'What was he doing here?.'
"Milady." He bowed his head slightly and she returned with a nod.
"I'm sorry to be intruding your rest milady." His voice calm as water spoke.
"There is no problem in coming here, the balcony is free for all. Please, join me." She forced a polite smile on her face and he joined her on the balcony whilst looking into the far horizon.
Focusing her attention back outside, she inhaled the fresh air that danced around. The sky was one of the unique qualities that the underworld possessed. Maybe sometime she could actually see it from up close and not just staring at it from afar.
"Celestial requested that I immediately give you this. It might be of some use later on." He brought forward a book which Lisa didn't realise he was holding and he placed it on her hand.
He was about to pull his hand back but the back of his palm slightly touched hers and a black flash blinded her sight as the earth beneath her feet dissolved, swallowing her in the process and she fell to the ground with a light thud.
Her face was met with a black carpet and she coughed as some dust entered her nose.
'Where am I?.' She wondered as she stood up to see the most old fashioned decorated room she had ever encountered in her life.
Though there wasn't dust in every corner of the room, it still felt like it hadn't been used in a long time.
She moved from her position and ran towards the door but the door pulled open and two people walked in hurriedly before one of them locked the door behind him.
"Are you alright?." The man that had entered asked and Lisa stepped backwards in shock.
It was the blue eyed man. What was he doing here and why did he look so different?.
She couldn't see the woman because she backed her but she could clearly see the blue eyed man.
"I'm alright and thank goodness our baby is too." The woman held a small baby in her arms and the blue eyed man smiled gently.
"He is a strong one isn't he?." He carried the baby out of the woman's hands and Lisa couldn't be more surprised by what was happening right now.
Wasn't he part of the guardian council?. Like short form of guardian angels?. What was an angel doing with a woman and that to a child?.
"He is." The woman chuckled and smoothened the child's black hair.
"He looks just like you Castiel." The woman smiled sadly and Lisa had a feeling that a big twist was coming soon so she braced herself.
"But he will have your feisty character." Castiel drew the woman close to peck her forehead and they looked like the most perfect family Lisa had ever witnessed.
"I almost don't want to leave." Castiel whispered and the woman stepped back as tears spilt out of her eyes.
"Then don't leave Castiel. You're family needs you. I need you."
Lisa frowned slightly as she had a few guesses about where this was going.
"The guardians already have an idea about us. If I stay any longer they will kill you and our child Madeline. We can't live in fear all our life." He pleaded and handed back the child to her carefully.
"I don't care Castiel, if I die, I'll be happy to die beside you." The woman took a step closer to him but he moved backwards.
"I can't let you die Madeline or let our son be left alone. I promise, as soon as I get the chance, I'll be back." He turned around and before Lisa could watch what happened next, the ground beneath her feet started cracking and it dissolved once again for her to open her eyes and see herself still holding on to Castiel's hand.
She realised that she had been holding his hand all this while. Pulling her hand back, she gave him a queasy smile and he returned it with a stare.
Well this is awkward
"Thank you for relaying the book, i-i have to go now." He gave her a quick nod and she immediately left.
Something odd was going on with her and she knew that only Lucas had the answers. She was definitely sure that the Castiel she saw was the same Castiel she had just met just a lot younger.
And also, the flash was similar to what she felt when she put her hand on that portrait, just that at that time she didn't fall through a hole on the floor.
Why did what she saw always feel so real?.
She went back to Lucas's room and paced around restlessly as her heart raced anxiously. She got tired of waiting and took a bath before changing into a pink nightgown that barely reached her knees.
She looked at the sky once more and saw the lightening that hid beneath the clouds indicating that rain was coming soon.
Not wanting to wait any longer, she left the room.
Walking through the quiet halls, she shivered due to the eeriness and silence around it.
She heard a raven crow at the distance and hastened her steps. The thunder growled as rain fell lightly on the roofs.
Her feet felt cold against the cool floor as she was not wearing shoes. Not knowing which room to go to, she randomly opened doors and walked to a deeper part of the castle she had never been to.
Finally, she stopped at a door that looked very different from other doors. It had old carvings engraved and a beautiful colour on it but that was not what caught her attention.
What caught her attention was Lucas's voice that was coming from behind it, accompanied with a feminine voice.
Her heart drummed against her ears as she slowly reached out to pull the door handle.
'Lucas wouldn't do what she thought, right?.'
The door creaked open and she saw Lucas on the couch but as she guessed, he was not alone.
Audrey was beneath him, whimpering as his face was totally buried in her neck and his hands were wrapped intimately around her waist.
"N-no"She stuttered in shock and Lucas as if sensing her presence pulled back to look at Lisa who stood stunned at the door.
'What was she doing here?.'
She caught sight of his fangs that were stained in blood and his eyes that were not it's usual colour. She stepped back in horror and hurt, immediately running away.
