Chapter 6 - Chapter 4: Not just a princess but a willful one

Now that he looked at them closely they all had pointed ears and the young silver blonde was apparently their princess.

"You said heir to the throne didn't you? Shouldn't that go to your older siblings?"

The moment those words left his mouth the princess' face tightened and he got the feeling he had touched on a sore topic.

"Apologies princess, I seem to have overstepped my boundaries."

He bowed apologetically. The princess' face dissolved to its earlier merry side.

"Its okay it's a thing of the past after all."

She shrugged and focused at her retainers.

"I apologise for leaving the village without warning you but it was urgent____ also this man did not do any harm for me but rather he is the reason I left the village. The whole purpose was to find him, he is a special guest of mine no harm shall come to him."

Unlike her previous jovial character she was now filled with dignity and brimming with ferocity and magnanimity of a royal princess.

"Understood my lady but should such an emergency arise please notify me first, as the princess it is unwise to tread these forests alone and even more so in these dark times."

The old elven warrior bowed down in acknowledgement of the order and so did the others but he expressed his displeasure towards the princess' actions like any good retainer should.

"My apologies Sir Geswald this unseemly behaviour shall not be done again."

She apologized too and bowed.

"I apologize for our poor conduct earlier Prince erhhh."

He turned to the princess for help.

"He is prince Karlmine Regulus first born and true heir to the Regulus household."

"__"

Even someone like him who was like an emotionless vessel could sense that suddenly the atmosphere around him became tense, the elves turned to him with glares drenched with fear and loathing.

"B-But my lady___"

The Head warrior seemed to have something to say against the princess but she rebuked him with a firmer tone.

"He is my guest and will be joining us in the fort."

He could have worried about all that but he did not get the time an intense headache like no other struck him and he blanked out.
