I was in my backyard right now, shirtless, as I kept punching the sandbag using a wooden stick. I was supposed to meet the older Salvatore, but I didn't since I don't trust being alone with him. Stefan was probably with Elena or at school having football practise since they would play tonight. I stopped hitting when I felt someone behind me. I held the wooden stick tighter and turned around, ready to swing it, but stopped myself once I saw Damon standing close with an amused face.
"Shit, what are you doing here?" I asked him annoyedly as I walked over to the tables, turned my back on him, and gulped down the water. I felt Damon eyeing me from head to toe, which made me feel uncomfortable. "You had a tattoo; it looked hot on you. I never thought you were the tattoo type," he whistled as he walked over to stand by my side. "Cut the bullshit; I know why you're here. Just tell me here what you want to say." I said to him, ignoring his remark.
He narrowed his eyes at that. "It's good that you knew; it saved my work from having to pick you up, princess," he said sarcastically. "What if someone accidentally heard our conversation hmmm? We can talk inside your house." He suggested. I glanced at him before chuckling, which confused the other man. "No can do. I know you need my permission to enter the house. Who knows, you probably would kill me in my sleep, aye," I said, smirking at him.
Suddenly, he closed the distance between us as he clasped my throat, not too tight but just enough for me to breathe. "See, Alec, you're smart as ever. " noticed every little detail, hmmm," he whispered to my face as he gazed into my eyes. "Has anyone said you looked beautiful, Alec," he purred. It gave me goosebumps hearing that.
Damon is attractive, I admit, despite his asshole character. "Don't try to change the subject; tell me what else I should know about vampires," I said, trying to keep my voice cold. "Why should I?" He said as he moved his hand that was on my throat to my waist and tightened the grip as our bodies practically glued to each other. I've already put on clothes. I put my hand on his chest as I leaned back to put some distance between us.
"Not telling? Fine then. I could ask Stefan about that, and the problem would settle. So I suggest you go away." I said as I felt his hold loosen on my waist. Then he suddenly grasped my hand, and I felt him removing my rings from my finger. "You! What the hell are you doing?! Give it back!" I exclaimed at him as I tried to snatch it back, but I stopped when his face came close to mine, nose touching. He looked me directly in the eyes. I realised what he was trying to do.
I don't struggle since I know it won't work. But he looked like he was struggling due to his eyes kept changing to black and blue. At last, I finally heard him say, "Kiss me," as his pupil dilated. I was dumbfounded to hear that. Before his lips could touch mine, I slapped him hard on the face. "What the fuck was that?!" I asked, enraged at his shameless behaviour. My face was all red due to anger."
He touched the side of his cheek where I slapped him before glancing at me. "Your ring was not the reason then. You just can't be compelled," he stated. "This ring blocked your scent from us, vampire." he continued with an intrigued face as he looked at me.
I snatched the ring and put it where it used to be. "Don't pull out the ring no matter what, in case some vampires, especially Stefan, lose control of themselves smelling your scent," he said with a shit-eating grin. "Well, thank you for stating the obvious." I rolled my eyes at him. He then started to walk away and looked at me with an emotion I had never seen on his face. It's soon replaced with his usual smirking face, and he winks at me before disappearing. Vamp speed, I guess.
I was on my way to the football games, and it was full of people and loud. Well, what do you expect? Anyway, as I was about to find Elena and the others, I saw Stefan, Lockwood, and Elena's brother fighting. It was more like Stefan tried to stop the fighting. Then, I saw the younger Gilbert about to swing the shattered glass bottle at Tyler, and being the stupid person I am, I ran to shove him on the way, and my hands got cut with the glass instead.
Matt pushed Tyler back, and I saw Elena run over to her brother to check on him. I looked at my hand; the cut was deep, so it'll take a while to heal on its own. I looked sideways to see Stefan stiffening and avoiding looking at me.
Shit, I forgot! Before I could stay away from Stefan, Elena turned around and quickly checked on my bleeding hand. "Oh, my God! Your hand," she said as she held my hand to inspect it. "It's fine, Elena; it's not that deep." I lied to appease her. "You still need to treat them right," Elena said. "Stefan, are you okay? I- I saw your eyes," I heard Elena exclaim at Stefan. "Uhh, I'm fine, just blood... ah I need to go first. Bye Elena," he said, glancing at me quickly before walking away.
"Do you see his eyes changing?" Elena asked me, frowning. "What no, maybe it was your imagination," I said, trying not to sound nervous. Then we approached Bonnie, as Caroline was still directing the cheerleader team. "Hey! Where have you guys been?" she said, but worry flashed on her face when she saw my hand. "Are you alright, Alec?" she asked. "Yeah totally. Don't worry," I smiled at her as she nodded.
Then Elena looked at Bonnie. "Can I ask you a question and get a really serious, no joke response," she asked. This must be about Stefan. "Of course, what is it?" Bonnie answered back. "The Bad Mojo. When you touched Stefan and you had that reaction," Elena said, but Bonnie changed the topic. "You know what? Forget I said that. Your little dinner party plot totally won me over," she said, smiling. "No, Bonnie, seriously, what was it? Did you see something or..." Elena said, and Bonnie shook her head. "It wasn't clear like a picture. Like today, I keep seeing those same numbers I told you guys about. Eight, fourteen, twenty-two," she said, looking at both of us.
