As Zhishi Wu was reflecting on his newfound strength three figures landed outside his cave.
"Greetings to the Elder, we have arrived here on behalf of the sect leader." Pyari declared.
Zhishi Wu slowly walked out of his cave, he was still a bit surprised by his heightened senses and had yet to get used to them.
"Ah yes you three were named Pyari, Roshini and Kun Faya. It seems I will be responsible for your guidance for the next six months."
The three bowed slightly.
"We greet Master." the three bowed slightly.
"Don't worry about formalities with me. I am not experienced in teaching so feel free to ask me questions."
The three hesitated for a second before speaking up.
"I am a sword cultivator and am at the peak of Qi condensation, I focus more on offense and aim to instantly kill my opponents." Pyari spoke up first.
"I focus on hand to hand martial art techniques to incapacitate or wear down my opponent overtime currently at the late stage of Qi condensation." Kun Faya added.
"My goal is to become a warrior that utilizes formations, most of my combat prowess is strictly cultivation based and I am also currently at the late stage of Qi condensation."
Zhishi Wu thought about what they said.
"Offense heavy, opportunistic and specialized fighting style." he stated.
He slowly sat down and decided on his next course of action although this teaching position was eating his time he decided to use it to his advantage better understanding the combat between cultivators, he turned his attention to the boulder in front of him.
"Disciple Pyari, slash at the boulder."
She didn't reply and merely did as she was told, quickly unsheathing the blade that hung at her side and slashing at the boulder.
The strike was swift and powerful, the boulder split into two without much difficulty.
"As you command." she said and bowed awaiting Zhishi Wu's statement.
"Relax with the bowing it's not necessary."
She stood up awkwardly, she was not used to ignoring proper etiquette, the prim and proper type.
"As for your demonstration it was quick and smooth, however you seemed a little too calm when slashing, aren't you missing something?"
She looked at Zhishi Wu with a confused expression.
"I am unsure Master please enlighten me."
Zhishi Wu thought about how to explain it for a second before proceeding.
"When you fight a real battle, do you see opponents with faces as calm as yours?"
She froze up.
"Within a real battle you are not only fighting your opponent physically but mentally as well, flood their senses with fear and let them make a mistake, drown them in terror." he said with a smile.
Pyari was surprised for a moment but quickly nodded.
"I see what master is referring to, it must be killing intent." She looked like she had solved a great mystery.
"Indeed swing your blade with purpose." Zhishi Wu was just regurgitating knowledge he had read within various martial arts manuals, although he did not speak without integrity either, these were his true critiques about her technique.
"Next Kun Faya, the only way I can critique your techniques is if I spar with you, so try to incapacitate me."
Kun Faya did as he was told and rushed Zhishi Wu, he was very confident in his hand-to-hand skills, if the opponent wasn't too much above him in terms of cultivation he was confident in not losing.
To begin with he attempted to tackle Zhsihi Wu to the ground however Zhishi Wu merely leaped into the air and Kun Faya caught nothing, he immediately turned around to see Zhihsi Wu's foot in his face and fell backwards.
"I've suppressed myself and didn't use too much Qi, you should still be able to fight."
Kun Faya immediately stood up and attempted to punch Zhishi Wu in the face, the fist pierced through the air almost creating a shockwave but Zhishi Wu moved ever so slightly just barely avoiding the fist and responding by grabbing Kun Faya's shoulders pulling him downward and kneeing him in the stomach.
Kun Faya fell to the ground and coughed up some spit while gasping for air.
"Just because you are a cultivator doesn't mean you can't be outsmarted or coaxed."
Kun Faya stood up slowly while shaking slightly.
"As a fighter who seeks opportunities during a fight you shouldn't be so quick to swing, if the opponent in not in your league run, if you can't run seek openings don't be hasty and quick to anger."
Zhishi Wu said as he wiped his hand against his robe.
"I will improve according to your advice master." he bowed slightly.
Zhishi Wu then turned his attention to Roshini and she was looking at him expectedly.
"And for you."
"Yes master?"
Zhishi Wu shrugged his shoulders
"Give me a few days to revise my self on formation based combat, until then focus on refining your Qi control."
"..." Roshini had a defeated expression on her face.
"HOW COME I DON GET A PROFOUND LESSON!" she yelled internally but in reality her response was different.
"As you wish Master."
Zhishi Wu turned around and was about to depart before stopping and his demeanor became unexpectedly serious.
"Although I have agreed to teach you I will not waste my time on people who can't comprehend instructions, If you need help ask me but I will be testing you weekly from now on and I expect results, is that understood?"
"Yes master." they all responded in unison.
"Any parting questions?" Zhishi Wu asked to dismiss them.
"Would you describe yourself as hands-'" Roshini tried to blurt out before Zhishi Wu interceded
"You are all dismissed for the week." Zhishi Wu said as he vanished from his spot.
Kun Faya and Pyari looked at Roshini with a disappointed expression.
"WHAT? You both are just jealous you don't have my confidence."
"Reaching 20 something years of age and still acting like a child tsk tsk." Kun Faya said as he departed.
"You should have more respect for the Master." Pyari said as she left
"Bah, you guys are no fun." Roshini said as she followed them.
"And in my defense his voice does sound like he's handsome."
The statement was met with a prompt smack on the head in response from Pyari.
