A YEAR LATER☆☆
Standing at the entrance of the Pearl City International Airport, a lady clad in a shiny black leather jacket held her luggage in one hand, while the other hand habitually adjusted the black sunglasses that shielded her eyes from the vibrancy of the light bulbs that lit the outside of the airport.
She inhaled deeply as she took in the home-like air that filled the atmosphere into her nostrils, and she exhaled with satisfaction.
"I am back, Pearl City!" She announced excitedly, a sweet smile lingering on her lips at the feeling of being back in her city.
Brushing aside the strands of black hair that attempted to block her beautiful face, she looked ahead and mumbled a few words under her breath, her smile turning into something more malicious.
"Yes, I am back and this is good news..."
Immediately, her stern glares shot at the red car that screeched to a stop in front of her, further widening the devious smile on her lips. "....and bad news to my enemies."
Her eyes turned chilly at her own statement, and her hands balled into fists at her side. Her delicate fingers clutched against the handle of her luggage and she took a deep breath.
"You are no longer gonna sleep peacefully ever again now that I am back," She declared with a smug smile plastered on her pretty face.
"Bae, who are you talking to?" A tall handsome red-haired guy standing at her right hand suddenly demanded with his brows creased in confusion, jolting the young lady from her mental schemes back to the present.
He had assumed she was speaking to the driver in the car until he saw that the man at the steering wheel was occupied with the phone.
When he realised his assumption was wrong, he retracted his gaze to the lady by his side.
"Are you perhaps feeling unwell?" He quizzed concern written all over his face as his eyes narrowed to study her expression.
Instantly, her deadly expression turned soft upon hearing the guy's genuinely worried tone, and she turned her head to look at him
The corner of her lips lifted to reveal a sweet smile and she asked. "How could I ever be unwell when I have my two babies at my side?"
She raised her hand to gently soothe his temple with her slender fingers.
"Well...where are we going after leaving here?"
The guy in a grey shirt standing at her left-hand side dropped a question. He naturally slid the dark-coloured sunglasses from his eyes, revealing a pair of brown orbs that screamed sexiness at first glance.
"Home!" The lady asserted with a grin. She removed her hand from the other guy's face and turned her attention to the one that spoke.
"We are going home, Babe," Her eyes twinkled as she stared into his fascinating brown orbs.
"Let's go." She announced and made her way to the red car parked not far away from where they stood.
Before she entered the car, a tall handsome guy accompanied by two sturdy men in casual wear sighted her from afar.
"She is back!" He exclaimed, his eyes fixed on the lady whose partner just opened the door for.
"Who!" The guy in a green short sleeve shirt asked. He scrutinized the spacious area filled with people in search of any acquaintance.
But he found no one after his search.
"I can smell trouble from here… and fortunately I have the perfect solution for that," He murmured, his dark eyes turned murderous.
"What trouble…,"
"Have some of our men keep an eye on her. Her name is Giavanna Henry," He announced.
"Every of her moved should be reported to me," He ordered.
The guy in green clothes turned around in time and saw the lady whom his Boss referred to.
From what he noticed, he saw nothing weird about her that smelled trouble.
Although it was late into the night, the atmosphere at the airport would make one mistake the liveliness for daytime.
Five minutes later, the red sports car with four occupants, the driver included, was wounded out of the airport in style and into the street.
...
On the anniversary of Giavanna's disappearance, a man in a grey suit was seen rummaging through documents that had piled up on his desk.
He was so immersed in his work to the extent he didn't see a lady stomping towards his office with a gloomy expression until she kicked the door open.
Instantly, his gaze snapped at the door as he looked ready to lash out at the audacious employee who dared to treat his office as his home that he could just barge into.
But after seeing who had walked in, he held his tongue, and his eyes inquisitively narrowed.
"Eve!" His pupils dilated in surprise as he wasn't expecting her to barge into his office in such an outrageous manner.
His eyebrows slanted downwards, signifying how displeased he was with her mannerless actions.
"Are you aware this is…" The lady named Eve, strolled to the right side of the room before he could finish his sentence.
In front of the glass walls, she shot a deadly glare at the employees whose attention was on her, but all looked away when she hit them with those death beams she called eyes.
"What a bunch of gossip," She hissed out with visible annoyance before letting down the white blinds to offer her and the man some privacy.
"And what the hell do you think you are doing....."
"She is back!" Eve announced, cutting him off sentence once again. Her fierce gaze pierced his irked expression.
Eve took slow steps towards his desk, her eyes narrowing into an accusatory slit.
"Were you aware of this and yet kept the truth from me?" she asked, but it sounded more like an accusation rather than an inquiring question.
