In an underground interrogation room, one person after another was brought in before coming out with pale faces full of despair.
Tanya and Captain Rich were both inside with a new entry who sat there trying to hide their nervousness.
Tanya approached looking innocent as she smiled toward them. "I know you from the time we have worked together so I know that you did not mean to get involved with this kind of thing. Give us what we need and maybe we can cut a deal for you."
She continued to play the role of the good cop using her familiarity with them while Captain Rich played the bad cop role. "You do not know how big this is. You will not get away with this! We have more than enough to make your life hell!"
They already got enough after the recent arrests allowed them to search into the lives of each person and to look into the city guard posts in the area.
The log books showed signs of being double booked providing fake tampered information of everything that was sent to the higher-ups.
Some other's lives were looked into closely revealing that some had properties and hidden away stashes of money that were not possible to have with their salaries.
There were some other incriminating documents found hidden away helping to reveal a deeper trail than what was expected.
The prisoner being interrogated soon began to crack like the others turning on each other and revealing what they knew. "I do not know who is behind it all. We just took the money and were told to look the other way. Look into the gangs more and you will be able to find something more useful.
Those captured are nobodies but those above them are more troublesome to deal with and supposedly have big connections that let them believe they are untouchable."
Captain Rich coldly responded. "What you have given me is just what the others have said. Sorry, but this is not enough to help you."
Tanya changed from her friendly and childish act to being colder. "Hah.. another useless one."
Those with deeper crimes were to be jailed, others were warned or fired.
