Chapter 22 - That's Only Sylvia's Right!

"Sylvia, you have to go find Lord Favian. You are busy working here in the garden for hours. You shouldn't stay away from him for so long." Gianna advised.

Sylvia had found her way of relaxing. She watched a gardener working in the garden around Lord Favian Golding's villa. Her curious self drew her close to the man to see what exactly he was doing.

And the next thing she knew was that she had taken a liking for gardening. She found her mind at peace, and all her problems faded away for the time being in the company of colourful flowers and lush green plants.

"I am almost done here. He must be busy in his work anyway." Sylvia muttered, not caring to glance up at the old woman.

Gianna pursed her lips with distaste.

"Are you waiting for him to call you, request you to be with him?" The irritation laced with anger in Gianna's words, made Sylvia blink at the woman.

"I didn't mean that."

"Then get up and go find him. Bring something to drink for him and don't leave his side until he say so." Gianna ordered.

Sylvia's jaw ticked, but she didn't want to get beaten or punished like she used to in the beginning for her rebellions.

It took her months to win the trust of these people, especially Favian to lessen her torture. She didn't want to mess it up again.

She left her work in her hands and stood up. Going to the bucket of water, she began cleaning her mud-stained hands. Gianna advanced to help Sylvia, which the latter didn't mind.

"Sylvia," Gianna began in a softer voice. "Look, girl. You are young and beautiful, the most beautiful woman My Lord has ever taken! I have never seen him taking so much liking toward any other woman, not even his wives.

He truly feels happy with you, and you should consider yourself grateful for it. You have to always look after his well-being and make sure that there will be not a single moment where he would be upset or sad."

That woman always found a way to get on Sylvia's nerves. If she didn't know better, then she would have considered that woman obsessed with Favian Golding.

"Sure"

Sylvia wiped her hands with a towel before smoothening the creases on her dress.

"Now go and don't forget to get something to drink for Lord Favian." Gianna shooed her away with a smile of relief.

She was getting convinced that Sylvia would be the only woman surviving in this villa and would always be staying by Lord Favian's side.

Gianna was happily counting the coins she received as a reward from Favian. He believed that the reason for Sylvia's obedience and acceptance of her fate was Gianna. He thought the old lady had tamed Sylvia well, and thus he rewarded her generously.

Going to Favian was the last thing Sylvia wanted to do. She hated that man with every fibre of her being. The day she gets her hands on her wand would be the worst nightmare of Favian Golding for sure!

Sylvia asked the cook in the kitchen to prepare pomegranate juice for Favian- his favourite drink. She waited there, ignoring the suggestive glances she received from the cook.

Before the man made another advance, Sylvia picked up the tray and left without sparing another glance his way. Her feet were light against the floor as she made her way toward Favian's study room.

Favian didn't have many servants in his villa, only a few he trusted completely. And all of those servants were now accustomed to Sylvia's presence now. But that didn't stop them from murmuring gossip about her.

Sylvia ignored them all. That was the only survival skill she could use in this place.

She was about to knock on the door of Favian's study room when she paused, hearing some noises coming from the other side. Frowning a little, she pushed the door open in a narrow slit.

Her eyes swept over the place before they went wide in shock. Sylvia's hands clutched the tray tightly as she watched with wide eyes and parted lips.

There stood Favian, railing back against the edge of the large wooden table. His pants were down, and his fingers had disappeared in the blonde clouds.

A bead of sweat rolled down his forehead, his eyes clenched shut and jaw tight. He grunted loudly.

And there was a girl on her knees right in front of Favian, her hands holding onto his thighs as her head bobbed forward and backwards.

Sylvia sucked a sharp breath. She didn't know what she felt at that moment. Since she was brought here by Favian, he had always been with her only. The possibility of him with another woman didn't cross Sylvia's mind.

Gianna told that Favian was a loyal man.

What kind of loyalty was that?

Didn't he rob Sylvia's dignity by force on more than one occasion? Didn't he practically make her his slave? Didn't he torture and tormented her until she moulded as per his liking? Didn't she give him the pleasure he desired every night and also during the days whenever he demanded it?

Then why was he going behind her back and ruining another innocent life?

Disgust was the subtle feeling that could describe what Sylvia felt for that man at that moment. She was about to barge in and save that girl irrespective of the consequences of her action when she heard Favian's voice about finding his release.

She knew that sound very well. And every time she heard it, it killed the kindness within her piece by piece.

Favian was panting loudly. The old bastard had no shame at all. He tugged at the hair of that girl before pulling her up on her feet. Sylvia watched her shoulders shaking, and she thought the girl must be crying.

Favian smirked before wiping the girl's mouth. Sylvia couldn't see her face as her back faced her.

Who was that girl? She had not seen her before in the villa.

She saw the girl leaning forward, it confused her but Favian pushed her back with a stern glare.

"No. That's only Sylvia's right!"

Those words made Sylvia feel like gagging. She had no right on him, nor did he have any on her.

He then pulled up his pants before walking around his desk. He pulled out a drawer and rummaged through it before making his way toward that girl.

"Here."

If Sylvia was shocked before, then she was dumbstruck now.

"The money you asked for. You can save your family from becoming homeless. And if you need more then you know how to please your Lord."

"Thank you very much, My Lord! You are the most generous man I have ever met in my life. Thank you very much!!" The girl bowed her head before she turned around to leave.

But what left Sylvia speechless was the look of happiness on that girl's face.
