Abigail rushed to the bathroom to wash her face, before going back to the living room. She was so upset she didn't know how to calm herself, but she didn't want Enoch to see her in that sate. Knowing her mother might continue with their incomplete discussion, or might as well say something to Enoch, she decided on leaving the house before that happens.
She stormed into the living room in a hurry, not knowing her father was having a word with Enoch. "We are leaving now." She said as she picked her hand bag from the sofa where she had left it earlier, not caring to see who was there with Enoch.
"Why do you look so angry? What happened to your hand? Enoch asked as he stood to hold Abigail's injured hand, but she had no intentions of answering him.
"And may I know why you are leaving without saying anything to me." She heard her father's cold voice which caused her to lower her head.
"I just want to leave." She replied slowly, trying to be calm as she stepped away from Enoch.
"You have a lot to explain to me. To my study room now." Mr Nyimbo said strictly, pointing towards his study as he stood up and Abigail turned quietly to go in there.
Enoch stared at the cold man in front of him, not understanding why he was so strict with Abigail even after all that he told him. He was beginning to get angry and needed fresh air to calm down, if not, the volcano in him might irrupt.
"Sir, please excuse me, I'll look for Gideon." Enoch said to Mr Nyimbo, trying to look calm.
" There's a garden behind the house, you might find him there." Mr Nyimbo said and left for his study.
Enoch stepped out of the living room and went straight to the backyard of the house where Mr Nyimbo had told him about. He was fuming with anger for seeing Abigail in the state she was and couldn't do anything about it. After pacing for a while, he spotted a tin can on the grassy floor and kicked it hard, raining all his anger on it.
"Ahwge! That hurt." A melodious female voice said, which got Enoch's attention.
Lifting his head, Enoch's sight was welcomed by a beautiful dark skin lady, squatting and holding on to her left leg at the entrance to the backyard. Her black hair was held up in a ponytail and her feet were covered in shoes as she was wearing a white and ash uniform. She lifted her head and her dark eyes meet with that of Enoch's.
"Am so sorry, hope I didn't hurt you? What are you doing here?" Enoch asked, forgetting where he was.
"I should be asking you that, this is my house. Who are you by the way." The lady asked.
" Ahh, sorry am Enoch, am here with Abigail, you might be her sister?" Enoch replied as he was back to his charming self.
" Hi there, I'm Dorcas, my sister didn't say you were this handsome." The lady replied as she stood up, and for the first time, Enoch blushed to a lady's complement.
" Maybe am not as handsome to her as you see me." He replied shortly.
" Where is my sister? Why are you here alone?" Dorcas asked.
" I came out to get fresh air, and also look for a man I come with." Enoch replied, staring into the dark eyes of the lady.
" I think I saw a man at the entrance to the house, he might be the one you are looking for." Dorcas replied with a smile.
" I'll be glad if you can take me there." He asked so charmingly Dorcas couldn't refuse to take him.

Abigail sat silently as she stared at her injured hand, waiting for what is to come, she was used to her father shouting on her and she knew today won't be any different. She wanted to escape from it, not for her sake, but to make sure Enoch doesn't see her being insulted by her parents.
"What is going on between you and Edward? She heard her father's cold voice asking.
"Nothing is going on, because it over between us. I don't want to be with him and my decision is final." She replied as a matter of factly.
" And why is that?" Mr Nyimbo asked again, a bit calmer now.
" Elder, that man is not who you think he is. He disappeared after what he did to me, and even had the gust to say he's coming back, I can't be with him." Abigail replied sadly.
" That was your fault and I don't expect you to blame him." Mr Nyimbo said.
" Elder, was it my fault I spent a night with the man you said was my husband, after getting engaged to him, or that he forced himself on me?" Abigail said angrily as tears filled her eyes, remembering what happened to her on the very day she was engaged to Edward.
.... Flashback...
eighteen years old Abigail was beautifully dressed in a traditional clothing, which marched with that of a twenty years old man standing next to her as her father was standing in front of them, adorned in beautiful Ghana kenty clothes. She looked happy but a bit scared as well, but the man besides her was the happiest of all the people around.
"He's your husband now, and you have to respect him just like how you respect me." Abigail's father said.
She nodded and the man besides her held her by the shoulder and pulled her to himself. " I know she'll be a good girl. I can't wait till when we do the white wedding." The man said as he looked at Abigail's shy and timid figure.
"I'll like to say goodbye to the guest before they leave." Abigail said with her head bowed, and both the man and her father gave her permission to go.
A year ago, she had met Edward thanks to her friends, Amanda, and today she is engaged to be married to him. She couldn't thank her friend enough, which is why she wanted to say goodbye to her properly. "Amanda! Amanda wait." She shouted as she saw her friend amidst some guest, leaving her father's compound as the ceremony was over.
"I'll like you to be my bridesmaid when I get married to Edward, you know you are the reason am with him now, and that's the only way I can say thank you." she said happily to the brown haired girl, who was a year older than her.
"I'll be glad to, but for today please enjoy your day, I'll see you later." The dark skin girl said with a bit of envy in her brown eyes and left, but Abigail didn't think much about it.
She run back to her room and changed into something else as Edward had promised to take her out. She said goodbye to her family and went with Edward, to enjoy her day as her friend had advice.
She thought Edward was taking her to a restaurant or something, but he took her to the hotel he had been staying instead. Since he was practically her husband, Abigail didn't think bad about it and entered his room for the first time as he asked.
She eat and enjoyed the champagne with Edward, but after taking just a glass of wine, she felt dizzy and slept off in his arms. She waked up the next day feeling drained and weak. She sat up on the bed and found out she was naked and that got her scared.
She flipped her fingers down her hunnypot and to her surprise, she saw blood which showed she was devirginized by Edward. Out of fright, she waked the man besides her and asked what happened, but she wished she didn't bo so. "Eddy, get up, what did you do? Am bleeding." She said in fright.
" Come on, that might be because you were still a virgin, I think we should do it one more time to stop it." He replied with a hoarse voice as he went on top of her.
" No we can't do this, we aren't married yet." She said as she tried to struggle.
" But we already did it and I enjoyed it. Moreover am like your husband now, remember your father's word to respect me as one." He said as he forced his manhood inside her, not minding the fact that she was bleeding.
" Please don't do this, Elder will kill me if he finds out, please Eddy please." She pleaded, but all her pleaded went into one ear and came out through another.
She got back to the house feeling exhausted and dirty, even though she took her bath for hours at Edward's hotel room. She locked herself in her room and stayed in her bathroom for hours, trying to wash the dirt of, but no amount of water nor soap could help her.
She went back to Edward's hotel room in the evening since she didn't hear from him the whole day, but to her shock, a vacant room was what she found. She searched through the room, thinking Edward might have left her a note telling her where she went, and she surely found one, but not what she expected.
"Thanks for being my friend but it ends here, because I can't rent my guy to you anymore. We are out of the country if you are reading this later, and I guess you won't think of looking for us. The room has few days more for the rent to expire, you can stay and cry as much as you want. Never your friend, Amanda."
It took Abigail a whole year to get over her broken hearts, not because she loved Edward, but she felt cheated and stupid. She felt used and dumped, and at times she felt like ending her life to end the pain she was feeling.
.... End of flashback....
"Since when did you learn to talk like that to me." Mr Nyimbo said coldly as he felt Abigail raising her voice at him was disrespectful.
"Non of this was my fault but his, yet, all you see is the fact that I let him get his way." Abigail said in tears.
