Kuta then looked at her arms curiously as there was no way that she was using magic at all. She was a form of the Sabre family after all with a direct connection to the very founder of not just this place she called her hometown but also the Weapon User School.
'There is no way I am a mage that's just unheard of as no one founder's direct bloodline has ever been one' Kuta thought to herself.
And so a mage expert was called in to look over Kuta to disprove this nonsense about her being a mage at once. Just like her father stated the faster they nip this crazy notion in the bud the better by their standards. Thus through his connection and dealing he had one was called with the utmost secrecy and privacy and they had their tools and such all ready to go yet...
They however took one look and Kuta then turned to her father looking him dead in the eyes.
"She is a mage," they told him.
"Huh!?" Kuta said
Her father was also just equally shocked by what they just said as well.
"Excuse me could you repeat that," Kuta's father asked
"She is a mage what else could she be," the mage expert said.
Her father then looked at the one who brought the expert here as they just shrugged.
"It is so obvious that this girl is a mage. I am still getting paid the normal fee right as any mage with eyes could tell you are that, young miss" the mage said.
"Though I am shocked that the theory about how over usage of storing mana within the body really does have the effect of tanning one's skin and bleaching their hair white" they added amazed.
"There must be some mistake I can not be a mage I am a member of the Sabre family as you did not even use your tools you just looked at me" Kuta demanded.
"You are supposed to be a sword master despite your young age, correct" the mage asked her.
To this, Kuta nodded in reply.
"Despite my young age I too am a master of magic and mana. There are things that tell because of the level of training you have been through. You have done with swords and somehow adapted mana to mimic Ki. I have done with magic and mana myself as masters there are things we can tell at a glance. However, it is so obvious to you that even a novice mage would mistake for a mage at first glance" they tell her.
Then after being told the full story at least as it was known before they got there
"Huh!? None of you could tell that she was clearly a mage as the signs are so obvious...wait you did get her tested for her potential to use magic when she was younger right possibly" the mage expert asked.
"Why would we do that for generations upon generations the Sabre family never produced anyone that has magic potential. It should not run in our family at all" Kuta's father said.
"Whether it does or not all the proof that a mage needs to see that your daughter is one of us is a pair of eyes. With this girl I am shocked she managed to hide it this long amongst all these weapon users" the mage said 'Maybe they just did not want to admit thus pushing the notion down whenever it came up. Would explain them copping by giving her a title like Spellblade'
"I am a mage....but...but...how!?" Kuta asked confused
"Not my field of expertise to tell how or why. Just what you are and what you are not. Seriously though I am still getting paid my normal fee for this" the mage expert asked.
Kuta lying there as her arms then fell off. A hand was waved in front of her face she did not react as it seemed she had lost consciousness while her eyes were still wide open. Her brain just seemed to shut down thus no one was home at the moment.
"Pay them and the extra is to keep quiet about this," Kuta's father told him.
"Why keep quiet about it as there is nothing wrong with her..." the mage expert said before they were interrupted by the sound of a blade being drawn.
"You will keep quiet about this surely," Kuta's father told them.
The mage expert just merely nodded as they left the Sabre estate entirely.
"Make so they have an accident," her father said as they watched the mage expert walking out off the ground completely.
As for why it was so simple for the mage expert to tell Kuta was a mage from just looking at her. It had to do with what split apart those that were weapon users and those that were made.
Mana was the key to both weapon and magic skills. However, most weapon users used and converted their own internal mana to produce their weapon skills and other things. Thus why they would run out of stamina since they were using their own mana. There was a limit to how much mana anyone had and they could not use it until they ran out even. Weapon users were only able to use a fraction of their mana for weapon skills and other purposes since too much being used would threaten their lives. Everyone needed mana to live and while it does recover relatively quickly that is because the body shuts down to normally prevent dangerous levels of mana from being used for reasons other than staying alive mostly.
However, mages are different in they are not using their own internal mana but taking in the external mana around them and using that to produce magical skills and abilities. They do not have to worry about running out because they are not using their own internal mana in the slightest. They do not know how to use actually. Yet the dangers of taking in too much mana could cause a mana overload.
Thus weapon users can die from using too much of their mana at once while mages can die from merely overloading on mana that they take into themselves. Both use mana in different ways but both share the fact that the missed usage of mana could prevent it from being fatal for them both.
