Similar to how I cast [Electric Manipulation], I cast [Shadow Clone] and feel my mana get cut by half. As the geese leap toward me, I create two clones. Six of the geese fall down as my clones use [Electric Manipulation] while the other four charge me, identifying me as the 'leader'. I step a few meters back to put some distance, gather energy in my palms and let the energy go by using [Electric Release]. I watch a stream of blue lighting exit my hand and fry the geese ahead of me.

[+100 EXP]

[2 credits]

[Leveled up]

[5 credits for leveling up]

I tensed as I felt my body getting stronger, more agile, and the 'energy'- which I am assuming is mana, increase. It is hard to explain, but I feel better synced with my body and my body feels more in sync with the world. I touch my body and it feels a little bit more toned and muscular. "Status"

The attributes have increased by 5? I thought it was only one point per level increase.

[Each system has their own different rules]

I sure did luck out with my system. There are probably people who have got a better system, though I am not complaining since my life looks brighter than before. Anyways, unlike most people I am going to save my points till I get to the level where it's harder to level up or am in danger and need a quick power boost. I could always increase attributes through practice and I bet there are items in the Store that would artificially increase stats. Another reason for more credits.

"Boss what now?"

I look up and see my shadow clones stare at me and each other awkwardly.

….

We stare at each other for a good minute. I guess even my shadow clones inherit my social awkwardness. Another thing that the anime never covered.

"Split in different directions and try to get as many geese as you can. If you see any stronger mobs or the boss, don't bother fighting and dispel to let me know". The clones nodded and went to attend to their tasks. I did the same. Even if I encounter the boss, I am going to first kill as many geese as I can to collect the most exp possible. I still don't know the world I am going to, and the system refuses to tell me so. Hence I need to be as strong as I can before embarking on my adventure. Less yapping, time to grind.

(1 hour later)

I jumped high avoiding multiple pecks and flying kicks. One of the kicks hits an oak tree creating a huge crack on the bark. Couple of things happened during my grind session. Apparently the geese get stronger, the deeper you go into the dungeon but also give more exp. I learned this the hard way as two of my clones dispelled from attacks from huge flocks of geese. On the bright side, I have leveled up to Lvl 9 and I wouldn't have been able to do so without my clones.

I focus on the army of geese ahead of me and use both [Electric Manipulation] and [Electric Release]. I played around with [Electric Manipulation] and discovered that I can temporarily paralyze any muscle by disrupting the electric signals in the nerve group. A flash of blue escapes my hand thundering toward the geese. The geese try to dodge but I use [Electric Manipulation] to 'disable' their wings and limbs so they take the hit and become fried chicken. Using these two skills simultaneously requires a lot of concentration but practice makes perfect and I am getting the hang of it.

[+300 exp]

Damn it. I am just 100 exp short from Level 10. I decided to take a break and sit down underneath a tree. I grab the water I filled from my mansion and [Fried Geese] from my inventory. I don't know if it is safe to consume especially in a dungeon zone, but it looks and smells like KFC so I should be fine. I grab a bite and it really does taste the same except a bit more tangier. As I continue my meal I notice my HP, MP and SP going up. Even though I do not need to eat due to [Gamers Body] eating is still useful especially in the early stages where the regen is kinda slow. I also have 1025 Fried Geese sitting in my inventory so I won't run out of food anytime soon. I munch on my evening snack and look at the park around me. Save for the violent geese and goose poop, it really does look like a palace garden outside my mansion. My thoughts are interrupted as one of my clones dispel, letting me know the location of the dungeon boss. I make my way to the location sent by my clone.

I arrive in the thick wooded area my clone dispelled at and see an enlarged goose with three heads, each head containing a different element- fire, water and wind. The beaks are large and have sharp teeth. I use 'Observe' to get any usable information.

Goose King

A rabid mutant of a Canada Goose whose cells are infused with magic.

HP: 5000/5000

MP: 500/500

SP: 1500/1500

Affection: 0 [It doesn't know you exist]

"Fuck". It is way out of my league.

I thought I selected the 'easy' mode, Game?

