POV Kakashi
After the battle of the bridge the days became peaceful. Kai had not woken up yet from whatever that was. Kakashi had seen many things in his shinobi life but nothing like that. (The power was on par with a tailed beast.) He thought to himself. He knew that he had to bring Kai back, after all the Hokage needed to know, and everyone needed awnsers.
Naruto was worried about his brother, Sasuke was pouting that he was not strong enough and Sakura was worrieingnofter Sasuke. Kakashi sighed (this is going to be a headache) he thought (Guy was right though Chakra or not the power Kai weilds is unbelievable.) Kakashi thought that maybe Kai had shown that mysterious power to guy.
What confused him the most is there was still no chakra. Kakashi even watched with his sharingan and could understand what Kai had done. Kakashi heard a stirring sound and looked over. Kai was finally waking up. Maybe now he could get some awnsers.
POV Kai
Kai opened his eyes and looked at the wooden ceiling. "About time you woke up." he heard as he looked around he found Kakashi sitting in the corner watching him. "Did we win?"Kai asked. Kakashi awnsered "Yes we won but now I have some questions. What was that you did at the end? How did you save Zabuza and Haku from the chidori, and who the hell was that silver haired man?"
Kai was sweating a little, (looks like the cat is out of the bag.) he thought. He then decided to go with a story that Rose had helped him with, he would describe the angels prayer as an ability of the Dragoon Spirit and the Dragoon Spirit as an ancient artifact he had discovered. The trick was he could not afford to have his freedom restricted, 7 Dragoon spirits were out there and in the wrong hands could do as much damage as a tailed beast. Kai shuddered thinking about Obito, Pain, Deidara, or Hidan with a dragoon spirit.
"At the end I used an artifact I found a few years ago, it grants power but only breifly," Kai began, "saving those two was a lesser power with alot of restrictions it can only revive a person withing an hour of them dying and can only do so a few times a month." Kakashi nodded siluch a miraculous artifact had to have restrictions. Kai continued with "The power was a kind of failsafe in case the user is in danger. It can only be activated once a month and only in greatest need or anger. As for the silver haired man he said his name was Loyd and I have no idea what or who he is."
(Mix a little truth with the lies, I may have to leave a note for Naruto and run away, after all with the strength I displayed I doubt I'll enjoy the kind of freedom I have had up till now.) Kai thought to himself.
POV Kakashi
(Too many things are not adding up. How did he find it? What the hell is it and what is with that guy with wings? I have never heard of a shinobi with skills like that.) "We leave for the village in a couple of days, we can have medical ninjas examine you when we get back to make sure there is no after effects from that artifact you used." Kakashi stated. Kai nodded and Kakashi exited the hut.
Walking into the woods he said "Please inform the Hokage of this mysterious power and let him know we will need more surveillance on Kai." An Anbu ninja appeared and said that it would be done before disappearing to go inform the Hokage. Kakashi did not know about the Root ninja who was already on the way back to Danzo. Nor did he know of the rift that his actions would cause today between Kai and the village.
POV Kai
Naruto showed up about an hour or 2 after Kai woke up. He had to spend a long time convincing his brother that he was OK, just tired from using a power he was not used to. Naruto then launched into a recount of the training Kakashi was putting them through. From what he told Kai, Kakashi felt they had mastered tree walking and was teaching them about walking on water, but none of them had quite gotten the hang of it yet.
After he left, Sasuke visited Kai and began to ask about that power he used at the end. Kai stated that it was not a power that just anyone could use and gave Sasuke even less information than he gave Kakashi. (Last thing I need is for him to somehow find a dragoon spirit. The way he is obsessed with revenge, he could cause untold damage, and he is too easily manipulated.) Kai thought to himself.
After a few days, team 7 left for Konoha with Kai in tow. The trip to the Leaf Village was uneventful, and they arrived a few days later. Kai was sent to the hospital for them to run tests like Kakashi said. wlWhen they tried to give him a shot, he stopped them. He then asked why he needed a shot when he was only their for vitals. Kai felt a price on his neck and fell unconscious.
POV ?????????
"Stupid kid he should have just cooperated" The masked ninja said while the medical ninja nodded before leaving. The Masked ninja picked up Kai and disappeared into the night.
