After finding out about the Baal and Leviathan clans' scheme, the three rushed toward the Acropolis ever so faster than before.
Their reason now is that Danny is sensing a massive amount of magical energy coalescing there and being absorbed into the earth from there.
They reached the Acropolis's foot, and Danny stopped to look at how much they still had to climb.
"Mira, is that claw spell the only vampire magic you know?"
Danny asked.
"No..."
Mira was confused about what is he getting at.
"Can you turn into a bat and scan the top of the mountain for any enemies?"
Danny asked his half-vampiress friend.
Mira nodded resolutely and looked at the mountain.
"Conversus In Vespertilio!"
She called and quickly morphed into a small black creature that looked like a flying mouse.
She swiftly started flying to the mountain's top as Danny and Chaos started climbing.
They had a long stairway between them and the temple.
********
After five minutes, Danny and Chaos were almost at the top when Mira joined back with them and gave them her report.
"There are about one hundred high-level Baal and Leviathan clan members chanting some kind of spell and about five hundred guards."
The red-headed demoness reported.
"There's no way we'll be able to sneak in with this many of them!"
Chaos complained loudly in frustration.
"You are damn right, you won't!"
A voice from slightly higher than them shouted.
It was one of the guards.
They were found!
"Mira, Chaos, protect me as I try dispelling whatever their spell is."
Danny instructed and started running ahead.
In the direction he was running, in one of the ruined buildings, were a hundred or so high-level demons standing in a circle and chanting some kind of destructive spell that was being absorbed into the earth.
"Stop right there!"
Two familiar faces appeared.
Ishtar and Hadad of the Baal Clan.
Why must it be them now of all times?!
Danny was extremely frustrated. He not only needed to defuse an unknown spell of incredibly and unimaginably powerful power, but he also needed to fend off these two while his friends were fighting a massive number of enemies, and he wasn't sure whether they could win.
He had to focus on the fight and couldn't keep wasting his magical energy on his disguise.
So he stopped the spell, and his hair and eyes returned to normal.
"Daniel?! Return to Hell. We don't have to hold this fight right now!"
Ishtar shouted in surprise.
She didn't expect that today would be the day when she would finally fight against him.
"Come on, Ishtar! You know that whatever it is your brother is planning, it's not how things should be done!"
Danny shouted at her.
"You know nothing! We are demons! What do your human morals have to do with anything?!"
Ishtar shouted in return.
"Brother, please don't interfere."
She asked of the demon standing by her side and locked her eyes on Danny.
"Sayf Al'awraq."
The black-haired Baal demoness chanted and dashed in Danny's direction.
Sicle swords made of vines sprouted from her hands and were gripped firmly in her hand.
Danny looked at her blades, created through magic. He could dispel them!
In a mere second from the start of the dash, Her blade was already at his neck.
She was confident that she had won, but with a crazy smile from him, she understood she messed up.
Baal demons weren't used to physical combat and usually relied on magic.
This was an incredible advantage that Danny had no issue exploiting.
The sickle sword in her hand turned into a typical vine as it hit his neck.
He reached with his hand and pulled his knife from a space pocket.
He swiped the knife at Ishtar, and she jumped back to dodge his attack.
Danny's issue was that this wasn't a war of attrition.
He needed to keep his strength to stop the spell while she had a massive amount of magical energy.
"I knew it was you!"
A familiar voice called from behind.
Danny felt who it was.
He could sense that there was a Canine demonic beast and an Oni demon behind him.
Momotaro, with a swift unsheathing movement, swiped at Hadad.
The Baal Clan's heir moved behind his sister to hide from the incoming attacks.
How shameless!
"We will defeat them! You stop the spell!"
Momotaro shouted while keeping a consistent swiping pace toward the Baal siblings.
The talking dog, too, tried attacking the siblings, but after a while, Momotaro decided it would be better if the Akita assisted Chaos and Mira in fighting the guards.
Danny ran into the temple and could see that the one hundred high-level demons inside were in a trans-like state, so none of them should attack him until he finished dispelling the spell.
He opened his eyes widely and focused on how the magic moved.
It was being absorbed into the earth, and many movements resembled explosion and fire spells...
Were they trying to spawn a volcano in the middle of Athens?!
Danny couldn't help slightly fricking out.
He tried controlling the spell and stopping it, but there was too much magical energy, and he started feeling exhausted.
He was feeling exhausted... What a joke!
He had family in the city, and his friends were fighting and doing their part!
Anger started filling his heart.
His eyes glowed brighter and brighter until he was in darkness again.
It was the same as what happened in Faerie.
His voice and attitude changed, and the white-haired man with the purple eyes was no longer Danny.
He waved his hand.
Like a gust of wind on a pile of leaves, the magic was immediately dispelled.
The one hundred high-level demons woke from their trans and looked at the purple-eyed nightmare standing in front of them.
For lack of options, some begged for mercy, and some tried attacking him, but he knocked them unconscious with a curse of pain. He cursed them all one by one without much as a blink.
"These are servants of Samael's realm?"
The merciless being possessing Danny asked himself.
He probed for familiar magic auras as far as his power could reach but found no one.
He could sense similar auras existed, but something was different...
"Between the Divine Plane and the Mortal Plane, I'm truly alone as the honored one..."
He chanted. A tear tumbled down his cheek.
This was an old inside joke, though there was no one left to laugh with him.
He felt a familiar aura, though it wasn't exactly the same.
He looked in its direction and saw that it was someone else.
He should probably stop before he reveals himself.
It wasn't yet time for his retribution.
********
Again, Danny found himself in a weird vision, but this time, he saw the two babies from before as slightly older.
He could see the purple-eyed boy, sitting looking at many realms with a melancholic expression, and the red-eyed boy running excitedly toward him.
"Chanter, I've heard from Big-Sis Heltinne that me and you are the only two true siblings here."
The red-eyed boy with white hair told the purple-eyed boy.
"What do you mean, Creator?"
The purple-eyed boy with white hair was curious.
"So you know how our father, Chaos, created ninety-seven kids, and then he created the two of us?"
The red-eyed kid asked.
"What of it?"
The purple-eyed boy asked.
"He created them the same way they create realms and creatures, but he created the two of us out of his whim and will to explore the world that his children created. We are extensions of him and the only two truly related to him in blood."
The red-eyed boy explained.
"I already knew that."
The purple-eyed boy said.
"You knew?!"
The red-eyed boy was surprised.
"I could see that something was very different between them and us. So I asked Dad."
The purple-eyed boy explained.
"Your all-seeing eyes never fail to amaze me. Unlike my all-copying eyes that never properly copy anything."
The red-eyed boy said with a frustrated voice, and the purple-eyed boy's eyes lightened up.
Danny didn't know why, but he could see into the boys' hearts and tell the purple-eyed boy's newfound happiness wasn't born from his brother's suffering but from a newfound interest in the world.
The purple-eyed boy grew bored of the world where every time someone created something, with some kind of energy source like magical energy but grander, the results were always the same as what was intended, and there was no individuality to things, but now he looked deeper.
Considering his brother's complaint, he looked deeper and could see the differences between things.
It was beautiful.
Nothing was the same.
Everything was so individually beautiful.
Suddenly, Danny woke up.
He was standing inside the temple and could see a hundred or so unconscious high-level demons and could only assume that they reached this state because of backlash from the spell.
Did he really succeed at dispelling their volcano-spawning spell?!
