Chapter 12 - Chapter 13

Tanya was taking down one person after the next with her agile movements.

Her small size made it easy to gain cover using her opponent's size against them causing them to block the view of their allies.

Blind spots were created when she got in close after sidestepping or ducking under a grab, punch, or swing of a weapon.

Most of the thugs were unarmed while others had wooden sticks or sharp blades.

Her daggers were unsheathed in a single moment with practiced ease as she stabbed or slashed at their lower bodies incapacitating them before jumping away when they were falling.

She used the small window of opportunity to close with distance with another.

Someone came from behind to grab her causing her to roll out of the way and send a backward swipe toward their hand.

Another thug panicked and saw how they were not going to come out of it without making some smarter decisions.

They changed their target going to use the residents nearby as hostages but when they moved, a stinging pain hit their body.

The dagger had been thrown at them when they took their attention away from Tanya.

Tanya moved in to retrieve the dagger before making it so that they posed no more of a danger.

Bodies littered the streets showing the full display of a lone child. Meanwhile, on the wall, a figure had been overlooking everything from another vantage point.

It was Captain Rich who held a transponder snail to his mouth. "Move in."

After his orders, many armed soldiers in matching outfits came out from many different locations while he went to where the guards were gathered.

He arrived in front of the intimidating man who was in charge of the group tasked to protect the wall. "You have failed in your duties. All of you will be joining me for an investigation and how this ends depends on how cooperative you are."

Captain Rich sighed. 'I did not think that it would be this bad... no, if what Tanya had written is true then this could be much worse than something like this. To think that a small child knows more than many adults...'
