Alex woke up at noon after sleeping for 6 hours. He felt refreshed and ready to go. First he looked at the two knifes in his inventory they were actually high quality daggers. He planned on taking some time learning to wield them. He decided to watch a tutorial online first and then try to practice it. He found a pretty cool looking dagger technique supposably it was a monk from the Himalayan mountains. He wield two daggers and slashed at such a quick speed that even the camera had trouble. The monk was sadly the last of his temple since a earthquake happened and it killed the others. He was older then 100 and just wanted to pass on his temples techniques. He uploaded a whole library of techniques and how to practice them. He just decided to learn the first three moves of the daggers technique supposably it was non-lethal way to use the dagger. It required dull edges and using the blunt side of the handle. Truthfully it was a amazing technique.
He practiced for over two hours before he managed to master just the first part . That was just one of 15 without his skill he would've taken longer. He went and took a shower in the communal bathroom on the first floor. That's actually where he ran into another orphan. Lucky Slivers a small boy who had sliver eyes that gleamed with intelligence. I say little but he was younger then me by at most two years. However he was only 5'2 compared to my 6'3. He was a cute little kid.
"Gee mister you sure are tall for a kid. Do you think I'll ever get that tall. My parents used to tell me to drink more milk but I don't think that helped. Of course that was before they were killed by Insane Lizard. Happened a little of 3 years ago to this day. Owlman himself saved me you know. He swooped down from nowhere and kicked him in the face. Then he grabbed me up and swung me to safety. "
"Telling bogus stories again you freak" a annoyingly high pitch voice said out of nowhere butting into our conversation.
"And who are you?" Alex asks upset over being interrupted while gathering information.
"My name's Theo Welvin and unlike that freak I'm pure human so you better hangout with my group unless you want to be bullied just like him."
Alex then decided to ignore him from then on. However he did ask "Why does he keep calling you a freak anyway?"
"It's because I can hear the truth in people words" Lucky replied shyly.
Alex paused in his tracks and looked at Lucky in surprise. "Are you telling me you can always tell if someone is telling the truth?"
"No no I have to activate my power first and it drains me really really bad that I can barely use it for 2 minutes. Then I usually pass out for and hour. My hair glows blue when I use it though so it's rather useless. Everyone knows when I use it so it's not really a secret either.".
"I don't know I think in the right situation your power is really strong. Like getting information from a super villain or something." Alex replied. "You could be like the best lawyer ever!"
Lucky looked extremely happy with his praise. Of course Theo wouldn't just piss off " No one would want a freak like him working for them. His kind isn't welcome in normal society" Now officially done with this guy. Alex turned around and punched him in the kidney. He instantly collapsed in pain and couldn't move. "Maybe you should learn to keep your mouth shut more now" Alex said as he patted the guys head and walked away. Lucky looked at Theo twice stuck out his tongue then ran to follow Alex.
"So what you going to do now. I know you were sticking up for me but his group has like twelve people in it. It's definitely cool to beat him up but he's probably going to hold a grudge. How bout you join the meta-human orphan group. There's only three of us in the orphanage at the moment but we can hold on own. So what do you say. Wait don't answer yet meet me on the roof around 11 tonight and give me the answer then. " Before Alex could reply Lucky ran off up the stairs of the orphanage.
Alex just shook his head in disbelief. He decided to check out this so called meta-human club. However first he needs to find a job and where better to work in Gamma then Waylon Enterprises. He would try to get a job in the advance technology department. After all he personally created a weapon that made a certain energy on earth useless for years to come. If he wasn't qualified who was right. However how can he get a interview.
Alex realized they probably wouldn't just hire a 14 year old kid. Wait this was the RT universe they would totally hire a 14 year old kid. With that he made his way to the tallest building in Gamma. As he was walking he actually saw a meta-human criminal using Fire power to fight against police officers. He was shooting fire from his hands and blowing up cars. Before Alex could do anything though a guy in Red and green spandex appeared out of nowhere and kicked him in the back.
"Firebird your done for. You might've escaped last time however I won't let you go again." said a immature 10 year old voice. He was wearing the Sparrow suit. Alex was overly excited at finally seeing one of his favorite superhero every that he accidentally said. "Richard Grazsin?" in wonderment.
That caused Richard Grazsin who snuck out with the sparrow suit to look around to see who said his name. Allowing firebird to get back up. "You're not my match wonderboy!" he yelled then he threw a fireball straight into robins chest. Sparrow was then launched backwards like a flat kickball. He made a nasty creaking sound when he landed into the trash cans. Alex stood there in shock. Did he just get sparrow killed?!?? Oh God! Before he could do anything Firefly himself ran over and grabbed robin. Shooting off into the sky yelling " Tell the Owl that I have his boy wonder. If he wants him back he'll meet me at the abandoned Nitroglycerin warehouse!!"
