Kim Min-Ho noticed Park Dong-Su and the presence of everyone else. "You must be amazed by Hung Ye-Hee's transformation," Kim Min-Ho exclaimed loudly. Park Dong-Su smiled and approached Kim Min-Ho.
"Who wouldn't be surprised by Hung Ye-Hee's lightning-fast change, like a superhero?" Park Dong-Su replied, a grin adorning his lips.
"Hehe, now I'm an evolved human, hyung-nim," Hung Ye-Hee laughed joyfully.
"Evolved human?" Kim Min-Ho felt confused, as if lost in thoughts.
"I read online that many people suddenly fell ill. Within just one hour, they woke up with amazing abilities, just like superheroes. They could run as fast as lightning and lift cars with one hand. Those who woke up and suddenly had abilities like those heroes are called evolved humans," Park Dong-Su explained.
Kim Min-Ho was astonished by Park Dong-Su's explanation, and his gaze then turned to Hung Ye-Hee. "You're really lucky, flawless in every way. I'm leaving," Kim Min-Ho said as he walked away.
"Hyung-nim, why won't you sit and talk with us?" Hung Ye-Hee called out, hoping Kim Min-Ho would change his mind. However, Kim Min-Ho just waved his hand and continued walking away.
Shortly after, Kim Min-Ho arrived at his home and slammed the wall in disappointment. "Bam!"
"Why did a weak girl like her evolve? Why not me, a man?" Kim Min-Ho mumbled, clutching his hand tightly, and he let out a heavy sigh.
"I have a special phone, so envy won't be of any use. But Kim Min-Ho's speed is truly extraordinary."
Kim Min-Ho remembered how Hung Ye-Hee could appear by his side in less than 2 seconds, within a 5-meter distance. "How fast do I have to be to match Hung Ye-Hee's speed?" Kim Min-Ho whispered to himself, then he settled down on the sofa.
Kim Min-Ho held his personal phone, glancing at some messages from his parents. With a smile, he replied to those messages. "I'm fine. Mom and Dad don't need to worry." Then, Kim Min-Ho browsed the latest news on the internet.
"An evolved man is able to lift a car with one hand and throw it at the zombies." Kim Min-Ho read the news, his smile fading. "If I have to fight against evolved humans, I won't last long."
Kim Min-Ho also stumbled upon an interesting piece of news. "If bitten by a zombie, within 1 minute, you will turn into a zombie."
"Just one minute, it's really short," Kim Min-Ho pondered for a moment, then heard a knock on his door.
"Knock, knock."
Kim Min-Ho grabbed his sword and approached the door. In front of him stood Hwan Mi-Yong, knocking timidly.
"What's going on?" Kim Min-Ho asked as he slowly opened the door.
"Can you escort me home?" Hwan Mi-Yong said with uncontrollable shyness.
"It's too dangerous to go far. Why do you want to go home?" Kim Min-Ho asked, puzzled.
"Do I have to tell you the reason behind my desire to go home?" Hwan Mi-Yong muttered, blushing.
"Of course, because you asked for my help," Kim Min-Ho replied firmly.
"I want to change my underwear," Hwan Mi-Yong said, her face turning red with embarrassment.
"Why didn't you change your clothes first? Tomorrow, I will escort you home," Kim Min-Ho said.
"Ah, really? Are you promising to escort me home?" Hwan Mi-Yong's face beamed with joy.
"I promise, but you have to be mentally prepared if something bad happens," Kim Min-Ho said seriously.
"I understand, I'm ready," Hwan Mi-Yong nodded. Kim Min-Ho ignored Hwan Mi-Yong and allowed her to enter the house.
"Do you know, I'm sure you're envious of Hung Ye-Hee," Hwan Mi-Yong said when she saw Kim Min-Ho.
"I'm not envious," Kim Min-Ho lied.
"Don't pretend. In reality, you left immediately upon hearing that Hung Ye-Hee evolved," Hwan Mi-Yong interjected.
"Can you just be quiet?" Kim Min-Ho started to get annoyed with Hwan Mi-Yong.
