"I kind of like him now. He isn't a muscle head. Is it me or have you also noticed something about him." Kina said.
"Now that you talk about it, he is more handsome and his body is slightly more defined but how is that possible." Though they had been distracted, these ladies were elites thus they took every single thing in detail around them.
"Let's head back now. We have limited time anyway."
Karl walked silently as he was guided by a maid through the hallway. They arrived in a large living room. He immediately sat down on a sofa and the maid left. He turned his head towards the television but the programme was no different from that of the human world.
It didn't take long for a red haired woman to walk in. Her body was sexy which added more to her natural charm. She was holding red wine in her hand. She was known as a cold beauty who was untamed till now.
Lia served two glasses of wine. Both of them took a few sips silently. His eyes opened slightly in surprise. This wine was really delicious. This didn't escape her eyes. Her eyes never let him the moment she entered. The same could be said for him also.
"I know you are quite familiar with gangs in New York. You guessed it right I want to spread my influence in that region. Though I have many subordinates, I can't be everywhere to supervise everything." She said honestly much to his surprise."Though I have some influence in the human world, its limited. I want to spread my wings further. Am quite an ambitious woman and for that to be true I need competent people with whom I can trust my back. But before continuing let me introduce myself then."
Karl looked at this cold woman in silence and just nodded his head. He was sure there would be a huge surprise for him so he waited.
"Am Lia Athanasia the Vampire Princess daughter of the Vampire Queen Lillith Athanasia. Now that you know my name and identity, lets set in for the matters on the table." She smiled and he could see her slightly shortened fangs. One would find it had to live in this cold and dark environment but he felt nothing. Athanasia means 'Immortal' in ancient Greek. And her being a Vampire her ancestors carried a good name.
He felt her intensive gaze and though here it comes.
"You know being a Mafia is full of thorns as betrayal is the order of the day. The same can be said for the supernatural so loyalty is not something to expect. What I want you to do is actually simple. Your duty is to assist my in times I need you. You will be sent on various missions. But the benefits are substantial as
you will be paid in not less than 8 digits." Lia said with a neutral expression on her face.
This could not be said for Karl. He was shocked beyond belief. When one said Immortal creatures were broken you could scoff and shrug it off. But here he was offered a large amount of money as if nothing. These were millions of dollars. She didn't bat an eye. Though he tried to pretend calm, Lia easily saw it that he was taken aback by her proposal.
Maids who worked for the Vampire loyalty were paid not less than 7 digits so she didn't lose anything here. Karl turned silent, though the deal was good he didn't want to feel restricted and become someone's slave.
"The deal is good and all but I will have to refuse." He said looking directly in her eyes.
"What?" Lia was shocked. This was her first time to be rejected and it wasn't a good feeling. But as an elite she quickly recovered. "As you have been among humans have to be cautious. But worry not I won't intervene in your life. Take it as a job where I will contact you in time of need. Did you think you will be sitting around like it's kind of an office?" Now was her turn to look at him in wonder.
"As long as my normal life isn't intervened with we have a deal then." Karl said after some time. The beautiful red head smiled. She earned an ally in the human world who had strange abilities.
"Welcome to the Dawn. Once you are in the human world I will contact you. So be ready anytime." Lia said and clapped her hands.
Immediately a row of maids entered. They carried various things. "As a new member these are some of the things you receive though you are the first to do so. Most of my gang members are Vampires and mostly my maids so they already own their gears. You will need this card." She threw a black card towards him which he caught. There was nothing on it but it was definitely a bank card.
"It's your bank card. We can't pay you normally as your government will trace your money. So that's convenient. Those vary from battle suits to formal clothing." She said pointing at the things brought by the maids.
"I don't think I can move with them around. I will just leave them here." He figured out the problem but Lia just laughed. It was amusing to see his expressions since he came. They were really funny. "Hey, what's funny about it."
