Over an hour after Kyle and Christian spoke in the safe house, they went to the ANM base to meet with the other Captains.
The Captains' office changed a lot, it looks more like a lounge instead. As there were six leather armchairs and a sofa to match. Each chair was more than an arm length away from each other. A deep red saxony carpet covered the floor as a chandelier hung from the middle of the ceiling. There were black and white pillars painted on white walls giving an off putting vibe of Royalty. However there was another thing that was off putting, which was the black refrigerator in the corner of the room.
"What will you do, now that you finally turned into a vampire?" Gabriel asked as he sat across from Kyle.
"I'm going to Blutheim but before that I need to meet with Melissa." Kyle said as he slouched on the sofa next to Drey.
"We still haven't found any information on it or its location. Do you know where it is?" Michael asked as he sat next to Gabriel.
"The reason why you never found anything is because of the fact that every government around the world worked together to hide. Continuously scouring the internet, even the darkest sites. It's impossible to find it outside of the Classified HPA files." Kyle explained as memories from an HPA agent flooded his head.
"Before we continue, Kyle, how did you find this out? Given that you escaped a federal prison meant to hold you, having that much time to interrogate someone is near impossible." Ralfie asked, sitting a chair away from Drey.
"Well…. How do I explain this… After I fully turned into a Vampire, I saw hundreds of new memories as if it was something that I had forgotten. But none of them are my memories. I know that because at the end of every single one, I saw myself at the end. I saw everything from the moment they were born until they met me, when they died. And I remember most of the people in these memories because I killed them myself. So I didn't need to interrogate any of the agents because their blood gave me all the information I needed." Kyle explained as he pointed to his head.
"If that's true, you took the rest of Jeremy's blood before he died didn't you? So if what you're saying is true then tell us, what is the first goal of the ANM?" Ralfie asked.
"The goal of the ANM?" Suddenly a memory from Jeremy's played in his head. It was an old memory, nearly a decade old.
Kyle told them correctly and confidently, proving that he isn't working for the HPA and that he didn't betray the ANM.
"So, do you know how get to Blutheim?" Christian asked as he sat next to Kyle.
"Yeah, I know how to get there but it's kinda far from here." Kyle said as his head bounced back in stress.
"Where exactly is this place?" Urie asked intriguingly.
"The place i have to go to isn't Blutheim but it is the entrance to get to the land where Blutheim is. I need to go to Antarctica." Kyle said as he picked his head up.
"That is pretty far…. You'll definitely need help getting there. Are you in a hurry?" Gabriel asked as he stood up and walked to the fridge.
"I was hoping to leave by tomorrow night. Seeing that, the HPA is looking for me right now as well so I want to limit my movement around the city as much as I can. Despite that I don't want to waste any time, I need to meet with Melissa before tomorrow." Kyle explained as he looked around for a clock.
"….How many liters of blood do we have in storage?" Christian asked as he waved his hand so Gabriel could toss him a drink.
"We should have about 12 thousand liters." Urie said as she saw a glass bottle fly over her head.
"Kyle." Gabriel said as if his mood changed.
"What?" Kyle asked confusingly as he couldn't look away from him.
"You can't leave the ANM, with everything you know. You're an official member and you have as much knowledge as a captain. You'll be faced as a traitor to every other branch." Gabriel said.
"What do you mean, what branch?" Kyle asked before one of Jeremy's memories played in his head.
"You know what I mean, you have a captain's memories, technically that means you are one or have the classified information that one has. If you leave you'll be labeled as a highly valuable threat or an extreme traitor to every branch of the ANM." Gabriel explained as he continued to af Kyle.
Who was in a trance as he started to remember information about the ANM. And opposite to what he was led to believe about this organization, it isn't only in New York. This is, however, the New York-HQ of the United States Branch. In total there are about 6 branches stationed in every continent except Antarctica.
"Then we'll simply create a separate squad which would allow you to go to Blutheim." Michael suddenly spoke up.
"You can do that?" Gabriel asked as he looked at him in a stunned tone.
"Of course, Kyle's goal aligned with mine in a way, so I'll give him a mission of his own which would allow him to go to Blutheim. I'll need to make it official." Michael said, oddly eager.
"I didn't charm any of them, yet Michael is willing to do this much for me. I don't understand why. Is it really because of our goals?" Kyle questioned Michael's kindness in his head, unwilling to completely trust him for some reason.
"Thank you, Michael." Christian said unable to contain his gratitude.
"You don't need to thank me. Drey and Melissa's help over these two years were great, so this is my thanks to him. He also obtained valuable information about the HPA, as well as showed great loyalty to the ANM. This is the best I could do. " Michael said as he stood up.
