"What has to be done? What provoked you into waging a war against every kingdom on Terra Principium?" Mother asked as she kept her hands behind her back.
"…" Queen Aria stood quiet as if she was in a deep trance. Then she stood from her throne. "Princess Mnesyne, my decision is obsolete. If all you did was come here to complain, I have no time for it. Preparations for war are completed, I will meet you in the Courtyard with the rest of the Royal to head to there ." She said before she walked through the door that was next to her throne.
*Shut.* The door closed behind her, making Mother curb her anger for now.
"Tch." Mother sucked her teeth in spite before she walked away- out of the room through the other door that was on the other side of the room the throne.
Three women in white and red robes saluted Mother as she left the room, she greeted them back before they started walking with her.
"Were you able to talk to her?" Somer asked as she walked along Mother's right side.
"No, she didn't want to listen or share anything. She wants it to happen no matter what but she doesn't wanna tell anyone why, not even the Royal members." Mother said as they walked down the long hallway.
Then the thread pulled him forward, making everything dark again. Only for a moment as the white light appeared again.
It was a forest where Kyle appeared again. He didn't even look at Mother as the forest already captivated his senses. A grand beauty that wouldn't survive under mankind's environment. He couldn't believe his eyes.
*CrAak*
Mother ruthlessly treading through the forest, broke a branch as she stepped on it. Pulling Kyle away from the extraordinary sight, she looked as if she was lost in thought.
"I can't believe Mother would resort to something so stupid and drastic. What would become of the wildlife in the kingdom if we were to lose." Mother said as she made it to a river.
"Is this blood?" Kyle questioned as he got close to the river.
Mother got close to the ground as if she was going to stick her hands in it but there was a set of footprints next to her that continued on the other side. Grabbing her attention Mother crossed the river and followed the tracks.
The sounds of something scraping could be heard as she crossed the river so she followed that sound.
The smell of rot filled her nose almost as if she was walking through a mountain of trash.
"This isn't a natural smell, there's a corpse here that hasn't decomposed yet." Mother said as something started moving in the bushes that were just 15 feet ahead of her.
Mother didn't seem worried, as she cautiously approached the bush. Taking small and quiet steps, attempting to mask her presence, she stopped 5 feet away from the bush.
She looked around checking if she could smell or hear anything else, however as she looked away someone jumped out of the bush and tried to attack.
Mother was able to dodge it, and back away from the attacker.
"What the hell." Kyle said as he looked at the attacker's body.
The attacker was wearing the flesh of another vampire, however it was disgustingly sloppy as you can easily tell that it was a disguise. Nevertheless, Mother was enraged.
"What a coincidence, I never expected the 2nd princess to be so far in the forest alone." The attacker pulled the flesh from his head while broken chains swayed from his shackles.
"What is an Elven prisoner doing, in Blutheim. No, that don't matter, you killed my kin and disrespected their body." Mother said as the attacker pulled the flesh.
Revealing a bloodied face with pointy ears protruding from long blonde hair.
"This stupid and disgusting vampire stood no chance against me. And now the princess of such filth is in front me. I'll be pardoned if I bring back your head." He said as he pulled a knife from his back.
"Filth? Execute yourself." Mother said as she stared into his eyes.
"What?" The attacker said oddly confused.
"I said to run that blade right through your tongue." Mother's eyes glowed brightly.
"What?" His hand started raising the blade to his mouth. "What the hell! Stop it!" He panicked as he tried to stop his hand.
"You removed the flesh from his corpse. The disdain for the dead will not be tolerated on these lands." Mother said as she watched him stab his tongue. "Follow me." She let the attacker keep his consciousness as they walked back to the river.
He had no control over his body, the pain filled wailing he let out consistently.
They finally made it back to the river.
"Kill him." Mother said before Ellen suddenly jumped out of the tree to cut the attacker's head off. His head fell into the river before Ellen pushed his body in.
"Are you alright, my lady?" Ellen as she bowed her head.
"I'm fine now." Mother said although she still seemed to be lost in thought as she watched the body disappear into the river.
Kyle was pulled into the dark again, going over a week ahead from that day.
It was raining and Blutheim's army had already marched out of the Kingdom and went on to battle in the war against the other Kingdom's with Queen Aria leading the front.
"They must be her siblings, the genes must be god-like." Kyle thought as he saw his Mother standing next to four other vampires who were in the same royal attire.
"Mnesyne what's on your mind? You seem oddly distracted." The 1st Princess Aphresia said as she walked past the 1st Prince.
"She's been like that since the war was announced. Arguing with Mom every other week." 1st Prince Kraios said as he continued to look forwards at the platoon of soldiers below them.
They were in a large open area, in the yard of the castle. The platoon of soldiers were standing in the garden, waiting with the royals who were on top of the pearly white perron. Behind them were two glass doors that led into the great chamber of the castle.
"She's braver than a lot of us. Did Mother tell you why she waged war on the Kingdoms of Terra Principium?" Princess Aphresia asked as she moved a bit closer.
