Chapter 22 - Masked fairy

A ray of light from the chandelier in the room flowed into Asher's eyes, making him slowly open his eyes. His face immediately turned pale, seeing Chronos hanging like a cocoon right before him, without moving an inch. Wait, what's going on? Is Chronos already dead? Where is Persea?

Those questions kept popping up in Asher's mind, piling on top of each other. He had no idea what was going on, but what was clear now was that he had to save himself along with Chronos and get out of this place as quickly as possible.

"Wait, what's going on? Why can't I move my hands." Asher slowly looked up, a confused look on his face. "Damn, since when are my wrists just tied up?" He continued moving his wrists, hoping the rope could be released.

However, everything seemed to be in vain. No matter how hard Asher tried, the rope could not be untied. Damn it. It seemed tied so tightly that he couldn't break free on his own.

"I have to do something, but what?" Asher furrowed his brows, his face tense.

"Ugh, where am I? Ash, what's going on?" Chronos moved his head, a look of confusion on his face.

"Chronos, thank goodness you're alive. I think you're dead." Relief showed on his face. "I don't know either. I also have absolutely no idea where we are, Chronos." He shook his head, furrowing his brow.

"Argh, damn, so what are we going to do now?" Chronos grumbled in frustration.

"Wait, I'll try to climb up and untie this." Asher slowly pulled his body up, his face instantly turning red. "Argh crap, I can't. I just can't even reach the bonds. What about you, Chronos?" he sighed, his red face slowly fading.

"Wait, let me try." Chronos took a breath, trying to gather all his strength.

Slowly Chronos pulled his body up, trying to do the same with Asher. However, the door suddenly opened strangely, revealing two small creatures about the size of Persea, but their wings were smaller than Persea's and they wore masks like bird beaks.

"Hey, what are these silly prisoners doing, trying to escape?" said one of the fat fairies.

"Fools, there's no point in doing that." The skinny fairy burst out laughing.

"Wait, prisoners? What are you talking about, fucking fairy!" Chronos shouted, and his face instantly changed.

Chronos' harsh words had angered these two fairies. Without waiting long, the two fairies flew straight at Chronos and landed a pretty hard punch to his stomach that left Chronos in agony.

" Shit, shit!" Chronos grimaced, trying to withstand the blow he received.

"This is the result of your impolite words to us." The fat fairy laughed mockingly

"Damn, what have you done to Chronos?" Asher furrowed his brow, a feeling of anger slowly rising.

"Hey, I think we've played enough with them. Now, we have to bring these prisoners in front of Queen Rufina." The thin fairy nodded her head, trying to justify her actions.

"Queen Rufina? Who are you referring to? Hey, answer my question!" Asher shouted, making his face redden for a moment.

The two fairies completely ignored Asher's words, and then they seemed to take something out of their hands. It looked like a small syringe, filled with a strange blue liquid. Who knows what kind of liquid it was, but perhaps it was a dangerous liquid.

Asher and Chronos continued to struggle, trying to get out of there before these two crazy fairies did something bad to them. However, everything was in vain. The two fairies immediately injected liquid into their bodies without delay.

" Shit, what's happening to my body." "I... I can't move my body." Asher furrowed his brows, a puzzled look on his face.

"Damn fairy, what are you doing!" Chronos shouted, his neck stiffening.

The two elves didn't answer their questions at all and slowly untied the ropes in Asher and Chronos' hands with ease, carrying their weak bodies like sacks of rice outside. Asher's eyeballs widened instantly, knowing that the fairies were small, but could carry both their bodies with ease.

"Gosh, these fairies are so strong." Asher paused, his face tightening.

On the way to see Queen Rufina, Asher kept seeing several fairies wearing the same mask looking at them. He immediately became very curious about what was behind those fairy masks. It felt like he wanted to take off the masks and see for himself what was behind them. However, that still seemed impossible, as his body was still stiff and unable to move at all.

After walking for a while, they stopped in front of a door. Asher immediately widened his eyes, realizing that the door was much larger than his body. The two fairies then pushed the door with all their might, revealing a dimly lit room full of fairies wearing the same masks as them.

"Queen Rufina, we have brought this prisoner here," said the fat fairy, his voice strained.

"Good. Bring them here," said the red-haired female elf in a firm tone.

"Yes, Queen Rufina." The two fairies said in unison.

Together, they dropped the bodies of Asher and Chronos in front of Queen Rufina, like goods. Damn. Asher could feel his body directly hit the ground quite hard, causing him a momentary pain.

"Welcome to the village of Malana. My name is Rufina, daughter of the chief of this village. What are you doing here?" Rufina's voice was firm and authoritative.

"We're just trying to help our elf elders however we can. The Orc king's weapon slammed into his body. 'Asher bowed his head, a weak look on his face.

"Calm down, we already helped that poor fairy and the blue fairy as well." Rufina nodded slowly.

"Fortunately, Persea and the elders are safe. Now we can't wait to meet them. "Asher sighed, his face still looking tense.

"You can't meet them until you two can prove that you're not bad people. Show me, and you can meet them." Rufina's voice echoed throughout the room.

"Wait, what?" Chronos widened his eyeballs, his face tense.
