"I'm ready," Aylin's voice pulled Kian out of the conversation he was having with Trevor, and he turned to face her.
Aylin stared openly at him like she always did, but this time, with an uncertain glint in her eye.
"Is the cloak needed? Can't I take it off? At least for now?" Aylin questioned Kian as she looked down at herself.
Kian also did the same, his eyes roaming her outfit which consisted of a light grey cloak over a simple dress with her hair tied into a low bun.
He had insisted that she wear the cloak to cover up her appearance and avoid drawing unwanted attention, considering she looked different from the people in their realm.
Kian contemplated for a moment before responding, "It's best to keep the cloak on for now. We're going to a place where it's better if you remain discreet."
Aylin sighed but complied, pulling the cloak tighter around herself. "Alright, I'll keep it on," she said, trying to hide her disappointment.
