Chapter 10 - New Day (2)

"He didn't even ask if we agreed or not," Dong-Su grumbled with a pout, and he followed Min-Ho with Ki Seong-Jin and Kang Chul-Soo trailing behind.

Not long after, Kim Min-Ho, Dong-Su, Ki Seong-Jin, and Kang Chul-Soo were in the backyard of Kim Min-Ho's house.

"Let's begin digging," Min-Ho whispered, his voice sounding like a captivating chant, enticing them to take action. With unwavering determination, Min-Ho swung his pickaxe and pierced the ground, assisted by Dong-Su, Ki Seong-Jin, and Kang Chul-Soo, who were full of enthusiasm.

An hour passed, and Min-Ho finally finished burying Na-Yeon.

"Thank you for your help, all three of you," Min-Ho said, wiping the sweat flowing down his forehead.

"No problem, Kak," Ki Seong-Jin replied, gently wiping the sweat off his face.

"Alright, now let's return to my house," Dong-Su said.

"I'll come to your house later to check on Ye-Hee's condition," Min-Ho replied. Dong-Su nodded, and the four of them walked away from the place.

"Let me rest for a moment, and then I will exterminate the zombies around my residence," Min-Ho took a deep breath, then walked towards his house.

A few minutes later, Kim Min-Ho began his journey around his residential complex.

"Just two minutes into my rounds, and I've already encountered several zombies," Min-Ho stared at the ten zombie figures running towards him, preparing himself for the imminent battle.

"I hold a weapon, while they are just zombies. I shouldn't be forever afraid of them because in this world, there are greater dangers than just zombies," Min-Ho whispered with burning conviction in his heart.

Min-Ho remembered Na-Yeon's death from the ant attack the previous night. That incident further solidified his resolve to confront the zombies.

"Come on, you damn zombies!" Min-Ho shouted thunderously and ran, beheading the first zombie.

"Crash!"

"Bukk!" The zombie's head fell heavily to the ground.

"Slasshh!"

"Slasshh!" Min-Ho kept running and skillfully beheaded the zombies.

"But this isn't over yet," Min-Ho took a deep breath, then ran towards the approaching horde of zombies.

"Slasshh!" Min-Ho cut off a zombie's arm.

"Woar!" Seeing zombies still attacking him, Min-Ho swiftly beheaded them.

"I must stay alert," Min-Ho muttered with a tickling sense of worry in his heart, then ran away from the crowd of zombies.

Thirty minutes later, Kim Min-Ho stood atop a pile of zombie corpses.

"I don't know how many zombies I've eliminated," Min-Ho whispered while exhaling a tired breath, his eyes widened as he looked at his special cell phone. Min-Ho realized that he had received numerous messages.

"All these messages are calls to kill the zombies. Well, let's see my status," Min-Ho whispered as he checked his status on the special cell phone in his hand.

Name: Kim Min-Ho

Age: 23 years old

Level: 4 (next level 10/40 exp)

Strength: 6

Agility: 6

Bravery: 5

Stamina: 2/6

Reflexes: 5

Points: 4

"I've leveled up," Kim Min-Ho whispered, smiling at the height of his level. "I'll add one point to strength, one point to bravery, one point to stamina, and one point to reflexes. Reflexes are crucial in a fight." Without warning, Kim Min-Ho suddenly screamed, "Ahhh!"

"Even though it was only for a moment, being struck by an electric shock was excruciatingly painful." Kim Min-Ho frowned as he observed the exclusive device he held in his hand. "It doesn't matter if I'm shocked, what matters is the surge of power I feel." Kim Min-Ho's steps became buoyant.

"I should head home first. After annihilating zombies, my stomach is growling with hunger." Kim Min-Ho clasped his stomach and walked towards his house. It didn't take long for Kim Min-Ho to arrive at his residence and settle in the living room.

Kim Min-Ho stared at his exclusive device, then opened the store application. As his eyes wandered over the variety of dishes in the store app, Kim Min-Ho mumbled, "A single serving of pizza costs 10 metal coins, which is more expensive than a grenade, while a kilogram of raw beef is only worth one metal coin. It's an odd discrepancy."

Glancing at his possession of 1080 metal coins, Kim Min-Ho recited, "Only 10 metal coins, there's no harm in trying it." Kim Min-Ho pressed the "Buy" button, and the device emitted a burst of white light. Just a few seconds later, a pizza box appeared in front of Kim Min-Ho.

"If it doesn't taste good, I'll regret it." Kim Min-Ho opened the box and his eyes widened at the sight of the pizza inside. "It has an appetizing aroma." Kim Min-Ho savored a slice of pizza. "Delicious," exclaimed Kim Min-Ho as he relished the pizza.

After a few minutes, Kim Min-Ho grimaced, holding his stomach. "It wasn't in vain that I found a pizza worth 10 metal coins. The pizza sold on this exclusive device is on par with premium pizzas in the world." Kim Min-Ho approached the pizza box and said, "I'll dispose of this box in the trash. Who knows, ants might come back."

Kim Min-Ho recalled the incident from the previous night and discarded the pizza box in the bin in front of his house. Kim Min-Ho looked at Park Dong-Su's house and mused, "I'll visit Hung Ye-Hee." Kim Min-Ho locked his house and proceeded towards Park Dong-Su's residence.

Before knocking on the door, Kim Min-Ho caught sight of the slightly ajar entrance. Kim Min-Ho gazed at Ye Eun-Seo, who was opening the door. "Please come in, Oppa," whispered Ye Eun-Seo. "Alright," replied Kim Min-Ho as he stepped inside the house.

"Has Hung Ye-Hee recovered?" Kim Min-Ho asked. "See for yourself, Oppa," Ye Eun-Seo replied with a forced smile. Something felt peculiar in Kim Min-Ho's heart as he walked towards Hung Ye-Hee's room. "Ahh, Kim Min-Ho!" Startled, Kim Min-Ho witnessed Hung Ye-Hee standing in perfect health and approached her.

"Wait, weren't you sick, Hung Ye-Hee?" Kim Min-Ho looked at Hung Ye-Hee, who appeared completely fine.

"Hehe, I feel perfectly fine. In fact, I feel faster," Hung Ye-Hee said while laughing.

"What do you mean?" Kim Min-Ho asked, bewildered.

"See it for yourself," Hung Ye-Hee said with a smile and suddenly appeared beside Kim Min-Ho.

"Very fast!" Kim Min-Ho broke into a sweat as he saw Hung Ye-Hee suddenly appear by his side.

"Haha, even Oppa Kim Min-Ho is sweating," whispered Hung Ye-Hee, laughing at Kim Min-Ho's perspiration.
