Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Founder Party

It seems I got my motivation back. Hahaha. Don't worry, nothing crazy happened in my life <3

Disclaimer: TVD is not mine

Alec found out about the news of Mr. Tanner's death just after he finished bathing. The football match was cancelled after his lifeless body was discovered by some students. Alec had a feeling he knew who did this. But why? What will 'he' gain from killing the history teacher? Did that asshole kill the coach before or after their encounter? If it was the latter, it makes sense why he came to me just for my blood. Nah, I don't know. Porca puttana! I don't want to dwell on this any more. I can't guess what's on his mind anyway.

Alec felt he was too apathetic. He calmly accepted that vampires existed and that his blood had a fatal attraction to vampires. No,probably because he's weird too.The fact that he could've been killed in the blink of an eye just because of a drop of his blood and Damon had consumed his blood for more than 3 minutes, yet he was still standing, just feeling dizzy when it more than 3 minutes.

He knew Damon used Caroline but didn't do anything about it. Acting like it was none of his business, which was true but still And Alec doubts he can persuade Damon to stop hurting Caroline. That guy was unpredictable; who knows, he might kill Caroline. And he tried hard to cause a misunderstanding between Elena and Stefan's relationship. He can fight and win against normal humans, but certainly not against a supernatural being.

But Alec didn't ponder about it as he prepared to go out before going to Founder Party this night at the Lockwood Mansion with Bonnie. Alec had just opened the door when he slammed it shut instantly when he saw Damon standing there with a shit-eating grin. "Ouch, that's quite rude, don't you think?" he heard Damon say. "Perché diavolo questo stronzo qui," he muttered quietly to himself, and feeling annoyed by the fact that he forgot that Damon had superhearing.

"Ahh, questo stronzo qui è venuto a succhiarti il sangue, mia cara," he jumped when Damon responded sarcastically in Italian too. Fuck. He forgot that Damon was a hundred years old hag.

He had no choice but to open the door. He peeked at Damon before completely opening the door. He kept a good distance from Damon. "What do you want? No, why are you here?" he asked. "I didn't know you could speak Italian," Damon says, but he didn't give Alec a chance to respond. "Straight to the point, are we? Where are your young people's manners? Why don't you invite me in?" he sighed in disappointment.

"Do you think I'm stupid!? Who knows? You might kill me in my sleep. So you're not allowed to come in," I said, frowning. "Invite. Me. In." Damon threatened me as he narrowed his eyes at me. Alec just rolled his eyes. Then Damon smiled as if he found the situation amusing. "You're scared of me, are you?" he said, smirking.

I chuckled at that and grinned, seeing his confused face. "Sorry to disappoint you, Mr. Salvatore, but sadly, I'm not." I smiled dazzlingly at him. I frowned when he just stared at me. "Hey, do you hear-" I was cut off when Damon suddenly took a step forward. "You should smile more, mi amor," Damon said, smirking at my dumbfounded face. I just glared at him as he waved at me before leaving. I watched his back until he disappeared. Why would he come here, threaten me, and then go away like nothing happened?

Alec was at Elena's house, using black suit with two buttons on the white t-shirt slightly opened, revealing his clavicle. He was sitting in the kitchen with Bonnie and Elena, waiting for them to get ready. "You seemed happy-ish," Bonnie told Elena. "I am... ish. Tonight is going to be a good night. But that doesn't stop you from telling me whatever you want to say since coming here," Elena said. I nodded my head at that.

"What if I tell you in the morning? I don't want to ruin the night." Bonnie replied. "Just say it, Bonnie; the sooner the better," I said. "Okay, but don't let Caroline know about this since she will kill me if it gets back to Damon. Apparently, Stefan had a very intriguing backstory," she said. Uhuh, and," Elena said with doubt.

"Do you know what happened with his ex-girlfriend, Katherine?" Bonnie asked, looking at us mysteriously. "They both dated her, and that's why they have issues," I said uncertainly. "Yeah, they both dated her, but she chose Damon. And that drove Stefan mad, so he did horrible things to break them up. He manipulated Katherine by filling her head with lies until she truly believed them. And she turned against Damon," Bonnie said as her face showed a judging face.

But hearing this story, I knew it must be Damon telling a one-sided story. Just another one of his methods to make Stefan and Elena's already rocky relationship worse. Planting doubt in Elena slowly.

"I just wanted both of you to know about this," Bonnie said. "Anyway, his past relationship is none of our business," Elena finally said. "Unless he's a calculating and manipulative liar. That's your business." Bonnie said as she painted her nails. "Stefan is none of those things," Elena replied, looking uncomfortable. "Right, come on. Get ready faster. We have a party to attend," I said to ease Elena's uneasiness. She just gave me an appreciative smile.

