Hello all, I'm Auror Maitre. If you're wondering why it sounds like a diary or other form of written story, no worries. After all it'll end up you won't remember this seeming so. Anyway, to begin with I used to live on Earth. A little town called Wauwatosa in Wisconsin. Was having a normal day, going to work, chatting with friends, playing games, and relaxing. Sike, actually the day was anything but normal.

To begin with I had woken up a bit later than planned and had to rush to work due to my alarm not waking me till about half hour after it was set for. Got to work just in time and suddenly there was an earthquake. No one got hurt but dang, there were a lot of close calls all around. This of course led to no work for the day at least and all of us wondering if the news has anything about it.

They did, and it seemed to be a worldwide phenomenon accompanied by an aurora in the sky. Otherwise, the day seemed rather normal. Though all natural phenomena that had been detrimental to life suddenly stopped and cleared up. In fact, it seemed that everything had subtly changed. Like, when you're familiar with how things used to work but suddenly that way seems foreign. That's what happened, we suddenly felt that using gasoline or other fuels that were non-renewable was strange.

Unbeknownst to us the Earth and time went through a shift. Magic, Mana, Energy of Heaven and Earth, call it what you will, became standard. All technology ran using that energy as the basis. Summoning was also a common occurrence. Though it seemed like no time had progressed from one being summoned to one being back where they were again. However, it seemed only a select few would remember what actually occurred in the other realm or world they had been at.

Thus, the air quality and such were overall leagues better than before, and of course the time before now seemed mostly like a bad dream. Granted wars and things still occurred but less frequently and usually as a "game" to settle a dispute. These wars also could only occur in certain areas where casualties became non-existent.

Of course, there was still crime, violence and other very undesirable things occurring. They usually occur less often, and it was much harder to pull off. Why? Nobody was able to understand it, just attributed it to a kind of conscious shift that occurred.

Now back to that first day. I simply hopped into my hover vehicle and went home. After I had arrived and changed into a nice outfit of causal black slacks, a nice deep almost forest green shirt and a nice jacket that was a nicely done white and black. Fixed my shoulder length auburn hair, changed my earrings to a black pair that looked like a stone with a small dangling feather. After all that I check my reflection, seeing my somewhat piercing green eyes (only due to the colors I'm wearing, they tend towards a blue-green color like aquamarine when not wearing blue or green to highlight that color in them) and nod. Looks wise I'm a normal handsome human individual. Then I headed towards the door to head out to a fun little VR arcade.

I make it out the door and have locked it before a strange glow under my feet draws my eyes downwards. I recognize it as some kind of magical phenomenon I've read about in books and manga. It's a summoning circle, and before I can blink. I'm now in a new place. I don't recognize the architecture at all. It's a unique blend of natural cavern stone, wood, and metal. All of it seamlessly put together.

Next, I notice the people, they look at me with shock. I see various races that I don't recognize as well as humans, elves, and slightly shorter and stockier humans (think on average 5' to 5' 5"). They are still looking at me strangely. Before anyone is able to say anything two things occur. First, I suddenly shrink from my normal 5' 8" height and am suddenly about 2' 3". Secondly, I hear a voice in my head.