"Don't get angry so easily. Is your blonde hair natural?" Hwan Mi-Yong asked. Kim Min-Ho ignored Hwan Mi-Yong and entered his room. Hwan Mi-Yong felt ignored, but destiny still displayed a smile on her face.
"He must be upset because the weak girl he saved yesterday evolved while he didn't," Hwan Mi-Yong mumbled with a heavy breath.
Several hours passed, and Kim Min-Ho sat in the living room as the sky darkened. "Do you like being alone like this?" Hwan Mi-Yong asked, sitting in front of him. "Can you please be quiet?" Kim Min-Ho stared sharply at Hwan Mi-Yong. "Sorry," Hwan Mi-Yong replied with a sheepish smile.
Seeing Hwan Mi-Yong quiet, Kim Min-Ho took his sword and said, "Hopefully, when we go tomorrow, we won't only encounter zombies and mutant animals, but won't have to fight evolved criminals either." Hwan Mi-Yong was surprised by Kim Min-Ho's words, then burst into laughter.
"Hehe, don't try to scare me, Kim Min-Ho."
"I don't intend to scare you," Kim Min-Ho replied as he entered his room. Hwan Mi-Yong followed him with small steps.
"Why are you following me?" Kim Min-Ho asked, confused.
"Well, like I said yesterday. Can I sleep here with you?" Hwan Mi-Yong blushed with embarrassment.
"Oh, you're truly a brave girl. Aren't you afraid I might do something inappropriate?" Kim Min-Ho said as he approached Hwan Mi-Yong and kissed her wet hair.
Seeing that Hwan Mi-Yong wasn't angry with his actions, Kim Min-Ho asked, "Am I that attractive to you?"
"You're quite attractive. I've already told you. It doesn't matter if you do that," Hwan Mi-Yong replied.
"Huh, I'm not interested in that," Kim Min-Ho snorted, then walked towards the bed.
"Never reveal that you're a homosexual," Hwan Mi-Yong exclaimed, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. Kim Min-Ho felt annoyed and disturbed by being labeled as a homosexual. However, he chose to remain calm, keeping all his inner turmoil that was growing within his mind.
Seeing Kim Min-Ho unwilling to respond, Hwan Mi-Yong whispered to herself, "My suspicion was right; he is indeed a homosexual."
If Kim Min-Ho knew what was stirring in Hwan Mi-Yong's mind, perhaps he wouldn't be able to control himself any longer, leading to unforgivable actions, enslaving Hwan Mi-Yong in anger and impatience.
The next day, Kim Min-Ho woke up and headed to the kitchen, where he found Hwan Mi-Yong busy preparing breakfast.
"Breakfast will be ready soon," Hwan Mi-Yong whispered softly as she saw Kim Min-Ho enter the room.
"Okay," Kim Min-Ho replied. Kim Min-Ho noticed a change in Hwan Mi-Yong's attitude towards him ever since he rejected her advances, as if the woman had concluded that he was a homosexual.
After half an hour had passed, Kim Min-Ho stood in front of his revving motorcycle. "Can we use this motorcycle to go to my place?" Hwan Mi-Yong asked with an astonished expression.
"Of course, don't worry. I'm skilled at riding motorcycles," Kim Min-Ho confidently replied.
"Will my innocence disappear when we go?" Hwan Mi-Yong murmured in her mind.
"Come on, let's ride," Kim Min-Ho whispered, already sitting proudly on his motorcycle.
"Alright," Hwan Mi-Yong jumped on and tightly embraced Kim Min-Ho's body, clutching onto his clothes. Together, Kim Min-Ho and Hwan Mi-Yong embarked on their journey on the motorcycle.
Meanwhile, from behind the window, Hung Ye-Hee watched Kim Min-Ho and Hwan Mi-Yong as they departed on the motorcycle. "Where are they going, Brother Kim Min-Ho and Ms. Hwan Mi-Yong?" Hung Ye-Hee asked, curiosity crossing her mind.
"Kim Min-Ho, there's a group of zombies ahead of us," Hwan Mi-Yong whispered nervously as she saw the horde of zombies approaching.