We arrived at Lockwood Mansion and when I said we,it mean Elena,me AND Stefan. That guy tag along with us too and Bonnie had a changed of plan. "Hi, Mayor Lockwood," Elena greeted him as he walked towards us. "Hey! Hey! Come on in," he said as we made our way in. "Thank you," I said, nodding at him. "Have fun!" he said before walking away. "I'm going to look around first," I said to both of them before strolling around. I refused to be a light bulb.

I was drinking at the conspicuous corner, looking at people around me chatting and laughing. I started to walk away when I spotted Damon sauntering towards me. But he's faster than me. Obviously. "Not too fast, kitten." He smirked at me. I frowned at how he addressed me but decided to ignore it. "What do you want? Stefan was with Elena. As for Caroline, you knew where she was. Now excuse me," I said, about to turn away, but he stopped me by grabbing my wrist.

He took the drink in my hand and gulped it down before continuing. "I just wanted to express my sincere apologies for threatening you and you look hot in this style,"he said as he eyed me from up to down. "No need to remind me,I know," I replied sarcastically, while winking my eyes at him and he looked astonished at cocky respond. I feel brave, well, not that I'm not brave before but consuming alcohol made me more brave. I walked away from him still smirking.

As more people arrive, the atmosphere grows more lively. I was walking about when I noticed Stefan and Damon's faces on the founder information. Aren't they concerned that people may become suspicious? Damon appeared to be handsome—wait, handsome seriously. I slapped my face to wake awake and blamed the thinking on the drink. This is why I should abstain from alcohol. As I continued to read, I became aware of a presence beside me. I don't have to look to figure out who it is.

"There was a battle here, called the Battle of Yellow Creek." He begins. Though I'm not sure why he said that, I just agreed with him. "I knew that. Confederate forces opened fire on a church filled with civilians." Still not looking at him, I said. "Right, but the victims who were slaughtered were not mentioned in the history books. They weren't there by chance." He continued, "They were thought to be union sympathisers," he remarked as I finally looked at him. As a result, some Confederacy founders wanted them hunted up and burned alive."

I remained silent, only listening to what he said. "In that church, Stefan and Damon had a crush on someone. They were shot when they went to rescue them. Murdered cold-bloodedly." He stated this while staring me down. "Did you both get shot? Who?" I realised he was telling me about his life before he became a vampire. "Our very own father." He uttered that with a blank expression. "And let me guess, Katherine was in it." He nodded as I spoke.

I heard him laugh as I was processing the information he had given me. I gave him a puzzled look, wondering what was he found amusing about."Come on, Alexander, join your other friends." "I could see the gears turning in your head." He chuckled and returned to his smug self. I simply rolled my eyes as I followed him.

Both of us were walking towards Elena, Stefan, and Caroline. "What'd we miss?" Damon asked them, while I noticed Elena looked puzzled about why I was with Damon. "We were just chatting. Drink, Damon?" Stefan said, offering a drink to Damon. "No, thanks; I'll pass." He said it lazily. Then Elena asked Stefan to dance with her, but before both of them went away, Stefan shot me a glance. Huh, that guy probably worried why I was with his brother. I couldn't blame him, though. I walked away from them to fill my empty stomach.

I was dancing with some random girl whose name I forget, but I was enjoying it nonetheless. To be honest, I rarely let myself enjoy things, and with the fact that vampires exist, I need to let some steam off. Of course, by dancing, what do you think I am? Those alcohol drinks are definitely a booster, as I would never dance in public. As I spun the girl, out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Elena confront Damon about something before walking away with a scowl still on her face. I was debating whether to follow her but decided against it; she surely would find Stefan.

At last, my curiosity get the better of me, I excuse myself from the girl before looking for Elena. But it seems, she beat me first, "Hey, Alec, have you seen Caroline?" She inquired, her voice tinged with apprehension. "Um, no, I don't." "Did anything happen to her?" I inquired, and she hesitantly nodded. "I'll help you look for her," I responded as we both began searching for Caroline.

"Caroline? "There you are," I exclaimed as Elena rushed to her side. Elena barraged her with questions as she began to sob and shake. When I noticed blood smears near her neck, it clicked. Damon. Elena gave me a troubled look as she held Caroline, who was in tears.

It was late at night when I finally arrived home. I ended up sending Elena and Caroline to their respective homes. Based on Elena's explanation, she confronts Damon about the bite and bruise on Caroline's neck before asking for Stefan to stop Damon. I want to badly tell them the truth, but they wouldn't believe me or they would end up frightened. I felt helpless about this. Checking my phone, I notice Stefan sent me a simple message: 'I took care of him'. My heart churned seeing that, but assume it was due to drinking on an empty stomach. But something in my gut tells me this isn't over yet.
