Two days later, Favian sat discussing some matters with a few influential people of Broughton. These five people were amongst the first few families that came to settle in Broughton and basically built that town. Other families, left or got wiped away over time, but these five families remained to hold their place against time.
There were not only the ancient families but also the most influential families in Broughton. Every generation of these families was pledged to look after the well-being and survival of the people in Broughton.
With Lord Favian being the richest man in the region, they went to him to discuss some matters regarding the town and its people whenever they seemed fit. Favian enjoyed these meetings because somewhere he knew that his ancestors were not idiots to maintain great relationships with these families.