I wonder what her reaction will be, knowing she's in fact a witch. "When I touched Stefan, it was a feeling. And it vibrated through me, and it was cold, and it." She said she was stopping at the end. "And what, Bonnie," I questioned, feeling intrigued now. "Death. It's what I imagine Death to be like." She finished.
Elena had gone to meet Stefan, so I went to my car to put on a bandage since it was still bleeding but had already healed a little. If I didn't stop the young Gilbert, he would probably face a charge of murder considering how much force he put in. I usually just let the wound heal without doing anything, but I don't want Elena to get suspicious and go after me.
But of course, vampires with their damn heightened senses found me. "Damon," I said without looking back, as I could see his reflection in the car mirror. His face had already changed from normal to vampiric. I turned around and needed to look up a little to gaze into his eyes when he didn't say anything. "Well, why are you-" I was cut short when he slowly came closer to me as I tried to back away. My hips hit the car as he finally stood in front of me. "You really wanted to be sucked dry, did you?" he spoke out while tracing my face with his hand. "It already healed, so you don't- "Once again, he interrupted me. Can't he let me finish or what?
"Healed? Did you heal on your own?" he asked while taking my wounded hand to check on it. He removed the bandage I put on and started tracing the cut. "It does almost heal now...." he said, slowly meeting my eyes. Then he put pressure on the cut as I welp. "What the fuck was your problem now!" I said, trying to take my hand away from his grasp. The cut that had almost healed started to open up again as blood flowed from it.
He put his fingers, coated in my blood, into his mouth. I looked at him disgustedly as he moaned when he tasted the blood. "More, more, I need more," he said. "Wait..., wait Damon! You can't do this! You'll lose control again," I whispered, yelling at him. I flinched when his bottomless black eyes looked at me with veins protruding around the eyes.
"You either let me or I'm going to suck you dry, dear friend Caroline, and everyone you knew," he growled as he threatened me. I gulped upon hearing that. "So make your choice, pretty boy," he said, narrowing his eyes at me. I felt hopeless now because I knew he would do what he told me. "FINE! But don't go overboard." Just after I said that, he sunk his teeth straight into my wrist. I gritted my teeth, as I didn't want to make a sound.
It had already been over 4 minutes when he was finally done. He was grinning and looking at me as he licked the blood around his mouth. "That was fantastic! The taste was out of this world. I felt stronger than before," Damon said as his face finally changed to normal. "I almost lost control there," he said, laughing like a madman. I leaned my back on the car as I scowled at him.
He then cut his wrist before shoving it in my face, but I dodged it. "What the fuck was that for!" the hell does he think he does. "Drink my blood; it would make you heal faster," he said nonchalantly. "Ew no. I can be healed by myself," I said, shoving his hand away from my face. "Whatever, pretty boy, I tried being nice to you," he said, as if I were the troublesome person here.
I rolled my eyes at him and bumped his shoulder, though he hardly moved as I passed him. "So why are you here? Shouldn't you be with Caroline now?" I asked him as I lit a cigarette. I know it's not good for your health, but I usually need it at times like this. I don't know Damon's intention for using Caroline or why he is even here. Is it because of Elena? I saw the way Damon would annoy Stefan by using Elena. "I'm hiding from her. She talked more than I can listen," he said as he tried to take the cigarettes from me.
"Uh uh uh, I don't share my cigarettes," I said, backing away from him as I let out a puff of smoke. "I don't like that smell," he said, smirking at me as he snatched the cigarettes from my mouth and threw them on the floor. "And you're still a student," he states. "Oh, I didn't know you cared about that," I said sarcastically. "I don't care what your agenda is, but stop using Caroline as if she were your pawn," I said in a cold voice. He raised an eyebrow at my sudden change of attitude. "She sure does. Including you, if only you can be compelled." he hummed. I just looked at him coldly before going into my car and driving off.
I texted the other, saying I was going back earlier, before throwing the phone to the side. I drive absentmindedly as I keep thinking about what Damon wants. That guy seems suspicious. Damon always tried to sabotage Stefan and Elena's relationship. And he kept talking about Katherine, Sfetan's ex-girlfriend. Is it possible that she's a vampire too? No, Damon said she's dead. Wait! Don't tell me Damon liked Katherine too, but she chose Stefan? He sighed, frustrated. He can't just make the assumption, but why else would
Damon try to sabotage Stefan and Elena's relationship if not out of jealousy? Arriving home, I saw a red rose on the door handle. I looked around as I took the rose. I just put the rose on the table as I made my way to my room. I don't have any energy to think about who gave that I removed my clothes as I lay on the bed, shirtless. I felt weary; hence, once my face hit the soft pillow, I fell asleep. knowing tomorrow is going to be more stressful.
As Alec sleeps soundly on his bed, there's a figure outside Alec's window watching Alec with emotion that even the person himself doesn't notice. The mysterious figure disappears after staying there for 30 minutes.
