Kai laughed, he liked this old man. "No problems whatsoever, sir. I would rather you take your time and parduce a masterpiece than rush it and make a piece of junk." Fine, the old man stated he then approached and asked for more details.
"I want a sword of that length," Kai stated, pointing at a Straight double edged longsword with a 38-inch blade and 12 inch grip. " I want it forged out of this." Mike said before depositing the meteorite on the shop floor, causing the old smith's eyes to go wide. He touched the metal enthralled by it. Looking at Kai he asked if there was any particular requests, excited. Kai smiled knowing the cranky old smith was taking this seriously. "I would like this inscription on the blade. Dubhenn haern am glâdeal, morc'h am fhean aiesin." The Smith nodded, Kai continued."Is it possible to have this sword made in a month?" Kai asked.
The old Smith thought about it "I ordinarily don't like time frames, but that is reasonable." When asked about the price, the old man said it would be free if he could have the leftover metal. Kai agreed it was a fair trade. The old man then showed him out, slamming the door, telling him not to come back till it was ready.
Kai wandered home, finding Naruto was already asleep. Kai went to his own room, falling on his bed and passing out immediately.
POV Hiruzen Sarotobi
Hiruzen was awake, pondering Kai's warning about snakes. He had a feeling he knew who Kai was talking about, but how did Kai get information on him? Orochimaru had not been to Konoha in years and was difficult to find information about.
Hiruzen sighed. It was hell getting old, and he got the feeling that he should have killed his student when he had the chance. Jariya should be back soon, and Hiruzen was planning on having him train Naruto.
To make matters worse, he received a report from Kakashi about the confrontation with the Sand Shinobi involving his grandson. Hiruzen had to pull 3 chunnin off of other duties to monitor Kohamaru. That kid was staying out of trouble for once. Apparently, Kai had some words with him showing him the error of what he had done. Something was wrong. Hiruzen could feel it but couldn't put his finger on it, and it was bothering him. He slept fitfully that night.
POV Kai
Kai woke up refreshed and ate breakfast with Naruto. Naruto said that he had received the application for the chunnin exam and had to turn it in today. Kai nodded as he ate. Kai and Naruto parted ways to go take care of their own buisness. Kai went to the forest and began training the Rouge Style. He moved through the forms, punching an invisible opponent before he stopped.
Without looking around, he said, "Are you going to watch me all day?" Anko approached from the tree she had been hiding in. "I want to learn how to use this thing." She said, holding up her dragoon spirit. Kai shrugged. "It's not that I don't want to teach you, but it required a different kind of power than chakra. You might as well ask me to teach you to breathe or how to see, how to hear. It will come in time when it is ready, and it cannot be rushed."
Anko then asked to spar with him. Kai agreed before realizing that even in a spar, she fought dirty. She would flirt, to distract him, aim for groin shots use chakra to flip around him. Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, everything was on the table.
Kai felt like it was a life or death fight instead of a spar. By the end, Kai was covered in bruises and had not felt this beat up since he first fought Guy to improve his technique. Anko then smirked and told him he needs to do better and vanished in a flicker technique.
Needless to say, Kai was not happy about being used as a punching bag and limped back home to rest. Promising payback when it was time to teach her how to use the dragoon spirit.
POV Anko
Anko chuckled as she watched Kai limp away. He was so cocky when the spar began, but it was obvious that he lacked battlefield experience against shinobi. She needed to blow off some steam, the Hokage had dragged her into the chunnin exam as the examiner for the second round.
She was also a little frustrated and took it out on Kai due to him refusing to teach her how to use the Dragoon Spirit. She felt something, like a whisper on the edge of hearing. Just out of reach and felt she was close to a breakthrough.
Feeling a little better after bullying Kai Anko left to make her big entrance to the exam. She had a flair for the dramatic and loved to show off, so she was looking forward to frightening some of the brats in the exam.
POV ??????
An ancient toad sat upon a mountain. "Fukasaku, you must warn Jariya. The one who will bring peace will be accompanied by the one who brings war. This new person I cannot see their future it as if the tapestry of fate itself cannot direct him. If he stays true to his path, this new being can help the child of destiny bring about peace. But of rage consumes him, then the world itself will burn, and all will be lost."
Fukasaku sat stunned for a minute before hurrying away to contact Jariya and tell him. Gamabunta overheard the conversation and could not help but worry. That pervert may be strong, but he was a bit unreliable, especially since he was so easily distracted by his so-called research.