[The goal of the Combat tutorial is to teach you how to handle tricky situations. You never know when you will face one]

"Geez. Stop acting like my dad." I quietly analyze the situation hidden behind a bush. The beast seems to be distracted eating a dead flock of other geese, meaning I can land a powerful first hit. But what after that? The goose king outclasses me in every aspect currently. I need a move that will end everything in one hit. But the thing has 5000 HP, what move would be able to do such damage? I ponder a bit before an idea hits me.

I silently create 10 shadow clones and quietly send them across the circumference of the circle of bushes surrounding the boss. Each clone and I use [Electric Release] to create a ball of electricity. As we add more mana into the spell, the blue ball of sizzling death grows in intensity. After running out of mana to put into the spell, we wait for a while before our mana replenishes and add the regenerated mana into the ball of electricity- increasing the overall damage of the ball. We repeated this process a couple of times until each ball held by every clone looked deadly. Even one of these balls would severely hurt(think of each ball containing the deadliness of a real life lightning strike). The reason I used clones is because unlike mana capacity, the mana regen isn't divided when using Shadow Clones. This means that I can regenerate more mana at a time using clones, than doing so individually. The mana capacity itself is not a problem since once it's full we can just store it in the electric ball.

Before the goose king finishes the last bite of its meal, my clones and I throw our deadly electric balls of death at full speed towards the goose king. As the goose king tries to dodge, I use the meager amount of mana I have left to use [Electric Manipulation] to stun its legs and wings, halting its dodge. The balls of electricity hit the oversized goose frying its feathers as it lets out an ear-piercing screech, hurt from the high voltage electric currents flowing through its body frying all its organs.

[-4800 HP]

Goose King: [200 / 5000 HP]

All my clones dispel due after using up their mana for their attack. The goose king shakily gets up after being fried, its three heads glaring at me hatefully. It then flaps its wings to jump high, surrounds each beak on each of its head with fire, water and wind blades respectively, and glides down on me, aiming to slice off my head and limbs clean. Damn it. I know I have to dodge it before one of its beaks slices my head off, but my legs won't move in time. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I don't want to die. I want to live luxuriously for once. Not having to worry about school and money ever again. Having the freedom to do whatever I want instead of slaving away for capitalists. Having a lover(s) to live a peaceful life with. Having people who care about me. I hated my previous life and this was supposed to be my opportunity to get the power I have always desired. I finally have my own mansion. In my previous life, I couldn't have even dreamt of affording a shitty apartment. I don't want to lose this opportunity. I won't. It's now or never. Choosing to fight instead of flight, I gathered all the remaining mana I could find in my body into my right fist. I convert most of the mana into electricity using Electric Release but instead of discharging it, I surround my fist with the deadly circulating cutter currents and use the remaining mana to reinforce the strength of my fist. I lock my eyes with the beast and with a yell leap towards it, punching its chest with my full might. My fists tear through its chest spilling its guts and blood everywhere.

[Critical hit! -500 HP]

[Goose King: -300 / 5000 HP]

[15000 exp gained]

[Lvl up x 10]

[Loot: Legendary Gacha token]

[+20 credits]

[Quest Complete!]

The heads are separated from its body as they land with a slushy thump on the ground. One of the heads next to my foot squiggles like a fish, its eyes glaring at me. I stomp it hard, ending any movement. A menu pops up but I faint before I can read it.

(5 hours later)

I wake up feeling mentally tired. I look around for the goose king's corpse but can't see anything. I can't see any other geese in the vicinity. As I look further ahead I see the green barrier I saw back at the compound. I am guessing since I cleared the quest, the park is now a safe zone or part of my dominion. I suddenly realize it's dark and when I look up I see a starry night sky with the aurora borealis. Beautiful. However I did not know that it could be night in the [Hub]. I thought it would always be bright and sunny here.

[You could change it however you want in the Hub menu options. Do you want to do so?]

No thanks. I like the night. It provides the best environment for relaxing. I look at the multiple alerts in the side panel. Since I'm too mentally tired to make any sort of major decision I will look at it after I freshen up and relax. I speed through the park as the cool night breeze hits my face, making my way back to the mansion.

