CHAPTER 10: FIRST QUARREL I
James walked through the doors of the company and into his private elevator. Anyone that saw him smartly avoided him once they noticed his mood.
Jared and Angelo walked silently beside him like they were walking on a glass that will shatter quickly once added a little pressure. Their footsteps were very light so he would not have a cause to complain.
As soon as they stepped out of the elevator James glared at them and questioned wiyh a straight face, "why are you walking like ghosts behind me? The both of you get out of my back now or walk properly."
Angelo and Jared: .....!
He resumed walking and they started walking alongside him again.
"Jared you're walking too noisily James said again, in fact, go to your office.'
'Just kill me now' Jared thought as his brother glared at him again.
"You too," James said turning to glare at Angelo.
He got into his office and finally vented his anger on the things on his table. He pulled everything down ranging from laptop, land line phone, his tablets and few papers but it still wasn't enough.
He sat back down and tried breathing to calm himself. They weren't even married for long and she was already driving him this crazy, he wondered what will happen in the future.
An hour later, Angelo went in to remind his boss of his meeting and the scene that he met left him almost peeing in his pants. He looked at his boss and noticed that the scowl on his face had gotten even worse he swallowed and opened his mouth shakily.
Before he could say anything James cast his frosty gaze on him and said quietly "get someone to clean this place up."
Angelo nodded and quickly left the office. James knew why his secretary came so he stood up, grabbed his jacket and went for his meeting.
Even said meeting, he made the directors suffer the brunt of his anger. He checked on everything and corrected every single mistake and insulted the ones he could with his wicked tongue.
Throughout the day, the mood in the whole stone group company was tense, quiet and fearful with everyone working on tenterhooks and careful not to make any mistake.
James even went as far as doing routine checks on each department, something he never did before.
The first department he entered he mistakenly came across a woman on the phone saying i love you to the person on the other end he immediately hit his hands on the table and glared at the woman. The woman quickly jumped up as her phone fell to the floor.
James turned to his brother and bellowed at him first because he was the company's first and main Manager,
"Jared is this the kind of people you train here?" Jared bent his head and glared at the woman after being shouted on for the umpteenth time that day. So much for being careful he thought.
James turned his attention back to the woman "maybe you should go home and be with your lover and have many kids since you didn't know you came here to work."
The woman screamed in her mind saying it was her son but of course she didn't have the guts to say it out she could only nod her head and scurry out of the office.
Everyone had it hot because the boss was in a bad mood while the real culprit relaxed at home.
If only Jared had any idea what made his brother like this early in the morning, he would have cussed the person 10 times over and even planned evil for them.

Diana came out of the bathroom and went downstairs. When she asked about James she was told he had gone to work. She sat down to a breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast with a cup of tea to compliment.
After her breakfast, Diana went into her office and shut herself in. She tried to work but found out she couldn't.
Earlier she had given herself and her assistant a week off because of her wedding and they had put all other engagement on hold till she came back so she didn't have to go out today except shop for a few things she will be needing but no matter what she couldn't help thinking back to how James had walked out on her this morning, he was that angry. She tried to think of a reason but everytime she came up blank.
After trying to work for a while and couldn't, Diana gave up entirely on the whole process and relaxed her back on the sofa in her office. She decided to close her eyes and rest for awhile.
The moment she closed her eyes for like 10minutes, memories of the previous night came flooding back to her.
Diana immediately opened her eyes and panicked. Everything was her fucking fault and she had even insulted him last night and this morning no wonder he had asked her if she watched a lot of action movies she had done it again and this time it wasn't to her siblings it was to her husband and even blamed him for it.
Diana hit her hands hard on her forehead and cussed at herself a thousand times over. She had better make this right or else she might not have a home or husband to call hers by the time he returned and looked vengeful. She wouldn't put it past him.
Diana got up and went to their room. She changed into a simple dress of blue tight jeans and baggy polo that got just below her laps she put on her boots and face cap and headed downstairs.
When she came down, she saw Nicodemus coming out of the kitchen
"Uhm Uncle Nic,"
Nicodemus looked up at her and nearly tripped in his steps. No lady from his bosses home ever dared to dress like a boy hence why he asked. "Ma'am do you intend to go out that way?" Nicodemus said taking one good look at her again from head to toe.
Diana followed his gaze and looked back up at him as she nooded. "Yes uncle Nik".
'Oh you child, Nicodemus thought in his mind your husband had better not catch you like this'. Nicodemus only nodded sadly at her reply and added "you can call me just 'Nic' Maam."
"Why? You are old enough to be my Dad."
When he wanted to reply, she held up her hand "forget it, i will call you whatever i want". Nicodemus nodded again and bit his tongue.
"Uhm Mr Alfred said Antonio will drive you wherever you want to go. I will get him to prepare the car".
"Okay. Thanks Uncle Nick, but before you go you can call him 'my husband' instead of just 'Mr Alfred' incase of next time and tell the other servants too."
"Alright Ma'am" Nicodemus nodded again.
"Another quick question. Did he have breakfast before leaving?"
"No Maam."
"Ok uncle Nik, you can cut it with the Ma'am."
"Never Ma'am. Your husband will have me lose my job if that ever happens."
Diana nodded. "Alright then i understand. Uncle Nik you've known my husband for a while now, what does he like i mean his preference she emphasized further."
"No idea Ma'am" Nicodemus shook his head sadly. "Your husband is a very private man and before now he doesn't talk to any of the servants he just speaks with me directly until yesterday when he told one of the maids to get you dinner its only his brother and secretary that will know more about him and his close friends."
Diana realized then that she didn't even really know any of them. She made a note to get to know everyone around him.
Diana went back to their room and looked into his closet, she noticed that he already had everything so what could she possibly get for him that he would really cherish. She went back down again and Nicodemus told her that the car was ready. Diana went out of the house and into the Mercedes Benz Cabriolet that was parked in front of the building.
As she entered, Antonio gave a slight bow and shut the door behind her. He too was surprised at the way she decided to dress but he didn't comment he entered the car and asked her where they were going.
"Where to Ma'am?"
'To any shopping mall with the best stuffs," Diana said and laid back on the sofa of the car.