"Thanks, Michael." Although Kyle still couldn't trust it.
"Like I said, don't worry about it. I'm gonna contact her before it's too late." Michael said before he left the room.
"Alright, Kyle, come with me." Christian said as he headed towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Gabriel asked.
"You don't see him? He can't do anything looking like this." Christian said before he opened.
"I guess you're Casey N right, don't take too much, we still need some for future transfusion." Gabriel said as he slouched back.
Kyle followed Christian as Drey tagged along with them, leaving the other Captains in the office to talk about unrelated topics.
However as they walked through the concrete halls with the ANM insignia at every other turn, it was silent, not awkwardly fortunately. More or less they were just abiding time and using it leisurely. It was as Kyle was touring the ANM HQ. They passed multiple lounges and rooms, each filled with ANM agents.
"What is that smell?" Kyle said as a familiar smell, having been tagging along with them for a while.
"Urie thought it'll be fine to allow the agents to use certain stress relievers after missions. Excluding hard drugs and psychedelics, so this smell is a mix of marijuana, cigarettes, alcohol, etc. Each section of the HQ has a ventilation system to let out the smoke and bring in fresh air every 12 hours." Christian explained as they saw smoke fly out one of the rooms.
"There's also music." Kyle said as heard the faint sounds of melody with a small smirk.
"Yeah." Christian said as he stopped in front of a door with a door lock wheel.
"Is this it?" Kyle said as Christian turned the wheel to open the door which led to a vestibule. However as the door opened, it showed another door locking wheel on the other side.
"Yeah." Christian said as they entered the vestibule.
However before Christian walked in, Drey stepped in front of him. "Do you mind if I take it from here, I want to speak with him alone."
"No, just meet us back at the office once you're done. We can only give him about 3000 Liters." Christian said before he closed the door.
"Alright." Drey said before the door finally shut.
Once the outer door was shut, there were six locking bars that led out the sides of the door which protrudes to the wall. Three bars were fully extended after Christian turned the locking door wheel to lock the inside. Drey turned the wheel to lock the outside, then once the locking bars were fully extended, the vents started releasing cold air and drastically lowered the vestibule's temperature to the negatives.
"Were you and Melissa able to get all of your memories back?" Kyle asked as Drey turned the lock wheel off on the inner door.
"Yes." Drey said as he opened the door and held it open for Kyle.
"Great. Now would you like to leave your life of a human behind, unfortunately there is no chance of turning back into a human." Kyle explained as he hesitated to walk through the door.
"You misunderstand, I wouldn't dream of returning back to that life. I've been trying to leave that life for years and thanks to you, I will find a new way. I can't thank you enough." Drey said as he continued to hold the open.
"You already wanted to leave your life behind?" Kyle asked confusingly although grasping a thought of what he could mean.
"Yes, I will explain while I get you the blood but we can't keep it open for too long." Drey said before Kyle walked into the room.
Kyle walked into the room and immediately felt a chill breeze hit his arm, making his arm feel like a rocky road from the forming goosebumps.
The room was made of steel, all four walls were made of steel to make sure the room's temperature would remain the same. The blood was stored in bags that ranged from 3.5 ft to 2.5 ft which hung off metal rods that stretched from one end of the room to the other.
"What the hell." Kyle said as he walked into the room. "….This is their blood bank…" He said as he heard something rubbing against a surface as if someone was writing.
"Hello?" Drey said into the room.
*Clak* Something dropped seemingly instantly.
"I didn't get any blood orders yet so what are you-" Ms.Lilly suddenly paused after pushing through the blood bags. "Oh~ You're alive?" She asked, although she didn't sound interested, "Do you need some blood?"
"3000 Liters of unprocessed blood." Drey said as he looked at her long white coat that was ruined with bloodstains.
"Hmm, take these three large bags. I need to log this in." Ms.Lily said as she walked back to her desk.
"She works here now?" Kyle asked in a shocked tone.
"Yeah, the HPA witnessed one of our deals and labeled her a traitor to human society so in order for her to continue working with bodies and for the ANM to keep their best blood bank. They hired her, so she could work with the bodies inside of the base where her service is secured and protected. It works both ways." Drey said as he brought one of the large bags to Kyle.
Staring at it for a while before plopping on the floor, Kyle poked a hole into the bag with his tooth. "Where do you wanna start?" he asked before he started drinking the blood.
"I believe it's best to start from when I went AWOL." Drey said as he grabbed the two other blood bags.