"I already know," Kim Min-Ho exclaimed, swiftly maneuvering the motorcycle to avoid the zombie horde.
"Ahhh," a fearful cry escaped Hwan Mi-Yong's mouth as she clung tightly to Kim Min-Ho, unable to contain her fear.
After thirty minutes passed, Kim Min-Ho halted their journey at a house. "Get off and quickly enter your house," Kim Min-Ho shouted with a commanding tone.
"Alright," Hwan Mi-Yong, filled with anxiety, swiftly grabbed her keys and rushed inside her house. Meanwhile, Kim Min-Ho took the katana sword hanging from his back and noticed several zombies approaching rapidly.
"At least today, I have to improve my skills," Kim Min-Ho muttered seriously. With determined steps, he unsheathed his sword and charged toward the zombie horde.
"Slasshh"
"Buukk." The zombies' heads severed from their bodies.
"They are merely mindless living dead creatures. If they had a mind, this fight would be much more challenging," Kim Min-Ho said confidently.
"The zombies keep coming, like an endless wave," Kim Min-Ho exclaimed while running back towards Hwan Mi-Yong's house, observing the horde of zombies steadily approaching. Hwan Mi-Yong opened the door to her house and found Kim Min-Ho entering, gasping for breath.
"I never imagined that your house would be infested with zombies, and there are even more than in my area," Kim Min-Ho said, his worried face adorned with a humble smile.
"Perhaps it's because my house is in a residential complex, while yours is close to the highway," Hwan Mi-Yong replied.
"Boom, boom."
"What was that?" Hwan Mi-Yong was startled by the explosion-like sounds. Curious about the source of the noise, Kim Min-Ho looked outside through the window.
"That's strange!" Kim Min-Ho exclaimed in surprise as he saw a black, furry gorilla leaping from one car to another.
"It can't be true; is that a loose gorilla?" Hwan Mi-Yong was also shocked, witnessing the gorilla jumping from car to car.
"It must have undergone mutation. It's at least three meters tall, if not more," Kim Min-Ho tried to explain.
"Yes, that's for sure," Hwan Mi-Yong nodded, trembling. Kim Min-Ho then observed the gorilla grabbing a motorcycle and hurling it towards the zombies.
"It's incredibly strong," Kim Min-Ho felt fear watching the motorcycle being thrown ten meters and colliding with several zombies.
"If the gorilla finds us, it will be very dangerous," Hwan Mi-Yong muttered anxiously while closing the window with a piece of cloth.
"Don't worry, the gorilla won't find us. Do you live alone here?" Kim Min-Ho asked.
"Yes, I live alone. Actually, I'm just renting this house," Hwan Mi-Yong replied.
"Oh, I'll check this house to ensure it's safe or not," Kim Min-Ho said, starting to inspect every corner of the room.
"It seems safe, no zombies inside," Kim Min-Ho said after confirming that the house was secure.
"What about other mutant creatures?" Hwan Mi-Yong asked, full of concern.
"At the moment, I'm still exhausted from fighting the zombie horde earlier. Oh, you have a banana here," Kim Min-Ho said, picking up a banana from the refrigerator. Kim Min-Ho carefully peeled the banana and examined each slice, ensuring there were no dangerous creatures inside.
"Boom, boom." Before Kim Min-Ho could take a bite of the banana, he heard the sound of an explosion getting closer.
"Don't tell me the gorilla is coming here because of this banana," Kim Min-Ho began sweating, and his heart raced.
"Kim Min-Ho, don't make me more scared," Hwan Mi-Yong said, running towards Kim Min-Ho.
"Bruuaakk."
"Aahhh." Hwan Mi-Yong's terrified scream filled the room as the door to her house shattered.
"I'm truly unlucky," Kim Min-Ho muttered with worry as he saw the gorilla destroying the door of Hwan Mi-Yong's house.
"We have to run," Kim Min-Ho shouted, pulling Hwan Mi-Yong's hand as they both escaped through the back door.
"But where will we go? The outside is also filled with zombies," Hwan Mi-Yong panicked.
"It's better to fight the zombies than to face that gorilla," Kim Min-Ho replied with a concerned expression on his face.
