Chapter 60 - *AN OLD ACQUAINTANCE*

A knock interrupted their hug and Carmillia and Lisa exchanged confused glances.

"Are you expecting someone?." Carmillia asked while eyeing the door.

"I don't think so. You stay here and I'll have a look." Lisa informed and Carmillia nodded. She stood up and opened the door and to her surprise, she sighted Theodore who bowed his head slightly and she returned the bow.

"Good day milady." He smiled politely.

"A good day to you too Theodore, what brings you here?."

"I came to have a little chat with Carmillia." He answered truthfully and Carmillia who was standing behind Lisa, stepped into view and gave Theodore a hard stare while trying to figure out what plan he had been brewing in that mind of his.

She sighed at the end and turned to Lisa"It was nice talking to you Lisa, I hope we can always have times like this.

Lisa's face beamed in happiness and she gave Carmillia a quick hug before whispering in her ear"Make sure to tell me all about your time with Theodore as well." She pulled back from the hug and Carmillia smiled at Lisa before she stepped out of the room with Theodore.

"What do you want Theodore?." Her tone turning sharper now that they were alone.

" Don't be harsh darling. Come, I want to show you something." He grabbed her wrist immediately pulling her down the hall and Carmillia out of curiosity, followed.

While they walked hand in hand, Carmillia noticed some of the maids giving her odd looks and she blandly ignored them.

Those fools had nothing better to do than to gossip all day.

Looking at the surroundings that were getting darker and creepier, she realised where they were heading to.

His room!.

As if knowing that she was going to back out when she found out where they were going, as soon as they entered the room, he locked the door tightly and went to the bed, rummaging through his stuff.

Carmillia stood there stunned, not exactly knowing what to do, she pursed her lips, using that leverage to look around the room. It wasn't an average room yet it wasn't as extravagant as Lucas's own. It was simple and had a warm vibe to it.

"Found it!" She heard him rejoice and she turned around to see to see paint brushes, a pallet and an easel which was covered with a black cloth.

"Do you know how to paint?." She asked Theodore who nodded eagerly.

"Come closer and see my latest masterpiece." He motioned for her to remove the cloth and slowly, she approached the easel, removing the cloth and freezing completely.

In the picture was Carmillia in a beautiful dress, lying on the grass with a cute looking child beside her, who looked to be reading a book.

Carmillia totally lost her voice. All she could do was just to stare at the painting with her mouth hanging opening for what seemed like eternity before she finally spoke.

"D-did you paint this Theodore?."

"Of course. What do you think of the drawing?." A faint smirk of triumph played on his lips.

What did she think? What type of question was that!? This drawing was so beautiful, it must be almost priceless.

"It's quite beautiful though, who is that child beside me?" She kept on staring at the child who looked like her but was different in some aspects.

The child had short black hair, grey eyes, a little chubby face and the child seemed to be too serious in the book that he was reading.

"That's Cadore, our future child."

Carmillia"...."

Lisa who had been looking for where she dropped the book given to her by Celestial finally found it.

She quickly flipped through it and found out that it was a spell book. Each spell written in the book was fascinating, which made her want to try it out.

But she couldn't do that here, she didn't want to harm the reaper nor grey by mistake.

"Mr reaper, I need to go out to practice some spells, will you be alright alone?."

It nodded it's head and Lisa also bid her farewell to grey whose ears were now flopping down.

"I'll be back soon grey, and I promise to play fetch with you." She promised the wolf and it licked her face.

Seeing that everything was done, she left the room to find a suitable place to practice her magic.

After finding a closed off area, she started learning how to make the wind follow her command. at first it was not working at all but as she continued, she progressed and improved until she finally got it.

"I advise milady for you to not practice your powers here, if not it might cause quite some trouble and commotion."

Lisa froze, she couldn't believe it. It couldn't be could it?.

Swiftly, she spun around to meet someone she least expected she would ever meet again.

"Zain?" She whispered in disbelief. Was he also a demon? Was she the only one that was unaware about the underworld!? Did everyone else know?.

"What are you doing here?." She asked him while also noting how much he changed. Zain was her high school crush, and seeing him now, she didn't know exactly what she was feeling.

He was still as handsome as ever. Short blonde hair, an out of this world face, tonned muscles that hid beneath his clothes and a pair of black eyes.

"I should be asking you that question." His expression was a mixture of surprise and astonishment.

"It's a long story. But what about you? Why are you in the underworld? Are you also a demon?"

"I'm not actually. I'm a vampire. I came here to meet with the prince for urgent matters." He explained and Lisa nodded thoughtfully.

"You look beautiful Lisa." His sudden compliment threw Lisa offguard and she blushed.

"Thank you. And you look nice too." She returned the compliment and she heard him chuckle.

"I can sense it, I don't know why but you smell different than other People I've met. It's almost like a sweet aroma that I can't get enough of."

Lisa frowned, worry lines marring on her face "What do you mean?"

"I mean, I think you are my mate."
