Astral would look to the stars. Wishing to travel, his suit was ready and he had his wings ready for directional control. He would wave to Anders as he bent his legs and would jump straight up. Once he escaped the Earth's atmosphere he could use his arms to glide him through space to the first place with life.
The first of these trips was a highly interesting one. He found another colony of human life. The planet look alot like earth. filled with flora and oceans. However from an orbital view, he saw no modern technology. He would slowly descend using the gravity of the planet to be the thing that pulls him down. Once he had landed his suit would be overheated and would vent itself before disguising itself.
He would look around, he would look to the trees, seeing all new species he would mark them down. Being filled with a joyous glee of exploration he would look at each different plant and write down its genome while taking a sample seed from each plant to store in the pocket dimension.
Not caring for his surroundings he wouldn't hear the four people sneak up from behind him. He would be observing the mega fauna and other animal species. Taking many pictures before a spear was hurled at his direction.
"Oll mor fie. Sway Mae!" The man who threw the spear would speak. Standing at an impressive seven feet tall. Dressed in nothing but animal hides from the pics that Astral looked at. Two women, both of which stood at an impressive six feet and eight inches tall, dressed in the part of animal hides as well would be shouting "Sway Mae!" Astral would try to piece together this language. The other man that was with them would draw a line with his spear in the ground. "Passimaru"
Astral would look at them in awe. "There is humans that speak a new language. Oh I couldn't be happier!" He would hold out his hand as Alexa appeared. "Can you remind me to make a translator device, notably an earpiece that can translate foreign languages based off of speech patterns." The four of them would back up as much as possible all hiding behind each other, fear enveloped their eyes as Astral summoned his helper.
"Aww can someone not translate a language that he doesn't know?" Alexa would tease him. "But sure, I will add it to your list of projects, for now, admit you don't know everything and I will help you translate." Alexa would lay down in his hand, she really personified the lazy side of him.
"Sure, I am a braindead person who doesn't know anything about the universe comparatively to such a super computer such as yourself." Astral would set her onto his shoulder as the wind slowly blew at his back. His hoodie and sweatpants being tight to his body he would smile at the others. The four of them all got in a defensive stance and got ready to fight. "Was that satisfying enough for you?" He would ask while he put his arms behind his back. One thing that he noted was that each one of these people in front of him had matching color eyes of a hazel green. The four of them all shouting in unison. "Sway mae!"
"Yeah it is, For about an hour of my services." Alexa would speak as she would sit up on his shoulder resting against his head. "They are telling you to stay back." Astral would take a step forward. They would step backward still shouting.
"See, they are harmless." He would take another step forward. They would step back. "Alexa, all humans act the same, I promise you." They would all charge him at once, Astral pushed them too far. His hands were behind his back for a reason. He would summon the Murasama to his side. The flash of light not even fazing the ones coming at him. Unsheathing the katana he would slice the four of them down while putting it back in his sheath. stepping carefully over the bodies.
"It's almost like you expected them to attack? How?" Alexa would ask while looking at the dead bodies on the ground.
"When backed into a corner, there is a fight or flight response. I triggered it and now I know a little more about the entire species of these humans, they are hyper aggressive, no wonder why their civilization is stuck. They are too busy fighting. But why?" Astral would be on the ground looking at the four bodies, each one with extreme muscle density compared to normal humans. "Alexa, point me to the highest density of people, and when you do you are dismissed." He would take blood injections from the dead bodies as well as tissue samples for Anders to have fun with.
"Boo, you are no fun, I want to see more carnage, highest density of life is directly three hundred miles straight. Or north." She would fizzle into non existence as Astral sat down and created the earpiece real quickly. Popping it in he would start his trek to the city in the north, taking as many photos and samples on his way north.
It had been a full days journey for Astral as he made it there during the dead of night. Scouting along the outer walls he would jump up and land softly and quietly on the southern wall. Looking into the kingdom he would be looking for anything and anyone to explain the history of this planet and how it works. He would peer into the main castle and slowly make its way to the library of the castle.
Once he made inside, he would help himself to the books. Taking multiple hours just do decode the language. Once he had figured it out someone emerged from the shadows with baby blue eyes, with matching blue robes and long brown hair, the frame was skeleton like and bare boned. "Sir, welcome to the sanctum. How may I help the otherworldly being."
Astral was taken aback by the sudden entrance of the new figure. Looking up he felt like this man stood no threat, as he was significantly shorter than everyone else he has seen and met. "Oh nothing really. I am just trying to learn more about your cultures and history. If you care to join me it would be nice. I would love to have someone to talk to and explain some of the cultural things. Like why everyone points out eye color." Astral would look up to the man who froze, cyan eyes.
"Uh, sure sure, It's just that generally eyes determine what you do in life. Mine are baby blue, meaning that I am bound to history. Purple eyes are the royal family eyes. Everyone born into the family only have purple eyes, and nothing but purple, no chance at outside colors to be purple." He would pull out a book from one of the shelves as Astral read up on each conflict in history.
However their methods were much different than that from earth. Combat and violence ruled versus logic and tactics. He would study these people, seeing the true nature of humans. They had a very special working of their hierarchy. "So your leader is whoever can seize the throne and defend it?"
"Correct sir. Here, I will go down the list of eye colors. Hazel are hunters by trade." Astral then got hit with the mental flashbang from the first of these humans he met. All four had hazel eyes. "From there you have historians with baby blue, warriors have red eyes and of course the royals with the purple eyes."
Astral would be writing each and every one of these explanations down on a spare notebook. "One thing I must ask before you continue. What about the cyan eyes. It seems to be the thing that set back your civilization millenia?" Astral would see the man before him freeze.
"There was a ruler who took the throne who had cyan eyes, no one else knew about these eyes because they are so rare, but now they are associated with death. Due to the massive war that destroyed the planet." He would pull out a book for Astral to read. "This has all of the contents of the book, explaining what happened. Only historians were the major eye color to live through it outside of people who lived isolated, like the royal family." Astral would peel his attention to the book he was handed. Opening it and seeing the tech they had at the time was pre world war two.
"The other eyes," The historian took a moment to collect himself. "Craftsman have blue eyes. Leaders, the ones who are usually on the throne have yellow. Lumberer's have green, and brown eyed people are generally considered peasants, doing grunt work for all the other eyes." He would keep going through the book as Astral wrote down the hierarchy. "Fishermen and mariners are generally a pink color. Heterochromia is popular in our society. Allowing for people to serve multiple roles rather than just one. Lastly, a bunch of colors that no one knows about. Like gold, and black. There has been one of each reported but both did nothing to society."
Astral would stand and understand this world. It is in such ruin and disarray that it needs to be completely rebuilt. "Thank you for all of your time, but I must be going now. I have other places to be." He would slowly walk away as the historian would speak softly.
"Thanks for listening to me." He would sit and cry on the ground as Astral crawled out the window. Hopping outside of the city. Then back into space to head home.
