Chapter 7 - Na-Yeon ?

Hours had passed, and dusk crawled across the darkening sky. Kim Min-Ho waved at the fading daylight with his awakened lips.

"In the world of movies, the presence of zombies becomes dominant as night approaches, heading towards the remaining light," whispered Kim Min-Ho.

"Aunt, please don't turn on the lights at night. Let the candlelight fill the room," Kim Min-Ho whispered.

"Okay," Na-Yeon agreed.

"Has the water been boiling for the past ten minutes?" Kim Min-Ho inquired.

"Yes," Na-Yeon nodded.

"Good. As a precautionary measure, let's stir the water that has been boiling for ten minutes. Let's immerse ourselves in the warmth that can protect us," Kim Min-Ho said, heading towards the bathroom. However, Hwan Mi-Yong, who saw Kim Min-Ho moving towards the bathroom, whispered in solitude.

After a while, Kim Min-Ho finished bathing and changed clothes in his room. He sat on the bed, enthusiastically staring at his phone screen.

"A variety of items are displayed on this screen," Kim Min-Ho whispered, captivated by a tank with a skyrocketing price of a thousand coins. Nevertheless, he only had 395 coins left in this digital world.

"I will diligently collect coins and only exchange them for meaningful purposes," Kim Min-Ho said, glancing at his personal phone that had been turned off.

"My habit never changes, leaving the phone lying dead while charging," Kim Min-Ho turned on his device, and dozens of missed calls from his parents and several incoming messages were displayed.

"Kim Min-Ho, why can't we reach you? And how did you find out that zombies are roaming our world now? Don't worry about us, Mom and Dad. We are both taking shelter at the army base. Your well-being is our top concern," Kim Min-Ho read the message.

Kim Min-Ho smiled and swiftly swiped a reply.

"I'm still in a safe zone, Mom. I've prepared enough food for both of us for the coming month. Mom and Dad, don't worry about me," Kim Min-Ho sent the message.

"Knock, knock." Startled by his phone, Kim Min-Ho shook off his thoughts and rose from the bed. He cautiously walked towards the door. When he opened it, Hwan Mi-Yong stood before him, wearing a refreshing white t-shirt and shorts that revealed her smooth thighs.

"What's the matter?" Kim Min-Ho felt confused.

"I want to repay the favor you've given me. You saved my life," Hwan Mi-Yong said, with a hint of embarrassment on her face. Kim Min-Ho's mind raced, and he answered wisely.

"How do you want to repay that debt?" Hwan Mi-Yong blushed upon hearing Kim Min-Ho's response.

"You know, I will never be a heartless man. I won't force a woman who isn't interested in me to get involved with me, especially as repayment or reward," Kim Min-Ho spoke wisely.

"Huh," Hwan Mi-Yong was surprised by Kim Min-Ho's words.

"Now, please return to your room and rest," he requested.

"I realize he is an honorable man, saving someone's life despite knowing the risks. However, I never thought he could control his misguided desires," Hwan Mi-Yong murmured, gazing emptily into her thoughts.

In the darkness that embraced their home, the moonlight emerged, radiating with its magical shimmer. In the quietude of the moment, a dialogue unfolded, filled with caution and tenderness.

"Hwan Mi-Yong, I am consumed by anxiety about sleeping alone. May I find comfort in sharing your slumber?" Kim Min-Ho whispered softly, while Hwan Mi-Yong's cheeks were adorned with a shy sparkle.

"But let Na-Yeon be the one to accompany you," Kim Min-Ho exclaimed, looking at Hwan Mi-Yong who remained silent, lost in concealed hesitation.

"Very well, if that is your decision, allow me to retire to my chamber," Kim Min-Ho said, exhaling a long breath, laden with emptiness.

Hwan Mi-Yong smiled with gratitude and began to surrender herself to the embrace of the soft bed.

"Ah, how dramatically her demeanor has changed. Truly, women are mysteries, full of surprises. Yet, fundamentally, they are not entirely wicked," Kim Min-Ho whispered, gazing at Hwan Mi-Yong's fair and smooth thighs.

However, Kim Min-Ho shook his head firmly and said, "It seems that choice is no longer within my grasp." He walked toward the bed, consumed with emotion, gently caressing Hwan Mi-Yong's thigh. Hwan Mi-Yong's body trembled uncontrollably at the touch of Kim Min-Ho.

"It's not too late for you to escape," Kim Min-Ho whispered in Hwan Mi-Yong's ear, attempting to capture the hidden reaction within her heart. Yet, without uttering a word, Kim Min-Ho smiled and left the room with resolute steps.

Hwan Mi-Yong, pretending to indulge in sweet dreams, observed Kim Min-Ho's departure. "He won't do such a thing to me," Hwan Mi-Yong murmured in her heart.

"If he does, I won't be angry. However, if that were the case, tomorrow morning, I would leave him. But because destiny favors a different path, I will remain by his side. This man is kind-hearted and meets my criteria," Hwan Mi-Yong smiled tranquilly.

Leaving the bedroom, Kim Min-Ho sat on the sofa. "She truly is a mad woman," he whispered, looking at something that strained against his pants.

"I am also an ordinary man, prone to being captivated by a woman's beauty. If she continues to tempt me, I don't know what will happen," Kim Min-Ho mumbled, sighing.

His steps carried him toward the door, peering through the window crack. His eyes caught sight of several zombies, slowly walking in front of his house.

"As I suspected, they become more active at night," Kim Min-Ho lamented, sighing.

"Hey, isn't that Park Dong-Su next to my house? Unexpectedly, he has also turned into a zombie," Kim Min-Ho observed a bald man who moved like an undead.

Kim Min-Ho's thoughts spun, and he quickly shut the window. "I won't take the risk of killing zombies at night. My vision is limited in the darkness, even with the streetlights still on," he said, shaking his head.

"Hmm," he uttered when something touched his foot.

"Goodness, an ant!" Kim Min-Ho instantly crushed the insect as if time meant nothing.

"There must be plenty of ants in this house," he shivered, looking at an ant the size of his thumb.

"What matters now is rest. Tomorrow, I will decide to cleanse the zombies that inhabit my property," Kim Min-Ho muttered, then laid his body on the sofa and closed his eyes.

However, not long after, Kim Min-Ho was awakened by a piercing scream.

"What's happening?" Kim Min-Ho shouted, gripping his sword, and hurried towards his room. There, he saw Hwan Mi-Yong emerging from her chamber.

"Who shouted, Was it you?" said Kim Min-Ho, flashing a smile, his worried eyes fixed on Hwan Mi-Yong.
