The sun was on the rise over a large house. The contents of the house were far more than a normal home. This house belongs to a pack of wolves, the pack house. The Alpha of the house, Mark, was waking up from his night's rest. He lived on the main floor of the pack house. The very top floor of the house was for the wolves that have small children and older adults. Mark is only 3 decades old and was the brains behind the pack house. He made changes after his father stepped down as Alpha. Mark wanted the weak to move to the top floor of the house so they can be protected if anything tried to attack them. His pack is a splinter group. During an invasion a long time ago, all the wolves were near the same spot. So it was advised that there will be a pack in every town in Minnesota, Mark not really caring for the Aldrich sect. There is nothing really there. It was just a small town with nothing to do. Sure at night he chased deer and other animals, but that's all there was to do. Mark was going out today to follow up on some news that one of the warriors addressed to his Beta. That there was a witch and possibly a vampire living together in the old farmhouse down the road. Mark is your typical Wolfie heart throb, if a neck-bead had to describe him, they would call him 'Thunder-cock'. Mark had short, fire red hair, very muscular, and attractive. He has green eyes that look like the color of moss. His height is 6'5", his jaw and cheekbones are kinda large, and he has a prominent brow. Lady wolves always want his attention, but Mark would not give the lady's in his pack what they want from him. He would rather play with the lady wolves from a different pack than his own. That way when he finds his Luna there wouldn't be any fighting. Ron went to Mark's door and knocked. Ron is Mark's Beta. He looks like Mark. But Ron is blonde with brown eyes. He is the same height as Mark.
Ron: Mark bro, are you ready yet? *Yelling at the door*
Mark: Almost, let me get my pants on. *yelling from behind the closed door*.
Mark got his clothes on and headed out the door of his room. Mark is a little upset that he hasn't found his mate yet. Ron found his mate when he was 18. Most of the male wolves found their mate at 18 or 19. But Mark is 30 and still hasn't found him yet. He is trying to find his Luna so his pack can be complete. Mark and Ron walked down the road to the little farmhouse that was nestled behind the trees. They both could smell a witch and a vampire. This confuses them, for vampires and witches don't really get along. But Vampires don't really get along with anyone. They walked up the driveway and were looking around.
Unknown voice: bark... bark.
They looked around as to see who was barking at them.
Unknown voice: That's not right….. moo. Damn it! Meow, that's it.
Mark and Ron looked everywhere. The only thing they saw was a black cat in the window of the small house. The cat hunched its back and was hissing and going back and forth on the windowsill until it fell off.
Unknown voice: Intruders, intruders.
Mark and Ron were going to shift, but they didn't dare yet. They didn't smell a human, but they weren't going to risk it. They walked up to the door and knocked.
Unknown voice: Nobody home.
Mark (Alpha voice): We know someone is here. You are talking to us right now.
Unknown voice (trying to match manliness): I said no one is home. It's time for you wolfies to leave!
Mark and Ron looked at each other. Mark and Ron have agreed in mind-link to come back just at nightfall. They left the little house; Mark and Ron saw the cat get back into the window; they are thinking that there is a male and a female living here. Mark and Ron walked back down to the pack house and ordered one of the warriors to go stand guard, that if anyone leaves the house to let them know. They don't really want witches around the pack house. Witches are known to be wicked. Mark wants to keep his pack safe at all cost, they don't really trust vampires either. But if the Vampires only kill animals and evil people, then they will not be harmed. They rolled up to the pack house, and a warrior went running off in his wolf form to keep watch over the little farmhouse. Mark kept busy for the rest of the day, making decisions for the pack. Stopping fights and overlooking the betterment of the pack. When the sun started to set, Mark and Ron met up and headed back to the little farmhouse. They walked back up the driveway and to the door. Mark raised his hand to knock when the door swung open. Both Ron and Mark jumped and looked at the door. There stood Jade, looking at them with a scowl on her face. Jade not saying a word and just waiting for her uninvited guest to say their peace and leave.
Ron: Hello?
Jade turned her venomous red eyes on to Ron. The air was sour with rage.
Mark (whispered): Mate?
Jade and Ron both whipped their heads to Mark.
Jade (venomously cold): What are you doing here?
Ron: We just needed to see who is in our territory. May we come in?
Jade looked at the wolves in front of her and turned around and walked into the house. Mark and Ron followed her into the house. They looked around. They saw all the new things in the house. There on the couch was the black cat just watching them, the TV was on and there was a cartoon movie on. Mark kept trying to figure out why his wolf called this vampire his mate.
Ron: Are you and the pet the only ones living here?
Jade (coldly): Yes.
Ron: We know that there is a witch that lives here as well. We can smell it.
Jade (Coldly): That's me, wolf face. Now tell me what you want so you can leave.
Ron looked at the Alpha to start talking, but Mark was just entranced by the Vampire.
Ron (trying to act strong): We don't want trouble in our territory. We don't want the unwanted death of innocent people. We prefer not to have a witch in our territory.
Jade (cold): Is that all? Can you leave now?
Ron was going to speak when they heard a beeping sound. Jade looked at the cat and then left to the kitchen. They are confused because vampires don't eat actual food. They saw the small vampire girl come out of the kitchen with a plate that had two cut in half hot pockets. She placed it next to the cat on the couch.
Jade (coldly): Is there more?
Mark and Ron saw the cat pick up one half of the hot pocket in his paws and was blowing on it. He was acting like a human and not a cat. They both looked at each other. They now believe that Jade cast a spell and that this cat was really a human trapped. Jade growing more and more irritated at the guests that won't leave.
Jade (anger): What do you want!
Mark: What is going on here?
Jade (anger): What do you mean? Nothing is 'going on'. Now tell me what you are doing here and then leave!
Mark (using Alpha voice): Why did you come here? What are your plans?
Jade (hot with anger): To live, what else do you think? Have I done anything to you or your stupid mutt pack? That will be a no, I feed in other towns. I do not feed on children or people that have done nothing that bad. I feed on pedophiles, women betters, and rapists. The scum of the earth is what I feed on. I just want to be alone and be left alone. Now if you don't mind, my cat needs to finish his supper and watch his movie.
Mark: We will be keeping an eye on you.
Mark finally said.
Jade (fake happiness): Oh really, what joy. (coldly) Now leave.
