Another round of collective gasp follows as another slap from the Noble Consort jerks Hagian's face to the other side.
"Noble consort!" He shrieks, anger overriding his shock.
"First prince!" the Noble Consort yells back at him. "How could you do something so cruel to her?" She questions, bulged eyes glaring at him with such intensity that they have never seen.
Hagian stares at her, his mouth agape. This woman before him is a far cry from the gentle, reserved owner of the Moon Palace. It is as if a completely different person stands in her place, one who radiates righteous anger and protective fury. The Emperor gapes at her, also dumbstruck by her sudden change.
