(Axel's POV)
I feel a pang of guilt as I am deceiving Aana. time has warped her memories and that's why she thinks that I am her childhood best friend, the only person she can trust in this chaotic world. She trusts me in this timeline, even though I am a half-human half-undead I had feelings for her in every timeline. I was supposed to kill her, but she always saw me as her enemy and fought back. Except in this timeline, where she blindly follows me. I have to find a way to kill Percy, for whom she sacrificed her life in every timeline. I have to stop Oliver from finding her too. He is the head of the research facility that experiments on people with special powers, who have latent abilities that could change the world. He wants to kill Aana before she awakens her full potential. I know this because I have lived through countless timelines, trying to change the outcome. I grab my bike and ride towards Oliver's camp, where he keeps the survivors as lab rats in cages. If they disobey or try to escape, he throws them into the undead's cage, where they are torn apart by the hungry monsters. I will warn him to stay away from Aana and let me handle this my way.
as I reached the camp I hid behind a tree cause I didn't want anyone to know I had any kind of connection with Dr Oliver de vil I could see from behind the tree. Clad in a white coat, he tossed chunks of flesh to the ravenous zombies behind the bars. His hazel eyes gleamed behind his spectacles as he watched them tear apart their prey. He didn't care that some of the victims were still alive, or that they were fellow humans. He didn't care that some of them were children, crying for mercy. He was Dr Oliver de Vil, the government's top scientist and the world's most brilliant mind. But he was also the most heartless man alive, a monster who experimented on the undead and the living alike. He wanted to find out what made them tick, what triggered their hunger, and what could make them stronger or weaker. He injected them with chemicals, exposed them to radiation, cut them open and stitched them back together. He had no ethics, no morals, no compassion. He was obsessed with his research, and nothing else mattered to him.
I saw some new survivors being dragged into the facility. They were destined to become Dr Oliver's guinea pigs, locked up in cages like animals. I wondered how he could be so heartless. He and I were supposed to be partners, working for the Time to wipe out humanity and end the world. We had killed many people who were trying to stop us, including Aana and her friends in past timelines. But I never liked him, and he hated me too. He knew he was no match for me since I was half-undead and had enhanced abilities. I decided to take advantage of his absence and free the survivors. I killed the guards and went into his lab to look for more victims. There, I found something shocking. On his table, there were photos and files of Aana and her friends, detailing their powers and abilities. He had gone after them, intending to capture and kill them. I had to stop him. I ran as fast as I could to Aana's house, avoiding the hordes of unnatural undead that roamed the streets. I climbed up the balcony and entered through the window. They were all there, surprised to see me. A familiar-looking puppy barked at me, but I ignored it. I told them that Oliver was coming for them and that they had to leave immediately. I offered to distract him while they escaped. It would be easy for me.
Aana opposed my plan and exclaimed, "But why should we run? We didn't do anything wrong." I told them about the ruthless and inhuman Dr Oliver de Vil, who experimented on humans and the undead without mercy. They were horrified to hear that. They all closed their eyes and prayed to God fervently. I, being an atheist, didn't join them. Just then, suddenly, a dark and mysterious black hole appeared in front of us and the fluffy white puppy leaped into it fearlessly. Aana too ran behind him impulsively. Hannah grabbed her arm and warned her that it was too risky, but she wouldn't listen. We could hear the puppy's bark as if it tried to call us desperately. Then we made up our minds that we would go into it as well, as we still had hope that it would lead us somewhere safe and peaceful.....
