Her words instantly made Asher round his eyes. He couldn't believe the fact that Rufina's father had also been kidnapped by the Orc king, just like the villagers of Altaria. But why, why did it happen?
"Rufina, can you tell me in detail what exactly happened?" The fairy elder of Altaria village raised her eyebrows, with a curious expression on her face.
Rufina then explained the incident happened when she and her father's group conducted a routine inspection of the Malana forest. At first, everything was fine and nothing strange happened, just like any other day.
But suddenly the Orc king and his army appeared out of nowhere and started attacking them. A battle ensued, but their strength was clearly no match for the strength of the orc king's army and they immediately suffered defeat.
In a desperate situation, Rufina's father told Rufina to run away. At first, Rufina didn't want to leave her father, but her father insisted. Rufina had to return to Malana village and tell the remaining Malana village fairy about this.
"I haven't heard any news of my father since then." Her tears slowly flowed, and her face slowly turned red. "'If I was stronger, maybe I... I can help my father and bring him safely." She bowed her head, trying to cover her sadness.
"Rufina, it is not the wrong decision. "Persea flew over to her. "You have done the right thing by protecting the fairy of Malana's village, right? So stop feeling sorry for yourself." She immediately hugged Rufina's body, trying to ease Rufina's sadness.
Rufina couldn't stand Persea's words and started crying on Persea's shoulder. Seeing that, Asher's heart suddenly trembled. For some reason, he suddenly remembered his life, when he also had to separate from his father.
"Rufina, calm down, we'll bring your father back. I promise." Persea stroked Rufina's red hair gently.
"Wait, Persea, are you talking nonsense?" Chronos furrowed his brows hearing Persea's word. "We don't know where the Orc king is holding all their prisoners, but how can you say that so easily?" He sighed, depression visible on his face.
"We can't, but I know someone who can help us." Persea snapped her fingers, a look of excitement on her face.
Asher furrowed his brows, a curious look on his face, "Who are you referring to, Persea?"
"The Fire Fairy, Ignea," Persea said, nodding. " He can tell the existence of a person just by touching anything related to that person. But yeah, he's a temperamental fairy and a bit of a pain in the ass." She rolled her eyes, showing a sign of her dislike for Ignea.
"But... but how can we find Ignea?" Rufina slowly wiped away the tears on her face, a puzzled look on her face.
"We elementals have a bond to sense the power of other elemental fairies." Persea closed her eyes, trying to focus. "I can sense her energy, but I think I need my own time to figure out if it's her energy or not," she said with a sigh, a frustrated look on her face.
"Alright, that's fine, Persea. We'll wait." The fairy elder let out a sigh of relief on her face. "I think we've talked enough here. My body still seems to need some rest." The fairy elder then lay down on the bed, trying to rest.
"Okay, I also have to check on the conditions in Malana Village, and make sure everything is fine." Rufina flapped her wings, leaving Asher and the others behind.
"Yes, same. I'll go to try and confirm the energy again." Persea left Asher and Chronos, darting quickly out of the room, going nowhere.
The atmosphere instantly became silent, leaving only Asher and Chronos there. Noticing the situation, Asher decided to leave the room, letting the fairy elders go back to rest as he didn't want to disturb the fairy elders now.
"So, Ash what should we do now?" Chronos sighed. "Argh, waiting is exhausting work." He scratched his head, a frustrated look on his face.
"I don't know, but, how about we go to Malana's village square?" Asher stroked his chin, "Maybe we can find some things we need, Chronos." He snapped his fingers, no doubt visible on his face.
After discussing for a few minutes, they finally agreed to go to Malana's village square. Once there, Asher's eyes immediately bulged. He never expected that the atmosphere in the village square, which was as gloomy as a dead town, but now looked much more alive.
'Hey, Asher look at that. "Chronos tapped Asher on the shoulder, pointing towards a large statue a few meters in front of him. "That statue looks like the figure of something, perhaps it's a statue of the Goddess Amertha?" Curiosity was evident on his face.
"I don't know, I feel that way too. But it's better if we go there and see for ourselves." Asher pulled Chronos' hand, a look of curiosity on his face.
They quickly quickened their pace until they could finally see the statue. It turned out that what Chronos thought was right. The statue was the figure of the goddess Amertha who was seen holding a staff.
"Ash, apparently the goddess Amertha is very beautiful." Chronos looked up. his mouth opened slightly. "See for yourself. Her sky-blue eyes and wavy white hair coupled with the long robe covered her body. Gosh, she looks so graceful." He shook his head, unable to believe the beauty of this statue.
"Yes, you're right Chronos. "Asher smiled at the statue of the goddess Amertha that looked so perfect in his eyes.
As they were admiring the beauty of the goddess Amertha's statue, Asher's eyes suddenly caught sight of something. There was a female player who was with some people who were probably her colleagues. However, there was something strange. The woman looked down and kept looking down. Who knows what was going on with that woman, but something was wrong with her.
"Hey, Ash are you still hearing me?" Chronos snapped his fingers, a look of confusion on his face. "Oh my, what are you looking at?" He narrowed his eyes, looking exactly in the direction Asher was looking.
"Oh, sorry Chronos, I am just looking at that player," Asher said as he scratched his head. "I wonder what happens to her? Do you think she's okay? "Asher stroked his chin slowly, curiosity showing on his face.
"Ash, listen. We better stay out of their problems and focus on searching, okay?" He sighed, trying to calm himself down. "Please, I just don't want to get into any more trouble. Come on, let's go somewhere else." She turned her face away as if she hadn't seen that.
"Uh, okay..." Asher slowly sighed, hoping that his choice to ignore it was the right decision.
