"Don't worry, I won't let you kill me so easily." He assured.
Relief washed through Lisa's heart as she believed that Lucas would definitely stop her from killing him if that ever happened. Right?.
"Castiel left the dining abruptly, immediately after you left, did he come to you?." He questioned with slight interest as his eyes narrowed down at her.
"You mean the blue eyed man?" Asked Lisa and Lucas nodded.
"Did he say anything of relevance to you? Or did you find out something from him?." His quizzical questions made Lisa to look at him in a weird way.
How did he know that she saw something from him?
"I don't know how but when I touched him, I felt like I was transported to a different place." Her brows knitted as she tried remembering everything she saw in details.
"I saw Castiel and a woman running away from something and they ended up in a room, he was saying something about promising to come back and there was also a child that the woman was holding."
Lucas was surprised by this information
"Castiel had a child?."
"I was also surprised when I saw it. It seemed like he really did love the woman but he had to go. Do you think that the guardian council found out and that was why they were hiding?." Asked Lisa curiously.
"I'm not sure." Lucas replied seriously. For an angel to have a relation with a person was a serious offence on its own and for that angel to have a child? He didn't think that the guardian council was aware of this, if not Castiel wouldn't be alive.
"Did you hear them mention any names?." He focused his attention on Lisa who nodded her head and answered.
"He called the woman Madeline."
Lucas frowned at this information and after some thinking, his eyes blazed with anger which confused Lisa.
"Do you know who the woman is?" She asked him softly.
"Yes and no." He replied but didn't reveal more.
Castiel should not be who Lucas thought he was. Because if he finds out that Castiel actually is that person, he was going to kill him with his own hands!.
*Flashback*
"What are you doing mother." A young dark haired boy ran to his mother's side who was staring at the sky lovingly.
"I'm waiting for your father." She smiled sweetly and picked up a red rose which turned black at her touch.
The young boy sighed sadly. Even though he was young, he definitely wasn't stupid to know that his father wasn't coming back.
"Mother, you have to forget about him and move on with life. A man who doesn't care about his love doesn't need to be remembered." He tried to convince his mother but she hushed him immediately.
"Don't say that Lucas dear." She smiled at him and ruffled his hair slightly" I knew that you would look just like him." Picking herself up, she held his hand and led him to the room to give him something which she had hidden from him all these years.
In a folded cloth, she brought out a silver chain which had a cross at the centre.
"Your father gave this to me to give it to you later. And once I give it to you, someday in the future when you find the perfect girl, you will give it to her." She wore the chain on his neck and he gave her a slight bow.
"Thank you for the gift mother, but I don't think I will be falling in love in the future." He lifted his head and gave her a blank face which made her chuckle.
"That's what they all said." She dropped the cloth back and coughed heavily which startled Lucas.
"Are you alright mother?." He asked and she took a sharp intake of breath before waving it off with a smile.
"You worry too much Lucas, it's just a cough."
But it wasn't just a small cough, day by day Lucas watched his mother anxiously wait for his father as her health gradually decreased, but he never came. Not even when his mother lay on her death bed.
"Never blame yourself for not being able to save me." She coughed up blood and Lucas immediately cleaned it with a cloth.
"My only regret is me not living long enough to see my daughter in law." She smiled weakly.
"Lucas?." Her tired voice called out to him.
"Yes mother."
He had tried his best, he had done everything but yet she was still dying.
"If you ever meet your father, tell him I never stopped loving him." She mumbled before her eyes dropped heavily.
"I'll go to sleep now." She murmured and Lucas stared blankly at her before replying.
"Have some rest mother."
And that was the last time he ever saw his mother's smile again.
The hate and resentment he had for his father, only grew worse when he laid his mother to rest.
*End of Flashback*
Lucas pondered over it thoughtfully. The only way he could find out if his theory was correct was to meet Castiel and Castiel was presently not in the underworld.
That was going to be a problem.
"Lucas are you alright?." Lisa pursed her lips in uncertainty.
Why was he so quiet? What was he thinking about?.
Lucas looked at the angel he held in his hands and pinched her cheeks playfully"Of course I am, I need to go somewhere now and I'll send some friends to keep you busy."
He stood up to leave but she clunged tightly to him"Lucas, I feel like you are going to do something that I won't like."
He stayed quiet for a while before replying" I won't do that, now move along, because the earlier I leave, the earlier I come back."
The reason was solid and she reluctantly left him. Since he was backing her, she couldn't see the expression he wore right now.
"Good girl." He praised her before leaving the room and she stared at the door in uncertainty. She didn't know why but she felt like Lucas acted a little odd.
Not paying heed to that, she shrugged her shoulders and went to the bath. She had to trust Lucas completely.
