"What are we going to do if that weirdo shows up again?" asked Peppermint as she stood on her hind legs to peer out the window.
"I'm already warding the house against fire," said Ina as she stirred a boiling potion in her cauldron. "And ice. And lightning and acid. There's a barrier too in case he wants to throw trees or drop boulders on us."
"He did have a wild gleam in his eyes." Peppermint took one last precautionary glance outside and brought down her front paws to turn towards Ina.
"He had stars," the Witch whispered. "Some of the streaks around his pupils. They stood out. They looked like stars."
