"HUH! IMPOSSIBLE!"
In a huge room with a big table that was used for meetings, a middle aged elf shouted at the top of his voice, he had the luxury to do that because the entire room was enchanted to be sound proof which exactly why the princess used it as a war council.
"Calm down Lord Cecil I am sure the princess has a very good reason for doing this and she will explain to us right My Lady?"
Lord Geswald the lead warrior spoke calmly, he was the most powerful warrior and an old man well respected by others even back in the white kingdom the King would hearken to his advice.
The exaggerated reaction of the elf named Cecil was due to the princess' earlier announcements. Naturally to cause a respected noble elf to react like that they had to be preposterous and indeed they were.
"Princess, I hear you brought a mortal to our military camp is that true? If it is true I would like to know why you would risk endangering our camp and compromising our defenses."
Cecil had asked a few minutes earlier and the response was.
"Indeed I brought a mortal into our midst but this one is special he is not just any mortal."
"What do you mean?"
"He is the first heir of the noble blood family of House Regulus Lord Karlmine Regulus."
"The Sword Beast of Regulia? Wasn't he convicted of treachery eight years ago and executed?"
That was only natural, in the few skirmishes with the humans the elves at one time suffered a heavy loss at the hands of the human army and the one leading that army was a human wielding no mystic arts but fought like a demon, the best of their fighters were felled one after another until the ground was littered with bodies and blood. In all honesty the elves had been winning the battle but everything changed when that one human entered the battlefield thus turning the tides in one violent killing spree. This young man's name was Karlmine Regulus.
"That, Lord Cecil is absolutely true because he is someone who was supposedly dead but I received a vision about him which is why I left the camp. In our war against the ogres I plan to use him. This is our chance to destroy the enemy."
She explained all this in a calm but fervent manner, his playful and mischievous character was no where to be seen.
"And what I pray tell princess makes you think he will willingly follow you and aid you in this plan of yours?"
Geswald asked somberly.
"Because he is an amnesiac as you have seen but that is only part of the reason the other part is____"
She explained to the others and that is exactly why Lord Cecil reacted like that.
"Princess, even for you this is absurd actually you of all people should want this fellow dead."
"I understand Lord Cecil but this is no time for selfish feelings we must look at the bigger picture, we are faring poorly and this stalemate against the ogre is beginning to crumble. We did receive reinforcements from the Lord of Vara and Lord Xavier and his sister Lady Beldandy led a battalion of two hundred soldiers but this is not enough for us to fully defeat our enemies as I am sure you know that."