I finally reach the entrance of the mansion and stop and marvel at how it looks with all the lights turned on at night. The green lawn has a nice orange glow on it and the lamps beside the driveway elegantly illuminate the cobble driveway leading to the huge garage. I didn't mention this before but the garage works the same way as the dock except instead of marinecraft its automobiles. For now I just have a Kawasaki KX450 dirt bike in the garage but at the rate at which I am earning credits it won't be long before I get the bigger boys. Oh and the best part is any vehicle- automobiles, aircraft and marinecraft come with unlimited fuel. Conservation of energy my ass.

I enter the manor through the huge brown oak door, dump my blood-stained clothes into the fully automated laundry room and enter the bathroom. Or the more correct word would be the 'jacuzzi' room. The bathroom has a larg meter jacuzzi each with multiple cushioned seats inside them, with multiple unlimited drinks mini-fridges surrounding it. It has 3 toilets and sinks and a 5 by 5 meter shower-room with 5 showerheads.

….

Why is this designed to be used by multiple people?

[You enabled the Adult Content System so the system prepared the house to be fit for multiple people]

…..

…..

…..

Eh, I am not going to go "oI? iM nOt a pERverT!" like the Japanese MCs do. I will just enjoy this life to the fullest.

I dip myself in the jacuzzi, grab a coke from the fridge and look at the window facing the ocean. I surrender the tension of all my muscles to the warmth of the water as I enjoy the scenic night view of the blue ocean illuminated by the bright starry blue-orangish sky. How much would I have to pay for such an experience back 'home'? No. No. Fuck back home. I am going to stay positive and not let my past life bother me. I let the scenic view and hot water calm my nerves. I lay there staring at the ocean for a good few minutes while sipping my coke. A smile forms in my lips. This is the ultimate slacker peaceful life.

Today has been a crazy day- a roller coaster of emotions for me. I found out I failed my exam and would have to pay a thousand bucks to retake the course. Then I get hit by an asshole. Or maybe I should call him/her my savior- it's because of him/her that I am where I am now. Then I discover I get the motherf**ing god slaying gamer system. I then slay geese and fight to death with a crazy overpowered mutated goose that could wreck havoc to an entire city.

….

Wait, my body feels different. I touch my abdomens but feel a fully toned six pack instead of a skinny belly. Then I looked at my arms. They were muscular. I changed from skinny to a swimmer's body just by clearing one dungeon? I should probably take a look at the menus that popped up before I fainted. But first, "Status", I mentally think. I haven't checked this since I was Level 2.

Looks like all my attributes are in the 100s now. Now I can confidently take on anything on the level of the Goose King without resorting to cheeky tactics. Let me take a look at how my skills are doing. "Skills".

Skills:

[Electrokinesis] - LVL 9/100 [80/100]

Gain 5 INT and WIS every level

[Electric Manipulation] (Active) - LVL 15/infinite [30/100]

Control or disrupt the flow of electricity within a range

1 MP per 15 watts controlled/disrupted, within a 33m range.

Watts controlled per MP, increases by 1 every level.

Range increases by 2 m every level

[Electric Release] (Active) - LVL 12/infinite [90/100]

Release an electric current, depending on the amount of mana imputed into the skill.

12 kW per 1 MP released.

Range: DEX * 1 meter

Kilowatts released per MP, increases by 1 every level.

Shadow Clone Jutsu

Creates a detailed clone of the user, down to psychological details.

No initial cost but the user's mana is divided by half for every clone created.

Only memories are transferred when the clone dispels.

Any physical improvement is lost when dispelled.

Transformation Jutsu

Convert the users appearance to anything imaginable

Cost: 10 MP

Pretty impressive. Even when I max out the [Electrokinesis] class, [Electric Manipulation] will be important due to the flexibility of the skill. The usefulness of [Shadow Clones] were pretty evident in the dungeon.

Now I need to look at the 2 menus that popped up.

Another 50k dollars? I am getting rich. With now 200 credits, I have made 200k dollars in just one day. Fuck working in FAANG. Slaying beasts is the gold mine. Didn't I also get a Legendary Gacha Token from beating the Goose King. I open my inventory and see the Gacha Token in it. I mentally select it.

[Do you want to spin the Legendary Gacha Token? Y/N]

I select yes, and a wheel with multiple icons appears in front of me along with a button. The wheel starts to spin and I randomly press the button. The icons are too blurry for me to try and time the stop. The wheel slows down and stops on an icon with a black fist emitting a red energy.

