"Are you okay, Ru?" Nell's soft spoken words and worried voice float to Ruth's ears in the quiet of the night.
Ruth can not bring herself to voice her worry about the prince out in the air, she knows and is sure that Nell is going to make fun of her saying she has something for the prince. Of course she has, she has liked him for years now. But she knows, she knows where her place is in this hierarchy. That does not make her to stop loving him though, in fact, she won't ever stop doing that.
"What is it, Ruth?" Nell tries again, and she is utterly confused by Ruth's sudden act up, why is she coming into the chamber only now? Nell has been asleep for hours now.
"It is nothing. Nothing you should worry about, Nell. Go back to sleep." She says, pressing her face more into the pillow as she tries to get some sleep herself.