"No, she didn't tell me a thing." Mother said as she looked at her.
"Did you know that every species besides ours is depraved?" Princess Aphresia said as she looked at her other siblings.
"What?" Prince Kraios said confusingly as he wasn't listening.
"All of you listen up. This is a very important lesson coming from your Eldest." Princess Aphresia said as she made sure her siblings were listening.
"Every kingdom has its own level of depravity except Blutheim; this is a fact, not biased. Terra Principium is home to four kingdoms, each home to four of the higher intelligent species such as the Vampires, Elves, Gigantes, and DwarfKind. Unlike the other three, Vampires live off of blood. You would assume that we'd take the blood of the other races whenever we want but no that isn't the case because we don't need to feed off their blood because of the crimson river so we it is a rule that we only feed on the blood that came from Blutheim unless needed. Every Kingdom is aware of this but the thing that starts them is the fear that we may decide to feed on them. So they tend to show they might whenever they can, even now although it's rare those who travel seldomly come back and Mother can't tell if there's anyone out there despite having the crown. We aren't aware of this because we don't oftenly deal with citizens or the other kingdoms as much as the Queen does. That occurs between other Kingdoms as well but this kingdom is not. We are the fauna of life, we are all connected like roots and the Queen knows of everyone in the Blutheim thanks to the crown. Our laws are set in blood. However those who are disconnected do not have to follow the laws and the blessed are above it. But since Mother is so reticent, we can't exactly say she is wrong." Princess Aphresia spoke with a beautiful and calm tone, she gave Mother an ease of understanding.
Then he was pulled again. Nearly a week later, it was in the middle of the night. It was raining heavily, half of the guards were asleep in tents while the others kept watch. Prince Kraios and his retainers kept watch outside while Mother and her other siblings were resting in the great chamber.
"How is this a part of Mother's memory when she's asleep?" Kyle questioned as he was standing next to Prince Kraios.
"The citizens have already evacuated further into Blutheim and our soldiers are trained to fight any soldier, we are trained as well. Yet, I still feel uneasy." Prince Kraios said as he looked at all the soldiers and tents.
Blutheim was the only entrance into the lands and was located in the North West region, a 24 meter polished stone wall was built acting as a barrier.
"We won't know a thing unless we get attacked or the Queen comes back. Nonetheless you mustn't let your guard down." Oracle said as she tried to reassure him.
"Right, I-" Prince Kraios saw it in the corner of his eyes.
A large boulder came flying from outside the Kingdom's walls, hitting one of the castle towers.
Prince Kraios retainers immediately rushed to his side and protected him from the falling debris with their shields.
Just as it stopped and they lowered their shields, another boulder smashed into the Kingdom's wall. Creating a hole large to fit three horse- carriages. Then an elite Elven soldier appeared from the flying rubble and rushed Prince Kraios, hoping he would be caught by surprise.
However Prince Kraios qucickly deflected their attack with his armor, and slipped under his arm to land a punch directly on Elf's armor. Prince put a large dent in the armor, making the elf spit up blood.
Then another elite Elven soldier appeared, trying to attack Prince but his retainers protected him with the shield.
More Elite soldiers appeared, they were the enemy Army's advance party, the Prince and his retainer knew what this meant.
"Damn it, we need to get the soldiers and the royals up." Prince Kraios said thought as he tried to kill the Elven Soldier.
Another Elite soldier came and pulled the soldier away from Prince Kraios' attack.
His blood boiling because of the damage and the thought of his Mogher losing, most likely dead. He called for his soldiers to stand on the feet and for his sibling to fight alongside him to protect their Kingdom. "Get Up!" His eyes glowed like a torch.
"They aren't just Royalty, they are the Kingdom's top soldiers, a last resort. The first Prince's armor gauntlets are just as strong and sharp and other weapons to match his strength. Do not get hit-" The Elite soldier suddenly dodge Prince Kraios' attack.
"First Prince Hercule." Prince Kraios said in surprise. "Leave him to me." He told his retainers before he rushed him.
Hercule immediately pulled a large swords from his back and tried to cut through the Prince, however he missed. Prince Kraios jumped over the blade, and used his hand to gain momentum. And landed a kick right on Hercule's chest.
Send Hercule back a few meters away- landing on his back, Prince Kraios didn't stop. He rushed him again, almost as if he was skipping at an incredible speed. He tried to stomp on Hercule's heads but he rolled out of the way and jumped back on his feet.
Hercule's was able to recover quickly and attacked Prince Kraios just as he rushed him. Prince Kraios tried to block his attack, but it pushed him into the cobblestone railing.
Hercule's rushed in front of him and tried to cut through his head while he was still down. However Prince Kraios caught the blade just as it touched his hair. "GET UP!" His voice ringed throughout all of the vampires in the Kingdom.
"What the hell?" Kyle said as his ear started ringing.
Then the great chamber's glass door opened. The second Prince Aers quickly answered his elder brother's calls and landed a hit on Hercule's side with a war hammer.