[Congratulations. You have won the item: Skill "Haki".]

Skills Added:

[Observation Haki] (Passive)

Allows the user to sense the presence of others, even if they are concealed from view or too far to see naturally

Only effective on beings with less than 2 time the DEX of user

[Armament Haki]

Allows the user to use their own spiritual energy to create an invisible strong protection armor around themself.

Provides incredible offensive and defensive capabilities

Amount of Spiritual energy is determined by the WIS of the user.

[Conqueror's Haki]

Allows the user to exert their own willpower over others.

Only beings with less CHA than the user will be affected.

Yup, gachas are overpowered. Haki takes years to master and I just get it with a token. Gamers rule. I can't wait to try it out when the opportunity presents itself.

I look at the last alert informing me of a new World Jump available. I open the [Worlds] menu and look at all the choices.

[Worlds]

[Hub] (Current)

Worlds unlocked: None

Worlds available:

[One Piece]

[Naruto]

[Black Clover]

[Highschool of the Dead]

[Highschool DXD]

Okay game, I have a question. Will I get new choices once I unlock a world?

[No, only after unlocking all the 5 worlds above, will you get a set of another five new choices]

That means I can't reject any of the worlds above. Fortunately the options above aren't the worst. For now I need to choose a world which doesn't have or has the least amount of people stronger than me until I reach an high level. So Naruto, One Piece, DXD and Black Clover are out of the equation which only leaves Highschool of the Dead.

As I was contemplating the best option, an idea hit me. The [Store] is one of the most overpowered aspects of the gamers ability. You can buy literally anything in the entire multiverse with enough credits. And what do you need to buy credits? Yeah you could grind monsters for credits, but you can also buy it from the [Store] with real life money. And what happens to money in an apocalypse like the one in Highschool of the Dead? It becomes worthless to everyone. Except me, because I have the [Store] which can get me anything including skills, powers and food. It also has items that increase attribute points, which means I can skip a lot of training with just money aka credits. Also I want a yacht, nuclear submarine, fancy cars in the Hub world so I will need it for that.

Actually, why don't I dream bigger? Instead of robbing a few measly banks, why don't I use my shadow clones to rob every bank in the Highschool of the dead world? I will first go to as many regional banks in Japan- assuming I first spawn there, and work my way to the big international banks from there. Assuming the finances of the HOTD world is similar to my original world, there should be around $50 trillion stored in banks, if memory serves me correct. I could trade the 50 trillion dollars with the [Store] for 50 billion game credits(1 credit = 1000USD). That should be more than enough for overpowered skills and a few upgrades in my hub world. To give a value of how much that is, 100 credits can get you a brand new Tesla Roadster (The Store sells certain items for a cheaper price).

I am now 100% sure that I will be going with HOTD as my first world. I don't really like the anime plot/tiddies or the cast- they are just a bunch of immature highschool students, and will avoid them in favor of the money/credits that make it worth it. Also there isn't anyone who would be a major threat to me. Sure it's a depressing zombie world but who said I need to live there? I will just rob money as my 'job' and dip back into my Hub world to relax, repeating this cycle until I complete the world quest- whatever that is, and rob every bank in said world.

However I won't be going now. I want a good night's rest as I am still not used to not having to sleep and then unlock the HOTD world. I get up from the jacuzzi, dry myself with a towel, grab a set of pajamas lying in the wardrobe and head off to the master bedroom. Like the bathroom, the master bedroom also has the spectacular view of the night sea except it's on the third floor. The bedroom is the size of four classrooms with a bed occupying three fourths of the bedroom.

"I am guessing the size of the bed and room also has to do with the 'Adult Content System'?".

[Affirmative]

I love you Game. You're the best girl.

[+2 Affection with the Game [10/100]]

I jump into the humongous bed that can easily fit 20 people. It was the comfiest bed I have ever slept on. As I lie down, I contemplate everything that happened today and my future plans. I can't wait to begin exploring the multiverse. I now have the opportunity to explore worlds that lie in the realm of imagination. My mind eventually lets go of any thoughts as I drift off to sleep with a smile on my face.
