I seized the shirt, pajamas, and undergarments, then proceeded to the bathroom to cleanse my body before heading straight to my slumber.
I was already drowsy, so it was fine to succumb to sleep immediately.
Once I composed myself, I grabbed my phone and messaged Demeter not to wake me up, even if it meant skipping dinner.
Demeter was initially hesitant, but my relentless pestering left her no choice but to agree, later on.
I collapsed my body onto the bed and rose slightly, noticing the curtains were still ajar. I swiftly closed them and went straight to bed to rest.
I jolted awake and quickly reached for my phone on the side to check the time.
I rubbed my eyes to clear my vision—it was only one in the early morning!
I stood up from the bed and gently moved my body before heading outside my room.
I ran my fingers through my hair and used my phone as a flashlight, even though there were dim lights.
