Our search for them was swift as we entered the mall. We effortlessly pinpointed them in Starbucks, sipping their coffees and engaged in conversation. It was conspicuous, their mouths moving as they spoke.
We settled ourselves close to their table, attempting to eavesdrop on their dialogue.
"Everything was executed with such precision! Thanks for your assistance, Cath!" exclaimed Emerald, causing a perplexed frown to crease my brow.
"No problem at all, I'd do anything for Primo and you," Catherine fervently responded, our eyes locking briefly with Olivia. We exchanged knowing glances, waiting for the opportune moment to confront the pair.
"Adela was a gullible fool to accept that explanation so readily. I mean, yes, it was indeed Primo who spoke, but if she truly loved him, she would have scrutinized it more carefully. A pitiable woman," Emerald chuckled, her words igniting a burning fury within me.
