Chapter 20 - Lia's confusion

After some time Lia managed to return. She couldn't sense Karl anywhere in her castle. She had teleported directly to the library. Her eyes glowed as she looked up. She could see Kina and Mia standing but the seemed to be discussing something.

Lia disappeared. Kina sensed a fluctuation in space and was greeted by a sight of a red haired woman. Kina smiled slightly. Lia was like her daughter since she is the on who raised her.

"Seems our dear guest was itching for a breakthrough. Though I don't get it how you met him." Kina said with a mischievous smile. Mia had a neutral expression on her face. She already knew part of it.

"Well it's not that important, am just fulfilling my part of the deal." Lia said. She would tell her the details later.

"I see." Also Kina didn't say more. The trio looked at the cave in silence.

"Lia what are your plans now in the human world." Mia asked. She knew many of Lia's secrets in the human world. Now that her sister was back to her peak, they needed to stabilise and expand their influence further.

"Lets start with New York first. I might get someone to put their for that though we will first see the results first." Lia said with a smile that wasn't a smile. She was planning to gain her own allies now. She knew most Vampires respected her because of her mother's power and influence. Lillith's name was feared by many in the supernatural world.

Now Lia was planning to gain trustworthy allies. It was evident to them who she referred to. Their gazes shifted back towards the cave. Kina's opinion on this was neutral but she wasn't against it either. According to her analysis he wasn't bad. And this could also be said for Mia.

"I think it's time to see him." Kina said and the trio disappeared. They appeared in the cave.

Karl was startled by the appearance of these beauties. He couldn't help but look at the three in appreciation. He stood stood up and stretched abit. "Hey am very grateful. This has helped me advance further." He said but suddenly remembered something that left him tongue tied. "How rude you really didn't tell me your name. Though am pretty sure you did some research on my background let me introduce myself. Am Karl Ainsworth nice to meet you ladies." He said looking at the tall women before him. The trio was over 190 cm same as him now. Though he knew they could shape shift.

Mia's expression remained neutral but Kina smiled abit. Few could act this casually before them. This guy really feared nothing or really had tough nuts. Lia looked at him. From the start she was analysing his character but it seemed fruitless.

"You know up until now no one has really acted the way you are now. Where does your confidence come from." Lia asked in a challenging tone which made Karl's eyebrows raise slightly. Vampires valued strength morethan anything. He was now getting excited though he didn't know why. What she meant was that he was in no place to ask her that, quite arrogant right. But he knew that wasn't the truth about it, something seemed odd here.

He took a few steps forward until he was three feet from her. He could smell her fragrance and he had to admit it was intoxicating. Kina and Mia just stood at the side in silence. They were just curious what he was going to do about it.

This could also be said for Lia. She wanted test a few things to see if he could be trusted.

Karl looked at the woman before him in silence and asked himself what she really lacked. Her family ruled this world which meant she completely had everything. His thoughts flashed at a rapid pace then he smiled.

You can have everything in the supernatural world like money but that was nothing what mattered was influence and power. He could now roughly guess what she was upto. She needed trustworthy allies in the human world as for the Vampire world only her strength would judge her position.

"I need to go home now it's abit late." Karl said and turned around walking towards the exit. This left the three women slightly confused. Initially they had thought he would act like some young masters and try to assert dominance. They smiled looking at his back. A real man knew when to backdown. Upon reaching the exit he turned around and looked directly at Lia.

"I know in you society something like trustworthy people is very rare so I won't ask for your trust. But if you have anything on mind am all ears." He said and turned into a golden beam of light that shot towards Lia's Castle. This greatly confused Lia. This speed was way beyond what he displayed when they were sparring. That level of speed wasn't of someone at Martial rank. It was definitely Transcended rank but how was that possible.

"You know this man's perception is quite terrifying. He has roughly guessed your intentions just like that." Mia pointed out something that astonished them. But this was morethan enough to prove himself.
