Donovan looked at Danny in dismay.
Donovan had the rare ability to see True Names and could see Danny lied about his name.
'How could it be that a prince of Hell came to Faerie? And more than that. Wasn't this guy's true name different from what he claimed?'
Donovan thought to himself.
This situation seemed way too suspicious.
"Excuse me if I may, but what does the demon prince have to do with us and Faerie?"
The silver-haired Fay asked.
"Well, while on my way to the palace, I noticed your auras as you traveled through the branches from under us and thought you might need a hand."
Danny answered.
"Noticed our auras? Through the tree? What is the deal with your eyes, DANIEL?"
Donovan asked and looked at the demon with great suspicion.
Faerie was as much the name of the realm as it was the name of the tree, and its branches are not supposed to be see-through with any sort of magic. So Danny being able to see magical auras through it was outrageous.
Even Danny knew that...
"Hmm. So you are one of those who can see True Names?"
Danny crouched and asked the young Fay.
Fay, who could see True Names, was an intriguing tribe of the Fay.
There weren't many of them in the history books, but one notable member of the tribe was Rumpelstiltskin.
"And what if I am?"
Donovan asked.
"Can you keep my secret?"
Danny asked and pondered what he should give the boy in return.
"In return for keeping my secret, I'll help you regardless of who this enemy you're running from is."
Danny said and put his hand forward for a handshake.
Donovan didn't think much of it and shook the devil's hand.
As soon as he shook Danny's hand, he could feel a spell. This was a Demon Contract!
"Thank you very much. Now, who's the enemy?"
Danny stood back up and asked.
"I don't know. You should ask her."
Donovan answered and looked at the girl, who looked like the princess, lying unconscious behind him.
Danny analyzed the girl, and his pupils grew as he understood who it was.
Green hair, well-maintained skin, and clothes befitting of a royal? And seemingly as young as this young fellow who protected her... She must be the princess!
"Mary, I'm incapable of casting spells right now. Can you please cast a spell to wake her up?"
Danny said as he looked at Donovan with a judgmental expression.
This kid has put them in a whole lot of trouble. Even though the only reason they were roped into it was because of Danny...
"I don't know any spells to wake people up."
Mira said.
Danny looked at her with a stupefied expression. Didn't she read Buer Junior's study of the healing arts?!
It was merely at a first-year college level, nothing much.
"Sigh... Imagine magic energy coming through your index finger into her brain and lighting it up like electricity with a light bulb. Can you do that?"
Danny explained.
Mira struggled to understand what he meant.
Donovan listened to Danny's explanation and understood what the suspicious demon had said.
"You just need to focus your magic energy on your index finger while putting it on this girl's forehead and imagine that it helps."
He said, and Mira did exactly as he instructed.
"Oh! I need to keep you with me if you both understand what I'm saying and can explain it better!"
Danny's eyes lit up.
"No way."
Donovan refused without a second thought.
There was no way he would trust this guy.
"Okay. Now that you've done as the kid said, just-"
Danny started saying.
"It's... Alberich. My name, I mean."
Donovan said.
Danny looked at him with an expression that worried Donovan.
This expression was of someone who knew he lied, but no. He was not disappointed.
He didn't even care!
Fays who could see True Names had one unstoppable weakness. That weakness was that if someone knew their True Name, they were at the person's mercy.
But Danny didn't even care. How confident was he that he could win against Donovan?!
"Okay. So now that you've done as... Alberich had instructed, chant 'Dúisigh O Ailleacht.'"
Danny said.
"Dúisigh O Ailleacht."
Mira chanted, and magical energy flowed from her index finger to the unconscious girl. Soon after, the girl woke up.
"No! Marvin!"
She yelled and then stopped and looked around.
"Where am I?"
She asked with an innocent-sounding voice that could easily captivate the hearts of men and activate their paternal instincts.
"Not far from the entrance to Hell."
Danny said, and the princess looked at him with dismay.
A demon? In Faerie?
She moved her eyes along to the other people there.
A female demon and a silver-haired Fay...
Silver-haired Fay?!
"Are you the one who saved me from Marvin?!"
She asked excitedly and came near to Donovan.
"Y-yes..."
He answered, struggling to hide his embarrassment.
"What happened? Who's Marvin?"
Danny interjected. He can't use magic during his two-day stay at Faerie and needs to know who his enemy is.
"Marvin is the head of my personal guard."
She answered.
"And why are you running from him?"
Danny asked.
"He tried to insert his... into my..."
She answered.
Both Danny's and Mira's expressions turned demonic at that moment.
He tried doing what?!
Well. Then it's a great thing they are here. It's time for an execution.
"Do you think your father will be able to help?"
Mira asked.
"Yes. He always gets furious when suitors come by."
The green-haired girl answered.
"Then that's where we will go. Mira, use a teleportation spell, please."
Danny said.
"Remind me how it goes."
Mira didn't remember what exactly the teleportation spell Danny always used was.
In general, she didn't like that he used her to cast spells he couldn't, but she had already joined his party, and he only used her when it was needed.
"Well, before we go. Princess, what is your name?"
Danny asked.
He preferred being able to call any of his companions if needed.
"Willow Foraoise, nineteenth princess of Faerie."
The princess answered proudly.
"My name is Marcuse Bloodborne, prince of Hell. She is Mira Baal, my colleague. And the Fay is Alberich."
Danny introduced them.
"The teleportation spell is 'Tēza Yātarā.'"
Danny told Mira, and she repeated after him.
The four of them appeared in the King's Hall in Faerie's royal palace.
