Chapter 18 - CHAPTER 18

"I won't hurt you." She looked up at him, her eyes searching his face for any sign of deception. But all she saw was a deep, burning passion that she couldn't resist.

She leaned in, and he kissed her, his lips soft and warm against hers. At that moment, she knew that she was his, body and soul.

As I turned the doorknob to my bedroom, my mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Damian Hertz. I couldn't help but shake my head in disbelief as his name echoed through my mind.

As I entered my bedroom, my eyes immediately fell upon a wallet resting on my bed. It was a simple leather wallet, but I couldn't help but wonder who it belonged to.

After a moment of contemplation, I came to the conclusion that it must have been Damian's. I stood in my room, staring at the object in my hand.

My mind was consumed with the urge to toss it out the window, but a part of me couldn't resist the thought of seeing Damian. I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts, but the temptation lingered.

With a heavy heart, I trudged down the dimly lit hallway, clutching his wallet tightly in my hand. As I scanned the doors, my eyes fell upon one that stood out from the rest - a faint glow emanated from within.

My intuition told me that this was his room, and I couldn't help but feel defeated as I approached the door.

She approached the door with a hesitant stride, her hand trembling as she raised it to knock lightly. She feared the sound would be too loud, too jarring, and disturb the man inside. But she had to try. She had to know if he was there.

"What?" As I stood there in the dimly lit hallway, a low, guttural growl echoed through the door at the end of the corridor.

My heart raced as I tried to steady my breathing, wondering what could be lurking on the other side.

The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end as I strained to listen for any other sounds. Was it a wild animal? A vicious intruder? Or something even more sinister? I couldn't be sure, but one thing was certain - I wasn't going to open that door without a plan. She tentatively pushed open the door, her heart racing as she caught sight of Damian standing by the window.

His back was turned to her, and he was shirtless, his muscles rippling as he gazed out at the world beyond.

As he spoke my name, I couldn't help but feel a shiver run down my spine. The way he said it was like music to my ears, each syllable rolling off his tongue with such ease and grace.

I couldn't help but be drawn to him, his voice like a siren's call, beckoning me closer.

"Lily," he repeated, his eyes locked onto mine. It was as if he knew the effect he had on me, the power he held over my heart. I couldn't resist him, not when he said my name like that.

As I walked into the room, I noticed him sitting there, lost in thought. I didn't want to startle him, so I approached him slowly and spoke in a soft voice.

"I didn't mean to disturb you," I said, "but I found something that belongs to you." With that, I raised the object in question, a wallet, up in the air so that he could see it clearly. "It was on my bed," I explained, "and I just wanted to make sure you got it back."

As he made his way towards me, I couldn't help but notice a look of surprise etched on his face. He loomed over me, casting a shadow that seemed to stretch on for miles.

Her heart raced as she waited for the results of the test. She had studied for weeks, pouring over textbooks and notes until her eyes grew tired. Finally, the moment of truth arrived.

The teacher looked up from the paper in front of her and smiled.

"You passed the test," she said.

Relief flooded through her body as she let out a sigh of gratitude. All of her hard work had paid off. He spoke in a hushed tone as if lost in thought.

"What test?" he asked, his confusion evident as I arched an eyebrow in response.

She had a habit of testing people's honesty.

Whenever a new acquaintance visited her, she would leave a decoy wallet filled with cash on their bed and observe if they would take it. But when he came over, he didn't fall for her trap.

As he spoke, his voice grew increasingly agitated, until finally, with a note of disbelief, he explained what had happened. "Oh?" I looked down at my feet and let out a quiet murmur, my shoulders lifting in a nonchalant gesture.

I felt his eyes bore into me, unrelenting and piercing.

He loomed over me, his hand outstretched, but he had yet to take the wallet from my grasp. The air between us was thick with tension, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

I knew I had to give him what he wanted, but something about his demeanor made me hesitate.

I looked at Damian with a calm expression, holding his wallet just above his hand.

"You should be more careful with your money," I said.

"I could've taken it if I wanted." My words hung in the air as Damian's eyes widened in surprise. As he extended his hand, I felt a sudden pang of fear.

I knew what he wanted, and I knew I had no choice but to comply. With a trembling hand, I reached into my pocket and retrieved the wallet.

As I placed it into his outstretched palm, I couldn't help but feel a sense of defeat wash over me. It was a small victory for him, but a crushing blow for me.

He moved closer, his breath tickling my ear as his lips hovered just beside it.

With a sly grin, he leaned in and spoke softly, "Well, that's the point." Then, he turned on his heel and strode confidently to his desk, taking a seat with a sense of purpose.

Lily turned around to face Damian, who was seated at his desk, scribbling away with his pen.

"Goodnight, Damian," she replied softly, a hint of a smile playing on her lips.

She couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth in her heart as she looked at him.

Despite the late hour, he seemed to be completely absorbed in his work, his eyes fixed on the paper in front of him.

Lily couldn't help but admire his dedication and focus.

With a final nod, Damian bid her goodnight once more, and Lily made her way out of the room, feeling content and at peace.

I felt his eyes on me and looked up to meet his gaze. He waited patiently, his expression unreadable.

As I turned to leave, I hastily replied, "Goodnight." My heart was racing, and I could feel the hairs on my arm standing on end from the proximity of Unity Search just moments before.

The air was thick with tension, and I couldn't help but wonder if he felt it too. With a final glance over my shoulder, I left the room, my mind racing with thoughts of what could have been.

As I closed the door to my bedroom, a deep sigh of relief escaped my lips. She couldn't help but feel a shiver run down her spine as he looked at her with his piercing gaze.

It was as if he could see right through her, into the depths of her soul. And when he touched her, it was electric.

Every nerve in her body seemed to come alive, sending a rush of sensations through her that she had never felt before.

She knew that being with him would be an intense experience, but she couldn't resist the pull he had on her.
