After asking the adventurers from village for help and arriving at the forest, it turns out that Reeve's father is gone. Reeve was so devastated to see that he couldn't do anything, not even save his own father.
His father's body was brought home when his mother's cries broke out. She hugged the cold, lifeless body as she sobbed.
Reeve could not do anything; he knew his mother was sorrowful, especially since everything happened so suddenly.
Reeve moved closer to his mother, holding her shoulders to try and encourage her. The mother realized this and turned to hug Reeve.
"What happened, Reeve?" his mother asked as she continued to cry, her voice hoarse.
Reeve said nothing as he was at a loss for words, and to be honest, he was at a loss to tell his mother what had happened.
Shortly afterward, his father's body was cleaned up by some of the villagers and buried as usual, witnessed by many people.
A few weeks later, the mother didn't seem to be doing so well when Reeve noticed his mother looked thin and unusual.
"Are you okay, Mom?" asked Reeve as he noticed her pale face while preparing food.
"I'm fine," she replied, holding back a dry cough that seemed to suffocate her chest.
Reeve knew his mother wasn't well, although she always lied about it.
"Is there anything Reeve can do to help?" Reeve asked again to reassure his mother.
"Can you help me find some firewood? I'm running out of firewood to cook with," the mother said gently as she touched Reeve's cheek.
Reeve smiled and walked away to look for firewood at the forest's edge. Usually, his father looked for firewood, but now that he was gone, it was Reeve's job.
After finishing looking for firewood, Reeve returned home, but when he arrived, there was Luccy there accompanying his mother, who was lying down.
"What's wrong with my mom, Luccy?" asked Reeve, confused.
"I found your mother lying in the kitchen when I delivered your things. It looks like your mother is not quite okay." Luccy told Reeve, looking a little worried.
Reeve approached his mother, holding her palm while touching her face slowly; she was unconscious.
Seeing that situation, Reeve's desire to be strong is getting stronger; there are many reasons besides protecting himself. Another reason is for the sake of his mother.
Since then, his mother had fallen ill and could hardly do anything; moving from her bed was even quite difficult. Everything, including homework, Reeve took care of himself.
In between taking care of everything, he also did not forget to train because he was determined to continue getting stronger and become an adventurer one day.
Now after the death of his father, he began to realize that if he was weak, let alone protect others he cared about. He was even unable to defend himself.

Three years later, Reeve is now 16 years old.
In these 3 years of training, Reeve's abilities and strength have grown considerably compared to that day.
This time, he intended to become an adventurer. Reeve also told his friends about his intention.
"Are you sure about that?" asked Luccy at Reeve's words.
"Very sure. There's not much to do in the village anyway; maybe after I become an adventurer, I can make more money and cure my mother," Reeve replied confidently.
"Hoho, so that's why you've been training so intensely for the past three years, huh?" said Gifford, slightly teasing Reeve.
"Hhhmm... so that's it." Hakan also muttered.
Gifford, Hakan, and Lucy then looked at each other at what Reeve had just said. Then they agreed that they would also become adventurers.
On the day Reeve and the others were to go outside the village to register as adventurers, Reeve first said goodbye to his mother.
"Mother, Reeve will be going out of the village for some time," Reeve said, touching his mother's body.
"Where are you going?" Asked his mother, a bit worried because it was so sudden. "Will it be long?"
Reeve shook his head softly, "No, I think it will only be a few days. After Reeve leaves, Luccy's mother will take care of mother for a while."
After saying that, Reeve walked away and met his friends. They then went to the nearest town to register as an adventurer in one of the guilds.
In short, they registered and then took the entrance test. The guild entrance test results would be confirmed the next day, so they stayed overnight at an inn in that town.
The next day arrived. Reeve and his friends returned to the guild to collect their adventurer test results. They all passed the test and officially became adventurers.
"Heehh... not bad at all Hakan." Reeve was seen praising Hakan after he saw the score for the agility level; Hakan had a fairly high score. "When you first met me, you were scared to death when you saw a monster."
"Reeve, you're so rude, right? That was back then." Hakan's reply was a bit annoyed, but his tone showed a hint of pride. "In these three years, you're not the only one who's improved, Reeve."
"Well, if he doesn't improve, we'll just tie him up and throw him to the monsters as bait," Gifford responded.
"Gifford, you bastard." Hakan glanced at Gifford angrily.
"Hahaha..." Luccy also laughed as she saw the three arguing.
Once back in the village, Reeve headed straight home to give his mother the good news. Once at home, he searched for his mother's whereabouts, but she was not there, including in the place where she usually lay in bed with the sick.
"Reeve..." called a middle-aged woman from outside the door.
Reeve turned his head to see Luccy's mother there, holding back awkwardness and confusion.
"Where is my Mother, Auntie?" asked Reeve curiously.
Mrs. Luccy could only shake her head at the question.
"Your mother... she died one day after you left." Mrs. Luccy said in a soft voice.
Reeve immediately looked down sluggishly and felt gloomy. He tried to hold back the tears that seemed to start flowing out.

More than seven years have passed since then. The level of Reeve and his friends had grown; they had repeatedly taken quests and become a party.
This year was exactly 10 years after the monster outbreak from the Black Forest. This means that this year the monster outbreak will also occur again.
That day, right after they returned from a quest, they found that the monster outbreak had occurred and so many monsters were attacking the Lizhi Village.
Reeve and others also tried to help with all their might because they were one of the adventurers in the village.
However, the monsters were numerous, and they were already starting to look overwhelmed because Reeve and his friends had just returned from a quest. In addition, it was raining heavily.
When Reeve and Luccy were fighting one of the big and strong monsters, Luccy was hit by a fatal attack and had to fall down with a full-body wound.
Fortunately, Hakan and Gifford quickly came to help, and they then defeated the monster. Reeve immediately embraced Luccy's half-body while holding her hand.
"Calm down, Luccy, take a strong breath. Help will come soon," Reeve lied; he tried to calm Luccy.
Luccy looked silent; her face had started to pale, she tried to smile at Reeve, and soon she closed her eyes, and her hand that had held Reeve fell limply.
"Luccy, wake up, Luccy, wake up." Reeve panicked, trying to wake Luccy, but it didn't work. "Luccy!!!"
Reeve shouted so loudly that it shook the surroundings; everyone, including the monsters, could definitely hear it. After that, it rained even harder as the cloud was saddened too by Luccy's death.
